Really good but kinda tasted like by dogs left foot….. not sure what’s happening there. Loved the food love the people love the dogs. Woof woof! The workers were so nice. Love it will go again. Special thanks to xi hui chen (I think sorry if spelt wrong) he made my order!

One of my favourite Chinese takeaways in Harrogate, been ordering from here for years and have never had an issue that hasn’t been resolved. Lovely staff and delivery drivers and the food is absolutely delicious!

Useful location being near the hospital (19:30 on a Sunday night meant limited options), ordered the special fried rice and it was lovely! Will recommend to friends.

Ordered x2 Squid. Very oily and hard,my belly start hurting after it,want to vomit. Not happy

Two phone calls to see where our food was, lying about when it would be ready. 2+ hours late. When the food finally got here it was missing items. Will not be using again

If I could give this a zero star I would!! Never eat in here how can anyone possibly cook anything within 2 an half minutes from placing my order is beyond me. Clearly a microwave job at its best.

Food is good but getting to expensive as prices have risen lately. Improve the delivery time? Hahaha, its got worse. Ordered a meal at 4.15pm, 5.20pm still not here so rung up and told it will be another 15mins. Disgraceful service

Taste of China, it’s a taste of something but NOT China! Kung Po inedible, pork really fatty, few cashew nuts dumped on top. Szechuan chicken unrecognisable, vermicelli like nothing we’ve seen or tasted before. Worst £15 ever spent, food thrown away! Feel nauseous thinking about it. Cash only, I understand why, grab your cash and run! AVOID taste of China!

The combo box I had tonight was tasty and excellent value. This used to be one of my favourite Chinese takeaways and I hope they get their act back together.

The food was amazing. Delivery brilliant driver very friendly. Can’t wait for next one wish they were near where we lived.

Best takeaway in Harrogate. Salt and pepper box is always a hit. Food varies in arrival time based on the day of the food but it's always hot upon arrival. Reccomend the Malaysian crispy chicken. 10/10

Really good value Chinese. Would get 5 star if they accepted card payments, cash only at the takeaway.

After 15 years of ordering from here, told it would arrive 45 mins to 1 hour. Arrived at 2 hours and five minutes. Kids in bed. Told to pay with £10 discount. No chance - poor management. That said, to be fair, the food is delicious. Feel so let down.

3 hours waiting for delivery had to go pick it up in the end

Once one of the best Chinese takeaways in the area, this place has gone into steep decline over the last year. Their noodle boxes used to be a delight and excellent value, but mt last combo box was nearly all noodle and little else. The Thai box I got last night was laced with dry chicken that tasted of shop-bought green curry paste The main menu is an uninspired selection of bland dishes in stingy portions. Cash only accepted -- not great in these times.

The lady on the phone is really sweet and did everything perfectly. It was a shame when I walked in that you could audibly hear her getting yelled at by her anemic 12-year old looking older brother. Rant aside. The duck spring rolls were excellent with the exception of a bone that I found in the first bite of my first one, no others in the rest of them. The pancake rolls wer underwhelming, I couldn't taste any meat in those only beansprouts, however the batter was lovely.

Having eaten with ToC for a long time we are disappointed with he last 2 deliveries. Rice is refried and mushy. Ordered 2 different meals but apart from the meat they looked and tasted exactly the same. Deep fried chicken with sweet/sour is a very thin chicken in a weird coating that has a final tang to it. In the bin. Timing/delivery is great.

found one long black hair in my food...told myself it was my own....found another .... knew it wasnt mine as it was straight. Not good. Food not nice ... service poor ...long wait. Dingy place . Needs a hygiene check id say.take away

We have ordered from here for the second time,the food was lovely,good quality and fresh,good value for the portion size. the delivery turned up 5 mins early,I really cant understand either we have been very lucky or people complaining about nothing?

Got salt and pepper chicken wing and batter was falling off was greesy and had no flavour with one wing having been undercooked was pink and gf got curry and that was flavourless. Throw the whole lot in bin waste of 20 quid. Advice stay clear of this place.

We ordered food on a busy Friday night from a nearby Campsite, After a quick confirmation call of our location, the food all arrived promptly and the order was 100% right. Food was all good and hot. Prices are excellent and despite other negative reviews would still recommend them.

Waited almost 3 hours for our delivery, when I called I was told it would be 20 mins and there was a problem in the kitchen. I wouldn’t have minded, but the excuse was that it has been very busy and so there was long delivery times, shocking that a take away food place being busy on a weekend!? I should have checked the reviews on her before hand as they all say the same thing and they take the piss with their delivery times. Oh and the App changed to say it was delivered to make sure they got paid in full for the order. I quickly sorted that out and informed Just Eat that they hadn’t even cooked our food when they told us it was delivery. Avoid.

The food was very good quality however it was delivered over 40 minutes late and one of of the starters was missing from the initial order so we had to ring up the premises to request it which was another 30 - 40 minute delay. I would order from Taste of China again, however they need to be realistic with waiting times as we were waiting over an hour in excess of what was advised on. Just-eat.com.

What a shame - this was the first time ordering a delivery from Taste of China - we are still waiting for our delivery 3 hours later!!!!!!!!! After phoning 2 times, one lady saying it was on route and the just eat app also said it was on its way just after calling but would be another 40 minutes! 2nd phone call the young man admitted there was a problem with the just eat app but it would be with us in half hour - still not arrived 3 hours later! When the food did arrive it was good but after waiting 3.5 hours you're not as enthusiastic!

I am sorry I will at no time in the far distant future be ordering any food from any Chinese restraunt or take away,in light of the current situation I am taking my health and wellbeing as top priority and not wanting to expose either mine or my family to anything from aisa.!!!!

Be waiting nearly 2 hours for our order rang twice and both times said would be 20 minutes and the lady on the phone said 1st there’s a problem with the kitchen and then said there’s a problem with the drivers...... if you can’t handle the pressure take yourself’s of ordering websites!!! Don’t waste your time waiting

Ordered several dishes from here and have nothing but praise for them. From the basics such as prawn crackers, which were plentiful, nice flavour, crisp and not a trace of greasiness and the white boiled rice, which was a good fluffy texture.I absolutely loved the hot noodle box! Stacks of meat and veg, along with tasty egg noodles coated in a well flavoured sauce. The Szechuan king prawns were also delicious, again with plenty of vegetables and a cracking spicy sauce and no stinging on the amount of prawns. Finally, the pork in batter with sweet and sour sauce. Love the doughnut like batter and the sauce was delicious. Only criticism (if it can be called that) is the amount of sweet and sour sauce. Way too much for us...Thank you Taste of China for a lovely meal.

Used many takeaways and taste of china is by far the best for taste alone. Does get busy and sometimes 45 minutes to arrive. But the wait is worth it. Wont use anyone else.

We’ve been going to taste of China ever since we moved round the corner, SIX YEARS AGO. Loved it then, and chose it over the Chinese next to it (golden gate)

This takeaway changed ownership a few months ago. We have tried to remain loyal but after a few dodgy times, tonight we will be calling it a day. Prices hiked, flavours lost but most unforgiving were the veggie spring rolls ordered... bit into them and they had chicken in them. Chips fried with old fat and good old curry sauce now tastes of cinnamon and corn flour. We will never go here again. Please spend your hard earned cash elsewhere.

Food arrived cold and tasteless. Driver claimed he had no change and said he would return, of course he didn’t!! Called the takeaway to complain. Driver returned insisting he owed half the money that he actually did. Horrendous service, awful food... avoid!!! Golden Harvest and Golden Gate are both tasty, honest and reliable.

Disgusted is an understatement.. I have been a vegetarian for 10 years, order vegetable spring rolls as I usually do.. took a bite into them and they were not vegetables, infact it was meat. Checked the bag for the receipt and it had not been given, checked my emails and the receipt had not been sent. I called up and asked for a refund for the spring rolls and they refused and blamed me. I went on to state that I’m not happy and would be giving a negative review I was told ‘go tell who you want.’ I will not be ordering from them again and will advice all family and friends to do the same.

We have often get our takeaway from here it is good value , fresh food , reasonably priced and a fab delivery service alway takes less than the quoted time. Well done guys here is to many more fabulous takeaways ...

I have just taken part in a few Pad Thai Boxes, plus a few sides. So please read on... Firstly, I have used Taste Of China for 20 years. Secondly, prawn crackers were not expected and not delivered. Why fill up on these free items that detract away from the true quality of food that you are about to indulge on! Thank you for not sending me these hunger & taste bud destroyers! Thirdly, I have eaten at many exclusive Restaurants in many countries and I have been served food that was 10x the price of what I paid tonight. The food I indulged on this evening was first class and 9 out of 10. I say 9 because perfection doesn’t exist! but this food was truly amazing this evening. To summarise the above, please try Taste Of China, I highly recommend them. Please don’t order at 7pm on a Saturday evening and complain your free prawn crackers were cold!!! Be respectful and understand that it’s difficult to be perfect under pressure!!! Enjoy your next order....

Esta noche decidimos coger un buen chino y estamos recomendado este llevar. Pedimos nuestra comida y preguntó si nos dan pan de gambas, ya que son gratis en pedidos más de £10 al cual respondieron sí, viene con pan de gambas, me pareció genial (ya que son la mejor parte de un chino).

Nos dieron una comida para llevar anoche con mi goloso compañero chino que siempre se queje dondequiera que vaya! (AMA), sin embargo, India esta vez a él le encantó! No demasiado grasiento, chili y verduras frescas a través tanto de nuestras comidas! Un servicio encantador y agradable cuando ordenes :)

I received a pot of black bean sauce.. Not even on the menu , as I am aware... A distinct lack of Chicken , as ordered.. How outsiders can RUIN your night in ...

Been customers for many years but never again! Ordered prawns with chilli and salt and there was a hair in it! Brown lettuce burnt onions just disgusting it is very hit and miss but won't risk it again

Beaut get together ,ordered the salt and pepper chips ,selection of spare ribs , quarter of duck , chilli crispy beef , chicken in black bean , sesame chicken Singapore fried rice ,noodles and curry sauce all was really tasty arrived in good time ,was not red hot but could of been traffic or anything ,would use again .

We've had many chinese in harrogate and I'm sorry to say this has got to be the worst ever house special chop suey had very little meat and it was all cabbage n it would be ideal if vegetarian ha, the carton was half full with the meal and the chips were dry n cold n tasteless, needless to say we won't be goin there again n not recommended to anyone

Salt and pepper dishes are awesome. Proper pieces of chicken. Plenty of onions and chilli peppers also. Have had this dish from most others in the area and nothing compares.

Fantastic food which never disappoints. Always order from here when visiting family and I've never had better. Fully recommend to anyone.

Ordered a takeaway Saturday 19th March 2016. the food was delivered in half the suggested time and was piping hot. Throughly enjoyed it and would use again.

Had numerous meals from here down the years and always been impressed by the efficient service and food. It's standard takeaway fayre but well done.

We were loyal customers until an incident changed our opinion our opinion now is that:'The Chinese is shocking! It took 2 and a half hour for a mediocre meal. The only good part was the free delivery. I am appalled by the service. We rang up and couldn't get through for 20 minutes then were told it would take 15 minutes. Half an hour later we were still none of the wiser as to where it was. If you've just eaten order it. If for dinner or tea tomorrow night and you might actually get it on time. I think the award for the crapest Chinese and service would defiantly go to them. So thank you for making me realise how awful it really is.

Loooking forward to a meal.Obvious that they forgot my ordour,no apology or acknowledgement that this had happened,therefore left without meals that were ordereded in advance.No great customer service experience here.May be okay 99 per cent of ttime but for me its just rubbish service
