Best Chinese. But takes the piss with the timing. 2 hours 20 for collection when they say 1.15. Sat out side for over an hour.

Visiting Harrogate and found Wings on Google. Easy telephone ordering, precise estimate of when order would be ready. Collected ourselves. Paid contact less. Very polite service. Good sized portions, cooked to perfection, Good and hot. Will visit again! Recommended! Thanks!

Lies from the point of ordering! Told 45 mins to wait for delivery and after numerous follow up phone calls and bring blagged the food finally turned up 2 hours later! Unacceptable, won’t be ordering again! Food average at best when it arrived!

After coming to you almost once/twice every 2 weeks I’ve never been disappointed with your food. Tonight I was, I ordered our normal meal drove to collect. When I got home I separated it out, sat down to eat it had a few mouthfuls and it was extremely salty. I literally could not put another bite into my mouth I felt an overwhelming urge to be sick. My partner told me to call them so I did, they said they could cook it again or they could only offer me a £3 refund. The amount of money I’ve spent there I think this was ridiculous! I drove down, explained everything again and even took the food with me. They weren’t having any of it and just kept saying they’d cook it again. I didn’t want it I feel so poorly. I left the food on the counter and walked out with no food and without refund. I think this will be the last time I go back there.

Great food and service, they are very careful and considerate of food allergies.

where do i start i wodent evan give it a star the duck there was more skin and fat on it than the duck meat itself as you can see in the picture the pancakes were very soggy and wet they achily where stuck together the pork was dry and very bad all together the food was awful i have been ill since eating it stomach pain feeling sick very hot the food was bad i did ant mind if it was 10 but 25quid for the food to get offered a 5pound back is stupid no wonder there store has a 3star hygiene reading

Ordered a takeaway tonight and they forgot part of the order. Called to complain only to be told they took the order down incorrectly. Also found out no free prawn crackers when you pay by card. Last couple of deliveries were an hour late so will not be using them again. Prices up service level down!

I wouldn’t normally give this type of review but bearing in mind I was sick for 3 hours straight there’s clearly something wrong way too salty nice tasting but 3 hours later not even in my stomach anymore worst £9 spent

Hey maan, I am a devoted christian so I worship god every day, until today which I now worship this new chinese takeaway. Astounding, amazing and out of this world are the first words that come to my mind. Without the doubt, the best chinese we have visited (and there has been many of them!!) We went with our big order this time around as we were starving like a homeless dog. Salt and pepper chicken were out first test, we were extremely pleased with this, it was crispy and moistacular. With every bite, I felt like the same homeless dog as before but now been taken in by the Queen. Next were the salt and pepper chips, these were the best we’ve ever had and it was like we had just won the onion lottery. After eating these chips I had a debate with myself about moving to China so I could eat these 3 meals a day for the rest of my days. We also had prawn toast, which was unique and prawntacular as it came already chopped up into finger bite servings which were perfect for the size of my mouth. It was a pleasure to eat these as they were so ideal to eat! Finally, we had noodles which were softer than a fat mans belly, they were in a huge portion and was plenty for the both of us to go at. To say we were in the all high and mighty Harrogate we were flabbergasted as the price was the same as our ends, it was the best £17 ever spent and we also got a free sweet and sour sauce but unfortunately no prawn crackers. If I had £17 left to spend and my options were to either pay for a heart transplant that I needed to survive or have this chinese as my last meal then I know exactly what I would pick!! Overall, we highly recommend this chinese over any other so far and I would swap my first born for another one of these. Over and out geezers!

Always been my favourite Chinese in Harrogate but recently noticed a large increase in cost and not just a few pounds per meal. Shame because it’s made us order far fewer takeaways from here

Ok so I’ve used wings for years, the food is excellent I could never take that away from them, but as of today I feel like they have let them selves down by bumping up the prices to a ridiculous amount more than before!!! I always order the same thing that usually comes delivered to my door for £13.50 Now the price has shot up to £20.20 Now that is daylight robbery, you should be wearing masks, and not the ones covering your mouths!

Tasteless food and poor service

Terrible salt and pepper platter! Had to bin it and reorder form somewhere else. Ribs and wings just a joke and clearly been lying around for ages and reheated. Very disappointing.

I ordered King prawns and mushrooms, fried rice, crispy veg spring rolls. My meal was delivered with a dipping sauce and prawn crackers. As always it didn’t disappoint. Lovely chunky veg and great sauce. Best Chinese takeaway by far and still my no 1 favourite.

Really great service and even better food. Pre-ordered on their website, got a text to acknowledge the order, a text to update us on when the meal was being prepared and another text to confirm it was on it's way - all human texts, not automated messages - such a nice personal service. The food was amazing, we ordered for four people and every dish was delicious. Being new to the area, safe to say we have found our go-to Chinese takeaway

Late delivery ! Stuff absolutely unhelpful Definitely not going to try again

Ordered online and confirmed by phone at 6pm. Told would take 45mins to an hour. Got a text few mins later saying would now take 1.5 hours. I rang at 2hrs and 14 mins at 8.14pm and was told would be another 20 mins and that customers ordering now had a 4 hour wait. I said if it didn't arrive as promised then to cancel and I'd buy elsewhere. I heard nothing more so ordered elsewhere. It took 15 mins. Expecting customers to wait nearly 3 hours for a delivery from a takeaway which is 5 mins from where I live is ridiculous. I see other reviews about delays. What a pity they can't tell people before ordering so they can go elsewhere. How do they get away with it? Shocking.

New year's Eve stacked out with orders, running late but still polite and helpful - and the food was fantastic.

Food is excellent, fresh. The only place we buy Chinese takeaway from- it's here or nowhere.

We ordered a takeaway from here, it took 2 hours to come. When I called for an update I was told they were busy with collections. I was offered the delivery charge back of £1.50 on a £45 order, disgraceful!!! The food was stone cold, didn’t taste good when it turned up and was over priced. Never again! If you want a fabulous Chinese, order from The Orchid.

Ordered take away tonight and was informed that it would be 2-2.5 hours until it could be delivered, whilst this was ridiculous we accepted the timings, however, it took over 3 hours for our food to arrive which is completely unacceptable. Orders should not be taken if they cannot be delivered in the timeframe communicated. The food when we finally did receive it was thankfully good, especially the crispy duck.

Ordered a meal at 7.45 for a 19th birthday party. Got told delivery would be ASAP, which was fine. Called them 90 mins later. An hour and a half... Was told it would be another 30 mins. So we’re on 2 hours. Rang again when it didn’t turn up after 2 hours and was told it would be another 40 mins so cancelled. Now cooking for ourselves. What business thinks that over 2.5 hours for a meal is acceptable without ringing to advise?One that’s not customer focussed presumably. I’m sure the food is lovely, just make sure you get a definitive time

Best Chinese in Harrogate/Leeds!

Ordered via the website. The online menu has loads of choice and ordering was very easy. Food was ready for collection ontime and measures were in place to ensure that you're covid-safe. The dishes were really flavoursome and tasty. Great portion sizes and good value. Will definitely return.

This is my local and it’s brilliant . The food is always of high quality and the staff are knowledgable about gluten free options , of which there are many, my daughter has never had a reaction from the food here , and she has coeliacs disease so has to be very careful . Highly recommend . I recommend wings to anyone .

Our local Leeds Road takeaway. Open kitchen with friendly chefs add a bonus when you collect your order. Usual menu and generally all dishes are good.

Chicken chow mein was only noodles, beansprouts and flavourless chicken. Very bland. Japanese shrimp udon was very dry. Salt and pepper platter did not have huge amounts of anything but chips and wasn't a strong flavour. Seaweed was limp and not crispy. The mixed starter wasn't bad apart from this. Considering the quality of the food I don't feel it was good value for money and probably wouldn't return.

I purchased last night the 4/2/2020 1 x spicy chips 1x shredded beef 1x special egg foo yung the worst that I have ever had for a long time it was £18.00 delivered gave £20.00 to the driver always tip but will never go again should of gone in tonight for a refund but will leave it .

After being taken over this has gone from a grotty Lemon Tree to a much improved Chinese takeaway. Used a couple of times. Fair value things like cripsy chicken wing portions small though.

This Chinese takeaway never fails to disappoint My favourite dish is the house special fried rice ( no broccoli ) Perfect every time and packed full of meat and prawns not just on top but mixed throughout the rice and the sauce which is on it is lovely I have to force myself to finish it every time as it is so nice Staff always friendly and as I collect as it’s just round the corner from my daughters it’s always ready when they quote the time and piping hot Would highly recommend

Dog rotten! Rice all clagged together like it’s been sat for weeks. Disgusting

2 months ago, ordered food, only half ow which was delivered, was told to keep what we had and wait for the remainder!Last month, ordered food wrong food delivered!!Last week, ordered food, told it would be 50 minutes (the standard response) after almost 2 hours I called to be told I should have been told it would take 1hr 20mins, I pointed out we had been waiting 2hrs.... response, well there's only 4 or 5 orders in front of ours!!!Cancelled, whilst the food is generally good its no use if you don't get what you ordered or don't get it at all.All I can say is avoid.

Have just had chicken curry & chips - portions are way too big for one it would have served 2 easily. Had banana fritters this time not good - bananas were a bit old (a lot of black bruises) & also we’re not cooked sufficiently and were a bit hard with not a lot of golden syrup.

Needed the food to be gluten free. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Recommended

Not bad. Not great, but generally decent. However.. .why are the free prawn crackers always so stale!? It's a nice gesture, but it falls flat given how old the crackers are. Every single time, we pick through the bag to find the few edible ones and bin the rest. It's sloppy on their part. Shows they don't really care about the quality of their food.

We have used Wing’s since we moved to Harrogate in 2013, the quality of the food has been consistently excellent and the service they provide is bespoke-always tailor to our needs no matter how difficult sometimes it seems. It has been many tremendous years with Wing’s and can’t praise them enough. Thank you all at Wing’s and certainly many more years to come!

This was one of the worst Chinese Take Away's we have ever had. It was New Year's Eve so maybe that could account for it if I'm being generous. Quite pricey compared to some. My sons quarter duck came with only 4 pancakes which is mean. My husbands foo yung was over cooked and inedible. The ribs were the most tasteless and fatty we had ever experienced. Most of the dishes were cold. The prawn crackers were like cardboard. Just really bad. We left most of it and wont be going again, or taking notice of rave reviews!!

Truly the best Chinese for vegans 😍😍, there are far better choices for the vegan available in here than in the supermarket or any other places. Accompanied by delicious taste and delightful service.

Wing's is the takeaway to go for after an exhausted working day, couldn't be bothered to cook. The food quality here is just simply amazing, the ingredients are just so freshly prepared and beautifully combined, namely the sweet and sour and the mushroom dishes. The time taken from ordering to delivery is always on time if not quicker, the delivery guy is always polite and smiley and really cheers you up after a long day-a big thumb up from us (Mr Moley)

Really dreadful. Noodles not all cooked, chicken was flavourless and puffed up (chicken chow mien), the sweet and sour sauce tasted weird and the chicken balls were really doughy. Prawn crackers were OK. Poor, poor quality, will never go back.

Good Chinese food and they will deliver

I placed my order to be delivered still waiting after 1hr 20mins so I phoned up to be told they haven’t even started cooking it so I said I would collect it 2hrs later!!!. The food was horrible no taste and very dry shall not be ordering from here ever again worst Chinese takeaway I’ve been too.

Ordered a takeaway online at 7:30pm, received an email confirming order. Had previously rang the takeaway to check the waiting time for delivery which was 1 hour and 30 minutes, which was perfectly fine so I proceeded with the delivery process. At 10 past 9 I received a phone call confirming my takeaway would be arriving in the next "couple of minutes". I waited a following 30 minutes, assuming that something was clearly wrong. I rang questioning where the takeaway was, to be told that it had be sat waiting 15 minutes for collection?? The woman on the phone turned around and said the website doesn't do delivery orders but yet proceeded to read out my address and post code??? HOW would you get my order and address yet apparently the website doesn't even do deliveries? The problem could have been resolved by herself simply making a fresh order and sending it out for delivery, but the whole thing was made worse by the woman's attitude, lack of even simple phone call manors and customer service. I don't think putting the phone down on me solves the problem does it wings? Overall opinion, diabolical customer service, terrible and disgusting phone skills......AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Don’t know how or why this takeaway is so busy as the food is nothing but poor and lacking flavour. We had three different dishes, and each one was thoroughly underwhelming and very disappointing.

visiting Harrogate we decided to have a night in the hotel room with a takeaway. i used trip advisor to locate the better reviewed takeaways. this one seemed to be doing ok. the people were lovelly and gave us extra cartons so we cud share the food out however it was poor from there after.... when our order arrived the gentleman said there was a mistake with the order so wud be back and handed us the bags of food. once in our room we realised the rice was missing. eventually it came however food now cold with no means of reheating. then....burnt prawn crackers and burnt seaweed. i was gutted to say the least. how can a chef let burnt prawn crackers and seaweed leave the kitchen... some of the prawn crackers were even charred brown! the seaweed was less obvious but after inspection of the burnt taste you could see it was black from charring. then the curry sauce... it was a bit bland to say the least.... even though cold however the chips and chow mein were ok and the piping hot rice was the best bit.. it was hot and ricey. i advise 2 things... never hand over food if you know something is missing and always taste and check your quality before release. very dissapointing.

Having two Chinese Takeaway's net to each other on Leeds Road you might e peck they would go all out to compete however this Takeaway is at best average

Gran selección de comida y una buena relación calidad-precio. Y a diferencia de muchos sitios de comida para llevar china había una buena selección de comida vegetariana. Sopa caliente y amarga excelente. Sal y pimienta delicioso alitas de pollo. Chow mein y ternera verduras en chili y ajo excepcional. Y gracias por el pan de gambas incluido gratis.

Nunca me había pedido comida para llevar en línea antes, lejos, uno menos. Los signos iniciales eran buenas, me dieron un e-mail informando el pedido en 18. 21 y un 18. 22 de la cocina (aparentemente) diciendo que mi pedido había sido aceptado y estaría lista en breve. A las 19. 20 llamé para ver donde estaba mi pedido y me dijeron que la mía era la siguiente entrega (bien hay una coincidencia! ) y sería de 10 a 15 minutos. Somos un máximo de 10 minutos. A las 19. 45 cuando todavía no había señal, llamaron de nuevo para cancelar sólo me dijeron que el conductor había dejado ya. Tenía la persona al final de la línea se disculpó de ninguna manera por el retraso me habría quedado bien. Sin embargo, como no la más mínima se disculparon que repetía que quería cancelar. 'Pero está en camino. 'Que bien es una pena pero prefiero mi negocio a otro lado. Pero (como por el título de este comentario) por qué llevaría a esperar que mi pedido sería entregado en breve cuando este obviamente no iba a pasar. Tenían mi número de teléfono y tenía que decir eran peldaño muy concurrido y allí sería un retraso probablemente han aceptado que. Tienen un apartado en su página web el servicio de atención al cliente'. Tienen que cambiar eso, inmediatamente.

Después de haber probado la mayoría de las alas para llevar alrededor, ha sido el más consitent en calidad y servicio! El hecho de que tienen una cocina abierta y no hay escondido, calefacción de comida es sin duda un ganador para mí. Recomiendo

Very disappointed. The Lotus was closed so decided to try Wings. My wife had duck which was supposed to be Cantonese but was just soy sauce. I had house Chowmein. It was tasteless and watery. I am surprised by so many if the good reviews received by this takeaway. We shan't be coming again.

Ordered at 7:00pm and was promised it would be here in an hour ... I am typing this at 9:30 after 3 calls to them and they promised it was on its way . . the fridge is now empty, dog bowl eaten and still no sign of our order - shabby! Only reason I have marked the food down is that I am starving!

Unfortunately I thought it was quite average. Chicken in cashew was good and tasty, but crispy chicken in OK didn't have much flavour and wasn't very crispy.

I shouldn't think for a second the lovely folk at Wings have time to check out the great reviews they receive . Even when super busy they always have time for a smile, can they really remember everyone's name ?It's a given that Harrogate town is a great destination go to with all the 'swanky' eateries on offer day and night . However, after a hard days shopping and sightseeing , sometimes all you want to do is order a takeaway, open a chilled bottle and watch TV with your slippers on. Wings do a very good special which they are happy to alter for you within reason !We see the fresh ingredients arrive outside the Leeds road shop daily which is always a good sign for any food outlet . Our own favourites are the crisy duck , pancakes etc , wings special fried rice with big prawns and sesame chicken . Well they are this week !!

Wing's is the only Chinese takeaway in Harrogate that operates in an open kitchen environment, where you get to see and enjoy everything being freshly made and cooked right from the beginning. The quality of food is a Grade A and the highest out of a dozen of others, from secret ingredients to mouthwatering dishes. Satay and Spicy hot chilli garlic are our essentials. We've tried a dozen of Chinese in Harrogate and Wing's is our dream come true place. Thank you so much guys at Wing's and we feel so blessed to have them just around the corner.

Wing's takeaway is our must go weekend treat, food is of the highest quality and offered at a really good bargain, we are overwhelmed by the vast selection of dishes, staffs are always taking care of us, superb service and amazing food!!

Wings takeaway is the best Chinese takeaway in Harrogate. The food is consistently excellent, having tried a large selection of the new menu. (Guilty). The staff are always very friendly and I have never once waited longer than ten minutes to collect my food. The food is always hot and fresh, and the prices are cheap.Couldn't recommend Wings high enough, and I won't even think about looking elsewhere. Keep it up guys!!

I am fortunate to live close to the Leeds Road shops, and there are 2 take always, but this one is by far the best of the two.It is more expensive than the other one but it's also worth it, the portions are big and everything expect the ribs are fantastic, especially the black bean sauce which is one of the best I've ever had.The only let down are ribs which tend to be lacking in meat and tough.There are dozens of Chinese take-always in Harrogate and I have no hesitation in recommending Wings.
