My daughter has a holiday home on maustin park. I came down for my first look at the holiday home and decided to have a meal in the stables. The bar and restuarant was lovely, the staff were so friendly towards me and the food its self was amazing. I would recommend the stables to everyone. Thankyou for the great night.

Absolutely delicious afternoon tea in The Stables bar and restaurant at Maustin Park. Vintage crockery and cake stands finished the tables off nicely. Had an assortment of sandwiches, cakes and scone...pork pie and quiche. !! Great value and all gone !! Their meals and drinks menu is also great value and definitely worth at least one visit....but once tried you will be back 😁

A visit to a cafe or restaurant is always a gamble with an autistic child but the staff were so kind and helpful that we all had a very enjoyable meal. The food was excellent, just well made family friendly and sensibly priced.

Needed some takeaway sandwiches and had read that Thug were the best, plus they do gluten free options. We got a gluten free curried chicken and a 'normal' KFCaesar sandwich. Both were delicious and crammed full of filling. The gluten free bread was also very good.

It was everything I had hoped for. Beautiful, top quality food in a relaxed but resolutely professional setting. The chefs, Aled and Richard, are incredibly skilled and chatted easily to the table of ten while plating our 14 'snacks' - I was pretty full by round 10 but managed to squeeze in the fabulous final four sweet dishes. The team set an ideal pace, moving us along through the varied menu without feeling rushed. Paul, the sommelier, was a wonderful host. Greeting us with champagne on arrival and curating a varied and interesting selection of wine pairings with charming introductions for each one. He also doubled up as an excellent cocktail maker as the evening progressed. Book it now you won't regret it!

Has been closed for a few months now and I recently read on their FB page that they are not reopening. A pity as it was a decent local place with very good food.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at “The Cud Life” campsite in the stunning Yorkshire countryside, this campsite offers the perfect blend of tranquility, natural beauty, and good facilities. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The site itself is well maintained and most important quiet, with spacious pitches. Whether you’re pitching a tent, parking a campervan, or staying in one of their cozy cottages, you’ll find everything you need for a comfortable stay. The shower blocks are clean with plenty of hot water. But what truly sets *The Cud Life* apart is the people. A special shout-out to Mark, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. His friendliness and genuine enthusiasm were infectious! He was always on hand to offer helpful tips about the local area and recommended some good sights to visit. Mark’s kindness and dedication truly made this a memorable stay. If you’re looking for a campsite that combines natural beauty, good facilities, and a warm, welcoming vibe, “The Cud Life” is the place to be. And if you’re lucky enough to meet Mark, you’ll understand why this place feels so special. We will return one day! Highly recommended!

Last weekend, we were recommended to try Vanilli’s Artisan 🍨at Harrogate– and it was incredible! We tried the Oreo & Vanilla and the Salted Caramel & Belgian Chocolate – which really amazed me because the combination of rich Belgian chocolate and sweet-salty caramel was magic. They also have dairy-free options, soya, coconut, sorbet.🍧 Vanilli’s is tucked away in a quiet corner, it’s a hidden gem you’ll want to find. Get there early though , especially on the European Artisanal Gelato Day on 24 March– flavours sell out fast! By fishenjoylife
