The Cambridge Cafe in Harrogate

Really great food. I’m very disappointed that I’m not able to tip my courier after delivery. This was my first time using this app. Tipping depends on the job a person does. Not being allowed to increase tip is a disservice to the hard working people you employ. Please fix this. If other apps can do this so can just eat. Do better for your employees.

Absolutely amazing food, the people are so kind. When I took a bite out of the food it felt like I was ascending, try the Chinese food its life changing. Genuine taste, fresh and goes so well.

Cold and poor quality food. Ordered Salt & chilli chicken / chips & Spring rolls and none of it was nice.

We were only in the mood for a light snack on a rainy afternoon when we came across this quaint cafe. But when noticing the enticing Chinese menu, we just had to go for it! As you can see, we were blown away by the portion sizes! (My husband had crispy noodle beef chow mein, and I had Singapore Udon noodles) The quality is very impressive and rich in flavour, yet not too heavy or greasy. The price is incredibly reasonable for what you get. The staff are also friendly and attentive. We will definitely be coming back here next time we visit Harrogate!

Food was late, stone cold and not the tastiest we've had from this restaurant. Not sure we'd order again unfortunately.

Quality of meat and sauces is great, much better than their competitors who are watering down theirs. Portion sizes are small and pricey, but worth the money.

I enjoy calling in here, the food menu is mixed with Chinese and traditional English dishes. The family run team work very hard and also do takeout later on.

Sadly disappointed with my meal, which was not to the usual high standard of the Cambridge Cafe. The delivery was on time and the driver was very pleasant, so I was disappointed that he knew nothing about the history of tip that I had voluntarily added when ordering - in future I will hand the tip to the driver myself. First time ordering. Hardly any pork in sweet and sour mainly onions and container not even half full of food, not great for £9.80. Rice over cooked and not seasoned. Tried calling restaurant but no answer. Very disappointed as food in cafe is excellent. Expensive mistake.

Just want to say a huge huge thank you to the lovely gentleman that answered the phone on Monday 2nd October for Grace. He helped us so much to find a vegan option and delivered our food too and labelled everything so nicely. Amazing service and for our first time here we'll definitely be coming back but in person this time! Thanks so much- food amazing!! Very impressed! Can't believe we've not been here before!

I would recommend anyone to visit this cafe/Chinese in Harrogate.The location is on the opposite side of road where McDonald's is located. I ordered the big breakfast and glad I did as it was superb and really tasty and the chef cooked it to perfection. I could tell that all parts of the big breakfast from the sausage and bacon to the large beefburger and chips too were quality products. There are also smaller breakfasts on the menu if you prefer. There are also many Chinese meals you can choose too. I was glad that I found this place because the service was exceptional which was a nice surprise and the food I ordered was very clean and hot,so if you are looking for quality food at a reasonable price with great customer service you won't go wrong by visiting this place even if it's just for a cup of tea,you are still made welcome. Thank you to the staff and owner for making my visit to your cafe/Chinese very enjoyable and a place to remember. Good food, not overly chinese feel about, like a proper cafe and lunch place should be.

The soup was nice, but noodles very greasy and clumped together, and main course was very small portion and not nice at all. Crispy pork was weird texture and tasted strange.

Unfortunately something had leaked! Prawn crackers wet through. Chips wet and inedible. Omelette escaped. But overall very disappointed. Possibly driver's fault. Sorry.

Surpassed expectation and then some. Thanks for awesome (and patient) phone service, prompt and pleasant delivery and oh so delicious 5* food. Beyond any doubt my fav Harrogate Chinese. YUM!!!

I am an American traveling through and was really struggling to find good Asian food in the area. I was walking by and stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. The service was extremely personable with instant service and great personability. The food was fresh and fast to get to me. In terms of quality, I'm sad I didn't find this place sooner because it itched a scratch I had been missing since being here. This is a family owned restaurant where the entire family was eating when I came in, which if you know anything about food is a HUGE plus. Overall delicious food, I might be back again in the same night!

Very very disappointed. Absolutely no comparison to the house special fu yung I received on 17th may!This time main filling seemed to be cubes of tinned ham. Poor! Change of chef? Would have been a 1 but I enjoyed the salt and chilli chips.

Really beautiful Chinese food, very colourful veggies and great cookery of the meat and the dish overall. Far better than the other takeaways around Harrogate for this cuisine.

Food was nice and hot unlike other Harrogate takeaways, especially McDonalds' always cold.

Lovely food,great prices.I had the king prawn stir fry with salt and chilli chips which were both really good.The cafe does both english food and chinese with that ability to have either a full english breakfast or a chinese pork curry.I also had some prawn crackers but forgot to take a picture.

Ordering Chinese on a Tuesday is just not worth it, would usually order from somewhere else. Food was tasteless, rice was undercooked and stodgy, curry sauce very weird, undercooked chips- still hard in the middle, soggy tofu…

Great Chinese / cafe. Really friendly staff. Reasonably priced. It's superb that you can choose from either the Chinese or traditional English cafe menu. Makes it a great choice for when you're dining with people who have a mix of tastes. Cambridge cafe is a really unique local treasure.

Very greasy and creamy fish starter with sweetcorn had curdled also threw most of the prawn noodles away as far too much. Just tasted nasty sadly.

Nice meal with friends. We asked for meals that had previously been on the menu and we got them, which was nice. Pleasant staff.

The worst take away we have ever had. Undercooked rice. Over cooked noodles and spring rolls with no filling!!!!!

For a pretty expensive takeaway in the area this was cold, fatty and very little taste. Disappointed, won’t be ordering from here again.
