Having been contacted by the owner following my previous review, which I was pleasantly surprised by, here is an update. It is most refreshing to see that the owner actually cares about all the people who visit and furthermore to invite my wife and I to return. We placed our order and whilst waiting for our drinks a lovely lady asked if we would like some water, it was quite a warm day, so we accepted this thoughtful gesture. The staff today were particularly attentive, clearing tables promptly and when the ‘rush’ had abated made themselves busy tidying shelves etc… two staff members asked us if everything was alright with our food and drinks and of course it was. What a difference from our last visit and we received an apology and were told our breakfast was complementary. Much better service, delighted that higher management/ ownership were bothered to get in touch and to implement changes. Thank you Harris for taking the time and effort to restore our confidence in Cold Bath Road Deli. We will be back again 🙏

Food very good but portion size for the price is miniscule.

A great place for lunch - oir food was delicious and there was a nice courtyard at the back where we could sit with our dog. Will definitely go back next time we're in Harrogate.

Very disappointed with the lunch. Ordered scrambled eggs and avocado on toast. Was cheap bread, and such a small portion for £8. I have tried to add a photo to this review but it is not allowing me. Sad to say very overpriced for the quality of the food.

Visited today for lunch and coffee. Sat outside in the gorgeous courtyard garden. The staff instantly appeared with cushions and tablecloth; nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel special! Food was delicious and excellent value in comparison to other local venues. Excellent coffee and home-baked cakes too. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful find during a recent visit to Harrogate. All food thoroughly enjoyed by us (2 adults and 2 kids). Steak sandwich, Roasted veg Buddha bowl, huge sausage roll and soup of the day all very tasty and good portions. Felt very welcomed and honest.

What a delight. My friend and I went for lunch today . We had a delicious bowl of chowder with lots of fresh ciabatta & butter. The staff were outstanding. Everyone seemed so happy and nothing too much trouble . Thankyou we will certainly be back.

I have been to this café several times has been closed for refurbishment recently. The staff are nice and you are pretty limited. If you’re going for lunch they have a few sandwiches but not taste. I do struggle to choose one to do bacon sandwiches and sausage sandwiches and things like that as well, it’s a nice café when the Sun is shining can sit outside. It’s popular with local dog walkers and people meeting for a catch up. They would be better if they offered several soups and salads and jacket potatoes and a range of salad but generally the staff are very helpful . Again, although it says we could offer a better range of sandwiches and soups and maybe some salad or quiche that’s very much the local market. Could you do good sausage and bacon sandwich s

Kept driving past here and thought I’d try it. I went for lunch with my family. The food was average and service slow. But a cool little place and nice decor.

Very friendly cake and coffee really nice . Food looks excellent.

I wish they wouldn't put the sweet treats in the same fridges as the savoury. A nice vanilla slice smells and tastes like cheese and onion. Separate fridges please, it's not difficult.

Went for breakfast. Menu very limited for breakfast (bacon roll, jam on toast then cakes) “crispy bacon” roll was a disappointment, wasn’t crispy but very dry like it had been sat on a hot plate forever, bread though was lovely. Don’t cater (bread / savoury wise) for gluten free which was a shame as my friend was then extremely limited on choice. Coffee was lovely and service good. Sat outside and unfortunately the area we sat in stank of urine (presumably dog?) could do with a good bleaching. I’d maybe try the place again for lunch or take away coffee but definitely not again for breakfast as there’s far superior establishments nearby. Sorry but there is so much potential that has been missed here as the location and outside space (if the urine smell was resolved) is lovely.

A great characterful and cosy place. There's always a good selection of food and drinks, including vegetarian options. The food is generally wholesome, hearty and delicious. The menus sometimes change a little and they often have special themed evening events. It's worth checking their website. We went for lunch and were thoroughly impressed by the service, we really felt valued and welcome.

Consistently delicious food and great portion sizes here, we sat outside with a lovely view in the nice warm weather, all the staff were friendly and accommodating 👍🏻

Very poor service, had to wait 45 min for take away food. I was just disappointed that I was not advised on the wait time before my order, which I did provide some constructive feed back.

The food here is amazing - lots of nice salad options and very kind friendly.

First visit here on a busy Saturday afternoon. Decided to go for flat white coffees and cake. The coffee was ok, nothing outstanding and think they need to look at the coffee they use for a more rounded flavour. Small cups came without saucers. The banana cake and carrot cake were nothing special and quite sweet. The carrot cake came in a box like container with not a lot of spice or nuts. Difficult to get out also, we had to use teaspoons as no dessert forks provided! Noticed a bottle of wine is shockingly priced at £28, who pays that in a little cafe with uncomfortable seating?

Delicious homemade light lunches . Chilled atmosphere . We had twice baked sweet potato with goats cheese and salad. We are only here for 1 day so sorry to miss the Otto Lenghi night. Surprising wine selection for a small cafe.

Great lunch spot! Good sandwiches, savoury pastries (e.g. feta and spinach pastry), salads and baked goods. The mulled wine is also some of the best I have had in a while. The staff are very friendly too.

A very relaxed deli with delightful ambience, great service and the best bacon sandwich I have ever had. It’s all freshly cooked so be prepared to wait and they have a great range of drinks.

Without a doubt the best bacon sandwiches in Harrogate - served in warm ciabatta bread. I also added two equally delicious pieces of their vegan flapjack! I live locally and this was my first visit to the Cold Bath Deli….. but definitely not my last! Please try it, you will not be disappointed!

We came here as a family of 6 for lunch. One member of our party is vegetarian. On the menu, it stated vegetarian/vegan made to order. We asked what was available and were told “cheese or any marked on the menu with a ‘V’” We placed our order. We had two Croque Madam, one Croque Monsieur, one BLT, one bacon sandwich and one brownie. We ordered some drinks. The food took ages to arrive. When it eventually did arrive, we were served the bacon sandwich, the Croque monsieur and the two Croque madam. The bacon sandwich was just a sandwich. Nothing at all served with it. It cost £6.50. The Croque madam was served with lettuce and also cost £6.50. We had no cutlery and the waitress said she would try to find us some but they were busy. We waited for the outstanding meal, and we waited, and we waited. She brought the cutlery. We said we were still waiting the BLT and she made the excuse they were busy. Our hot sandwiches were going cold so we decided to start the meals that were there. The Croque monsieur wasn’t the same as was on the menu. When we queried it, it wasn’t the Croque Monsieur, it was the BLT. The waitress had got the order mixed up. Eventually, all our food was served after an extremely long time, with mix ups and not all served together. If there was a problem with the cafe being busy, the fault was with the staff ratio. Overpriced, poor service.

Just spent the last few days in Harrogate and both nights at the cold Bath deli, absolutely superb service, cannot rate it enough. The service was impeccable, the staff could not do enough for us, excellent tapas, spoilt for choice. We will definitely be back and will recommend to friends xxthank you

Visited as part of a Walking Food Tour. Had some lovely little cakes and treats. Nice place and friendly staff.

Super little local cafe with a rustic feel and amazing food and cakes. Undercover and heated outdoor seating area too and dogs welcome outside and inside. Very clean and welcoming g and on this occasion I just had soup. The best I've ever had might I add.

Great Sunday brunch and the afternoon teas look amazing great value

We popped up to the Deli for a quick bite to eat and to sample the enticing Irish themed cocktails on offer - well it was St Patricks day after all! Our Chicken Katsu roll was delicious , lovely subtle flavours and the right amount of heat. The Black Velvet cocktail hit the spot! The star of the show ….. our waiter Charlie! If he wanted he could have a very long career in the hospitality industry. Well worth a busy

Myself and my boyfriend visited the deli with our daughter (5months old). We were helped in with our pram, given a rundown of the menu and had amazing friendly service throughout. Food was absolutely gorgeous. Sara is an asset to the deli. She was super friendly and made us feel really welcome. Jake was great in serving us too! Thanks for a great time…. Can’t wait to visit again!

The food and staff are amazing, always good quality and all freshly cooked, iv just had the sausage and mash with red wine gravy which was lovely especially on a cold day. The bacon sandwiches are highly recommended to, not your usual bacon sandwich!!

What a fabulous little deli, my partner and I visited her for some lunch whilst in Harrogate over the festive period and we were so pleased we did. The staff were so inviting and the service was great. The food was amazing and definitely fits...

Used to be so good, but now??? Food now very average at best. The latest visit food eventually served after 25 mins ( for sandwiches!! ), also did not see one table cleaned properly even though five staff on. Sad to say, has gone downhill...

To counter some of the recent negative reviews, I enjoyed lunch here recently with a client. Prompt service, good value, food was great, friendly staff. Place packed with plenty of people who seemed to be having a good experience as well. I'd certainly visit again.

We had quite a nice lunch outside. Service was good and attentive. An interesting food offering, but we were a little disappointed. The chicken katsu roll was rather bland and hard work. A glass of chardonnay was not good. But we'll probably go again.

Before the recent change of management, the prices were very justified, but I've had some poor quality buys from here recently, which I'd never had in my past years of custom.

Beautiful place, quite tucked away from main drag, with great choice of food and a lovely outdoor seating area. Prices are a bit on the expensive side, which is a shame because a real five-star experience implies the right balance between what you pay and what you get. Luckily, just few steps down the road, there's a couple of Italian cuisine places that restore the balance between taste, atmosphere and prices.

Lunch for two. Soup is excellent, to follow nice but filling empanada and katsu chicken pastry with amazing salads (definite 5 stars). No room for desserts but we had them and very enjoyable. Please keep supplying Cawston’s Ginger with Apple as it’s the best! Oh dear! What about the staff? - they’re lovely too!!!

I've been here many times and it's always an absolute joy. Wherever you look, an intelligent decision has been made from the precision of the warm, witty design to the lime in the devilled egg, it's all very inspiring. The food is fabulous, the staff are friendly and the music is romantic in all the right ways. You leave with a full belly, a bag full of goodies and a grin. What's not to like?

I've just enjoyed the best crispy bacon sandwich I've ever tasted in Harrogate's Cold Bath Deli and Wine Bar. There was so much choice in this spotlessly clean established. But all I wanted was a bacon sandwich before setting off for home after our Harrogate mini-stay. It was so good I had to tell them. Now I'm telling you 😊. Go try it. You won't be disappointed.

We popped in here for a light snack at lunchtime. My husband ordered probably the best sausage roll he has ever tasted.I had a roll, with salad.Initially we felt that the prices were rather high.The owner of the deli read my initial review and asked me to contact them personally.I did this. Told them exactly what we had to eat and drink.It turned out we had been overcharged in error. This was a genuine mistake.Not many businesses would do this!The end result is that they transferred the balance into my account.

Fabulous find, slightly out of the hustle and bustle of the centre of town. Enjoy a walk through Valley Gardens, leave by Valley drive gate and walk upto Cold Bath Road, turning left, the Deli is a few shops up on the left. Food and coffee fantastic, great attention to detail, attentive staff. Seriously recommend, rather than pay silly money for Betties!

So friendly and helpful. They went the extra mile today and gave me something from their own kitchen when I mentioned I had forgotten it in another shop. Thank you. plus the deli is really nicely designed and a pleasure to shop at even in these altered times .

My wife and I were passing the deli today and decided to grab a bite to eat. There were a few options on the board and I plumped for the 6 hour brisket and slaw, and I’m so glad I did. I thought it was going to be good but it was actually exceptional! Rammed with tender meat, crunchy slaw and packed full of flavour with a little kick of chilli - sandwich perfection!

Purchased 25g of dried yeast at a cost of 2 GBP. Cost at ASDA 56 pence...I won’t be shopping at Cold Bath Road Deli again....
