The best restaurants in Stratford-on-Avon West Midlands

Went in for lunch. Asked a waitress do we order at bar or sit at table and was told to go in and order at the bar. Queued for ages and finally got to the bar only to be told if we didn't have a table number we couldn't order food. Explained we were told to come in and order and barman just repeated himself. There was a huge queue behind us so we left. There seemed to be only one waitress working. Won't be returning.

En nuestro último viaje, tanto mi esposa y yo pensamos que la comida no era tan buena como solía ser, sin embargo, dejamos esto a uno y visitamos de nuevo el fin de semana pasado. Lamentablemente, los niveles generales de alimentos parecen haber disminuido y han pasado de ser excelentes a ser difíciles de clasificar como promedio. El pescado estaba esponjoso y las patatas fritas mal cocidas.

Está situado en el Mercure Stratford Hotel. El restaurante está cerrado. La zona del bar restaurante es ahora el único bar del hotel y no tiene alma. Actualmente, la zona de asientos al aire libre no está bien cuidada y está mal mantenida

Awful service from the “cooks”, I would say chefs but that’s pushing it. Ordered tapas and when the calamari came it looked like it had been kicked around the kitchen. Way to over cooked, I literally bit into it and it was like silicone, I asked for another because it was over cooked and the “cook “ said no, ( I think they had been binge watching Gordon Ramsey) I was told that they cook it the same every time, that’s funny because I must have missed your cooking “skills “ in my previous visits. Then had to fight for half an hour for them to get the bill right and at first they said I couldn’t use my blue light card. Seriously shocking

We have been here 2 times this year including Valentines Day. Always great food and good service. The food is fresh and cooked to order with excellent tastes. Nothing is too much trouble. The restaurant is always busy, the staff work hard and no real waiting, just be realistic when busy. Will always keep going back here.!!!

Not bad, MUST look after the toilets better, these are quite disgusting as only one was able to be used, i had to ask staff.

We love this pub.Staff are brilliant and make you feel very welcome. My wife and I had Sunday lunch.Plenty of choice on the menu and food was delicious. I’m a big eater but didn’t have room for a pudding 😂. Staff were attentive and very efficient. All in all a great experience we will definitely return. Thank you

Esto fue simplemente maravilloso, el té de la tarde servido con música prosecco y canto por las fabulosas Swingettes e incluso baile. Fue una tarde muy agradable. . . ¡sin duda imperdible!

Turned away despite there being plenty of space in the car park as they were “fully booked”. Pulled over and checked Eventbrite. Nope not fully booked. Won’t return. Wasn’t planning on eating there after reading reviews below hence didn’t want to pay the £10.95 versus £5 at the gate. I live near the Hut and won’t be going there either as a result.

Thought it was nice to start with, pot of tea arrived with no lid, they didn’t have one. Tea got cold very quickly. Flat bread was so thin it was practically non existent it was £10 The food took ages to come yet weren’t told they’d be a wait

El mejor pescado y papas fritas sin gluten de la zona. Siempre llamamos aquí cuando estamos en Stratford - upon - Avon. Nunca decepciona

I booked a room through Booking.com for 2 nights for my partner and myself for whilst we attend an event at Ragley Hall over the weekend of 28-30th June 2024. I booked well in advance (Nov 2023), 7 months before the event! I have just received an email to say may booking has been cancelled due to overbooking! I can only think that the Queens Head Inn management have been able to secure a booking of a greater monetary value due to the closeness in date of the event and accommodation now being hard to find. As you can imagine, I am extremely disappointed in the way I have been treaded by the Queens Head Inn and I am now left to find alternative accommodation in such short notice. I would not recommend to book a room here as obviously the management are not trustworthy or sincere.

Suculenta pechuga de pollo tierna con un complemento de verduras de temporada, hecho para un hermoso almuerzo dominical. El restaurante Lime Tree tenía un ambiente agradable y todo el personal era hospitalario, educado y muy servicial.

Vinimos al azar a tomar algo con mis amigos, sintiéndonos un poco aprensivos ya que es parte de un hotel. Pero tan pronto como llegamos al bar, el joven nos puso completamente a gusto y limpió cualquier mal presentimiento. Él era muy amable y nos sirvió con gran profesionalidad. La próxima vez, sin duda nos alojaremos aquí!
