Very good Greggs unit the food is as always so tasty 😋 and so too is their coffee ☕️.. We had ours on the go but there looks to be a super cafe here with lots of seating.
Lovely setting and pleasant staff. Priced reasonable. We chose a double afternoon tea. The sandwich were really delicious and fresh. Lots of filling. The scone was hard, but I asked to change and got a delicious warm soft scone as a replacement. Lots of tea and moist light cake. Sensible afternoon tea, not too much cake.

Absolutely disgusting....2 hours delivery wait only to be greeted by a kebab wrap that looked like it was made out of rat!!
Avoid at all costs, disgusting
My friends and I judge a town (and coffee shops) by their bakewell tarts and this one is our current 1st place winner! It's not a formal competition, but the home made cakes here are out of this world and must be sampled (lots of times!).
It's a lovely coffee bar and well worth the visit.
We had 3 x bakewell tarts (plus more bought for take out), 2 x hot chocolates and 1 x pot of tea (no milk for the tea).
I popped into Café Nero for a quick break and enjoyed a decent coffee and a nice pain au chocolat. However, I was really disappointed by the state of the toilet facilities. While the front-of-house experience was pleasant, the bathroom was simply not acceptable. There was a visible layer of dust on most surfaces, the floor and tile grout were grimy, and there was a buildup of dirt around the taps that clearly hadn’t been addressed in a while. Most concerning was the presence of hair on the toilet seat — it all pointed to a serious need for a deep and thorough clean. It’s a shame, as it really took away from an otherwise enjoyable visit. I hope the management takes note and prioritises hygiene going forward.
It was empty but my friend wanted a hash brown muffin so I ordered a quarter cheeseburger and fries.
What a mistake!
The bun was hard and the burger looked as though it had been sat upon and was thin -certainly not a quarter pounder!
The fries were served in a small bowl, certainly not worth the £3.60 extra, and the whole plate looked as though it had been thrown together from a great height. To top the lot- it was cold!!
A complete waste of money!
Lovely place and great service, however I ordered the fish cakes but asked for no tomatoes on the salad that came with it as I don't like tomatoes. I thought they'd do something else instead of tomatoes but it arrived with just the rocket salad and nothing else, not even cucumber. Not hard to make a lovely salad without tomatoes! The cheesecake was lovely, which for £8.95 it should be.
Popped in on a random Tuesday lunchtime the place was empty but that didn't put us off the service was very good, food excellent selection of drinks was spot on and the main reason we went is how dog friendly they are so we could take our little pooch with us.
Would definitely visit again
Fantastic weekend stay at Cromwell's! We haven't been before but will 100% return. They had a 'deep south and blues' event on during our stay which made our weekend. Amazing food and drinks. We were told the beers were imported from america. They had some live music on which was fantastic! They said they have events on throughout the year, so will look to see what we fancy and hopefully return.

I only really have one small criticism, which is that the place is a little run down. The staff were amazing though. Very happy. Would recommend to others.
