Lovely place and great service, however I ordered the fish cakes but asked for no tomatoes on the salad that came with it as I don't like tomatoes. I thought they'd do something else instead of tomatoes but it arrived with just the rocket salad and nothing else, not even cucumber. Not hard to make a lovely salad without tomatoes! The cheesecake was lovely, which for £8.95 it should be.

Visited on Saturday afternoon with my daughter for a mother's day treat. Sat at a table directly in front of the bar and young waitress said she'd be back to clear glasses. There were 2 other young lads behind the bar but no one came near. It wasn't very busy. So my daughter eventually had to go to the bar and ordered an aperol spritz and a blue bar gin and tonic. Was another long delay and eventually a young lad actually came from behind the bar to tell us they had no aperol so my daughter said we'd just have 2 gins and tonics and could he clear the dirty glasses .Again a long wait to get 2 drinks that came with the tonic (I'm assuming the whole bottle) already added. The 3 staff were totally disinterested in any customers and seemed to have an aversion to coming out from behind the bar. When my daughter went to the bar to pay the barman, he couldn't work the till and eventually the waitress helped and charged us £16 for the 2 drinks. The gin is £4.50 on the menu. My daughter just paid the excessive charges for tonic as we wanted to go to a bar that gave some service. Had wanted to try this place for a while but we won't be coming back I'm afraid.

Place looks nice inside, but it looks inspired from any other independent coffee shop in Shrewsbury now. Service is good, al happy and eager to help and to make your moment there a pleasant one. But the food... the food is bland, no choices and very, very pricey for what it is! Rating.."Meh" 😧

Notice there haven't been any reviews here for some years. When we visited in July 2023 the menu consisted of three choices of pannini filling and some "tray bakes" that looked like they had been sitting around for a while. That was it. We ordered pannini. Although we chose to sit down to eat they arrived in a brown paper bag. Although we were the only people in the cafe it took some time for them to be microwaved and they got one order wrong. I don't think I've ever had such poor quality food. The pannini were just rolls with some lines on top and the fillings were sparce and unpleasant. And these cost us £6 each. They should either put the effort in to make this a good place to meet and eat or throw in the towel and just have a vending machine; they'd probably make more money.
