The best restaurants in Quarry and Coton Hill Shropshire West Midlands

Very disappointing. Although the staff were very friendly 50 minutes before the starter appeared is less than adequate. No apology, no attempt to make it right. When I chased this, no rectification. I have given three stars on the basis the staff were very friendly and when the food arrived it was exceptional.

A great place for lunch and people watching

AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID If I could give 0 I would! The kebab for 1 over an hour and 30 mins when you call the restaurant they are aggressive and threatening! The driver came to the door and told me they have no clue what they are doing in the restaurant and agreed the service is terrible! The food was cold I had to put it in the microwave. I was eating my food and then someone called me on a mobile number from the restaurant threatening tone asking me what was wrong with my food. I had the worst experience ordering it and the worst experience eating it! They in the end put the phone down as they don’t like to be wrong! Went here on the recommendation of a couple who had stayed with us at our Guesthouse in Llandudno. We were not disappointed, The decor at this 500 year old pub is homely and charming. The real ale on offer was great. We had grilled chicken with charred asparagus served on risotto rice with wild garlic sauce and battered haddock with chips and pea puree. Both were superb and obviously cooked to order. Will definitely return when in Shrewsbury again.

Great place full off history friendly staff and an allsortment off drinks

Had an amazing evening at the Terrace celebrating my 30th birthday with my family and friends. James the owner was so attentive from start to finish and I really appreciated his professionalism. The venue is just the most gorgeous venue in Shrewsbury looking out over the river! Very classy. Thanks to all the team at terrace for the very yummy food and drinks which went down extremely well with all of my guests. Thank you again xxx

We have visited this place many times with much satisfaction. It has changed hands and is a disaster. I have never walked out of a restaurant before and I have never placed a review on Tripadvisor, Today I have done both! There are o longer any home cooked meals. I don’t blame them for that. It’s a business choice. We ordered a tea and a hot chocolate and two cheese and ham paninis. We were told there would be. Wait for the paninis. The tea was fine. The hot chocolate was very small and not hot. After half an hour there was still no panini. The family next to us got up and left after being told their panini would be another 20 mins. They had arrived before us. I asked at the counter whether there was a problem with our order. I was told no and that there were two tables ahead of us and then we would be served. They said that would be another 15 mins or so. I told them I didn’t have the time to wait any longer. We paid for the drinks and left. It was simple food. There was no excuse. They simply didn’t have the capacity to supply the simple dishes. Nor did they have any change! It was unbelievably rank amateur. Never again.

Floor was filthy, had to ask for table to be cleaned, was given a cup with dried paint on the rim. No milk given with tea. Would have given a zero if it were possible.

It's a great place to meet my buddy Matt and have a coffee . You can get toasted sandwiches with chips for example. The staff here are lovely , Amy for example has a friendly smiley face and asks how are you etc. It's not just food old people as one person said there are all ages here.

Great range of beer to choose from (up to 10 pumps). Landlord very friendly and knowledgeable about his beer.

Terrible, we asked for 3 Long Island iced tea, and the told they didn’t have the ingredients for it. It’s a cocktail bar, really!

We ordered this as a takeaway order, it was the chicken shawamara and lamb donner kebab and chips, as soon as we tried this something didn't feel right and for past 24 hours myself and partner have had aggressive food poisoning and complained but not had a response, wouldn't use ever again

A lovely afternoon/early evening with the kiddos who loved playing in the garden and burning off some energy on football pool. The food was quick, very tasty and very generous portions. The pizza was huge and the waiter was happy to box up the leftovers that my daughter couldn’t finish to take home. A friendly and welcoming atmosphere from staff and customers and a real feel good vibe. Thanks for being so accommodating. Catch ya soon team red barn :-)
