Terrace Charcoal Grill & Lounge Bar in Shropshire

Had an amazing evening at the Terrace celebrating my 30th birthday with my family and friends. James the owner was so attentive from start to finish and I really appreciated his professionalism. The venue is just the most gorgeous venue in Shrewsbury looking out over the river! Very classy. Thanks to all the team at terrace for the very yummy food and drinks which went down extremely well with all of my guests. Thank you again xxx

Went as a group of 8. The food was incredibly small portions. A chicken burger with half a breast of chicken. Chicken breast with cous cous. The salmon was under cooked, and was served with giant cous cous which was fridge cold and completely tasteless. When asked how the meal was the waitress was told how disappointing the food was, and nothing was done by the management or team. The attached photographed food was £25. Others on the table were also disappointed with their food.

This turned out to be a nightmare, 11 meals and not one satisfied customer, steak at nearly £30 was a bit of steak and a lump of potato, starters were cold and totally unappetising , chicken for mains was cold, tofu was a lump of cold unseasoned tofu , totally inedible, salmon was raw in the middle , undercooked, there was not a vegetable served with any meals, dessert of white chocolate mousse was whipped cream with a sprinkle of white chocolate, the 4th dessert supposed to be the same was totally different ,

Having had a couple of drinks here in the sun with the lovely view of the river, we asked if they could fit us in ( table of 3) for late lunch. They did and we were very grateful as the heavens opened and we were sat sipping our drinks scanning the menu during a thunderstorm.! The chef hadn’t had a break and they had some big groups due in so we really appreciated them squeezing us in and they did say there would be a little wait as we were an extra table. Well, the wait was minimal and the food was beautiful. Good portion sizes, not too big and overwhelming, flavoursome and filling. All the staff were friendly and attentive. We all had lovely meals and had a great time. I would highly recommend ! Thanks for squeezing us in!!

Don’t bother, absolutely awful food that took ages to come. Only four items on menu and when we ordered only two were available, and we were the only table in there. Massively overpriced is an understatement. Felt embarrassed for the waitresses

I worked at The terrace restaurant in Shwresbury in 1985 when the owner was an Italian. I feel like the restaurant was in another building...maybe the old hospital I think. I was 16 years old. I remember the good and unique pizza in the area. Good work.

Nice venue with a small restaurant and an adjacent terrace area with rattan furniture and parasols overlooking the river. Friendly staff provided table service. Will definitely return, maybe for food next time. (No score for food, as we only had drinks)

Me and my partner came here for our 3rd year anniversary lunch. Right off the bat the staff were absolutely lovely and so helpful and welcoming. We were seated on their terrace with a lovely view of the river and although the venue is situated by the bus station you wouldn’t even bat an eyelid about that here, it feels like a holiday destination. We both ordered the steak, I ordered with the Terrace spice option which was absolutely delicious and myself and my partner enjoyed the food so much we couldn’t stop complimenting it to each other. We were given a glass each of Prosecco on the house for our anniversary which was such a kind gesture and we enjoyed two cocktails from their menu. I had their Berry Sexy cocktail which was lovely but the real winner was their exclusive Tiramisu Martini which was actually not on the menu yet, this tasted just like a traditional tiramasu but in liquid form. It was INCREDIBLE. This has been such a gorgeous experience and we will be coming back and bringing friends too. Thankyou to all the staff for making this occasion so special for us!!

This was our first visit to Terrace and we will most definitely be back!!!! We had tried to book for a Friday night but the restaurant was full so we ended up here on a quiet Thursday evening. I’d booked online and explained that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and so the staff went all out to make us feel welcomed, expected and special! We were shown to our river view table by Hannah, the restaurant manager, who was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive yet discreet, allowing us to enjoy our evening by attending to our needs with quiet efficiency. When it came to ordering food, we were initially disappointed to learn that, due to the restaurant being quiet that evening, the kitchen was running the shorter lunch menu, when our faces dropped, Hannah immediately popped to the kitchen to see what dishes could be prepared… Chef Mark joined us at the table - gave us a big friendly ‘congratulations on your wedding anniversary’ greeting and chatted about the menu options! It felt like we had our own personal chef and we were even offered trial dishes which were being tested out for the menu!! So we had the beetroot starter and Harry’s chorizo stack featuring layers of chorizo, courgette and aubergine with a fried rocket garnish - both starters were a refreshing delight - the combination of flavours were on point, produce fresh and they had clearly been cooked to order.. We both had sirloin steak for our main meal which is served with a tasty ratatouille side and seasoned skin-on chips. Now, we aren’t usually sirloin lovers, in fact when ordering steak, we usually avoid the cut, but Mark convinced us to try it and we are so glad we did! Cooked and seasoned to perfection on the bbq coals, it did not disappoint!! We enjoyed a bottle of Chateau Neuf du Pape which fully complimented the meal. So by this stage of the meal, we were enjoying these little quirks that made the meals unique and exciting. We didn’t feel full or uncomfortable after our mains, portions were the absolute right size for us… so, naturally there was room for dessert... Now, Hannah being rather good at her job, almost enticed me into having a tiramisu espresso martini (but with our complimentary Prosecco on arrival and half a bottle of red, I was in no position to consume any more alcohol!!) so we opted for one salted caramel tart and one tart au citron… and shared them as lovers do!! The sweets were homemade and, again, were the perfect size so as not to over fill us. We teamed the desserts with an espresso each and some friendly chat with a couple across the restaurant from us who were also enjoying their wedding anniversary meal! And that’s the ambience you get at Terrace, there’s a relaxed efficiency to the whole place and you feel happy to strike up conversations with other diners. Chef Mark is clearly keen to create a buzz around the bbq prepared food and oozes excitement as he recommends his dishes. We met the sous chef and chef de partie - sorry guys, we can’t remember your names (but I blame the Prosecco and half a bottle of Neuf du Pape each for that!) and the whole evening felt personal and kind.. Faith who worked the bar was lovely - she’s young and relatively knowledgeable in the industry and she enjoyed chatting about her desire to travel and experience the world - so refreshing to have an interesting chat with younger staff who are attentive and keen! It’s interesting to read some of the very few negative reviews about Terrace, we notice that a fair amount of criticism is aimed at wait times and attitude of the staff.. so here’s our view… if these reviews are honest, the venue has clearly taken the criticism on board. We found the staff polite, efficient, friendly and committed to us having a wonderful experience. Yes, the wait for food was marginally lengthy but who goes out for dinner to rush? We understand that when food is being prepared from fresh, over bbq coals, there’s a entirely different cooking experience going on in the kitchen (which is all totally visible to guests) Who wants to rush that?!!! So for us Terrace, it’s a big fat 5 star win (and as you’ll see, we review on Tripadvisor a LOT) so if it’s not worth talking about, we don’t! We will be back again in the not too distant future! Keep on doing what you’re doing Terrace… it works for us! Big thanks👍

I recently had my 40th birthday held at this gorgeous venue. We made use of both the riverside garden and upstairs area. James was so helpful and the staff were incredibly attentive. All guests had a fantastic time. Highly recommend the Terrace!!

Our second poor experience in a row. We visited on Saturday afternoon. Almost an hour passed between walking through the door and finally being 'served'. We went to the bar on arriving and were advised that it was table service only. We seated ourselves on the lower terrace and waited to be served. 20 minutes later we were still waiting. Finally, a member of staff appeared, completely ignoring us and the other tables of new arrivals, all without drinks. When they again reappeared, we took the initiative they were lacking and approached them ourselves, asking if they could take our order. Contrary to what we had been told on arrival, we were advised that all orders must be placed at the bar. We returned to the bar to place our orders and were told, again, that it was table service only and that they did not know why we had been told otherwise. We returned to our table, only to be ignored once more. By this point at least 10-15 people on the tables around us had given up and left. The member of staff finally reappeared, and we were again forced to approach them, repeating to them what the bar staff had told us. They finally agreed to take our order. We then waited for about 20 minutes. Nothing arrived. We went to find a waiter and they assured us that our drinks were on their way. 5 minutes later, still nothing. We saw the waiter again, who seemed completely indifferent to the fact that, by this point, we had been waiting for nearly an hour to be served; one can only presume that this is a perfectly ordinary occurrence at The Terrace. We were again told that our drinks were on their way. We did not believe it and went up to the bar to see for ourselves. It transpired that they had no knowledge of our order, despite it having been taken and paid for 30 minutes earlier. Clearly, no one had actually checked with the bar when we expressed our concerns. There were numerous staff milling around the bar, but in our hour there we had barely seen any staff on the lower terrace, and on the odd occasion we had, it had been down to us to get their attention. By this point our patience had run out. We asked to speak to the manager. Lots of apologies, but no explanation as to why we had been ignored and then forgotten. It was only when I made it clear that we knew the owner had just arrived on site, and that we would like to speak with him, that they agreed to offer refunds. At the same time we were told that a private function was on that evening (over two hours away) and that it was last orders (again, we had been here for an hour by this point and were yet to be served, so the last orders warning was all the more laughable). We definitely won't be returning. You pay a premium here for a sub-par experience. There are countless better alternatives at a much more reasonable price.

Amazing, amazing , amazing !!! After being let down the day before my others half’s surprise party by another venu, James & Wendy sorted us right out and saved the day!!! It’s was more then perfect & the food was insane & the drinks were lovely ! We shall definitely be returning ! Thank you again guys !

I recently celebrated my 30th birthday at this stunning venue, and it was an unforgettable experience. Such a beautiful location to celebrate with friends and family. James and Wendy were incredibly accommodating and welcoming. On the night of the celebration, the staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring the venue was set up exactly as I envisioned. The drinks were delightful, especially the custom cocktail I created with their assistance. I would definitely recommend this venue for any celebration and look forward to returning soon to try out the food menu.

Had drinks on a Saturday afternoon on May bank holiday. Can't comment on food but really disappointing experience for drinks. lovely location, but service was poor, we ordered at the bar as noone came to table, very confused waiter when asking for wine menu, who poured drinks in front of us, then told us to sit down, but took another 10 mins to bring them out... Would rather have fetched our own... Outdoor seating awkward and cramped (despite few customers) and not very clean. Wine was average. Would try again for food, and hope for better service inside...

Came for a meal on a hot friday evening, we were looked after by all the staff and owners Nothing was too much trouble and the food was amazing- Massive thank you to Alanis who was chef for the evening and to Faith and Hannah would also looked after us, James and Wendy the owners was so welcoming and it made our evening out after a long school year! Pleasant environment beside the River for a drink but let down by slow, slobby service by young staff who clearly didn't remind their faces not to show they hated being at work. Collected my own beer for the bar after seeing it sat on the bar 15 minutes after I ordered it. The two staff gossiping or flirting in the glass cube area seemed oblivious to the fact that customers can see them. The boss needs to kick a few backsides.

Not such a good experience on this visit, chicken overcooked and fries very salty. Shame as previously we have had a good lunch here. Received apologies and reduced bill but disappointed on thus occasion

What a shame not more people are supporting this wonderful eatery. We arrived on a Friday lunchtime and we were the only diners, best seats in the house overlooking the river and terrace that is open at weekends. Service was brilliant, we had a warm welcome, draught Peroni was ice cold and went down a treat . The food was superb, we had junior chef Harry’s starter of chorizo and aubergine and courgette with rocket, gorgeous, the main course of chicken skewers was excellent and the dessert of a salted caramel tart just finished a lovely lunch. 10/10 or 5/5 we will be back to this superb restaurant.

We have visited The Terrace on several occasions, and have just held our daughters 21st birthday party there. Beautiful venue with extremely friendly staff. The owner James & his management team are outstanding and nothing is too much trouble. They work over & above to ensure everyone is happy & enjoying themselves. Fabulous lunch today with stunning views over the river from the terrace. Fodd was impeccablly cooked and the service was top notch, couldn't fault anything and couldn't ask for more. All for an incredible good value price Will definitely return, again and again

Small lunch menu, which is fine for us as I believe the food will or should be excellent with a small menu and it was. Service was great. Staff friendly, dressed well and professional. We got iced water offered and served immediately. Location is fantastic, plenty of seating options, shade, sun or on swing chairs. Food was very tasty and portion was big enough. Thanks to the chef Mark for the great food. Small negative points, I ordered a beetroot starter which should come with tomatoes and feta but instead it came with warm lettuce and a very small amount of tomatoes and feta 😞 I wish the small menu would change every so often as it can be very boring when returning and everything has been tried and tasted . Prices are quiet high and a 10% discretionary charge is put on top of the bill and not being offered to take off (as my husband won't ask to have it taken off haha). We paid just under £40 for lunch for 2 without drinks. Overall I am happy to recommend this restaurant /bar .

The terrace hosted my baby shower, they were so attentive despite being a bit short staffed initially during a particularly busy period. Really appreciated staff checking in to make sure everything was ok with food etc, the mocktails were lovely. Look forward to coming back to sample the cocktails!!

Perfect for 3 ladies who do lunch. What a great find, we started off with cocktails, followed by chicken skewers, which were amazing, and 3 bottles of a lovely Pinot Grigio blush. Oh, and the complimentary dessert was amazing, thank you. The staff were very attentive, and James and his wife, Wendy, were excellent hosts. We had a great afternoon and can highly recommend it. Thank you for letting us stay all day, literally! Hope to be back x

This was such a huge disappointment after we'd been looking forward to eating here. We came for our joint birthdays and found it lacking in pretty much all respects. The waitress who greeted and seated us was wearing a filthy jumper and her bottom half was also covered in food stains, to the extent she may have had an accident but it was all dried and looked awful. An incredibly bad impression. The menu isn't huge, which is fine, and they have a separate gluten free menu. All the food served was either luke warm or cold. My starter was fine but my partner had halloumi which was undercooked. My partner had the chicken for main which was ok and I had the steak. As mine was gluten free it was the steak, an empty red pepper which was mostly uncooked, and half a grilled courgette which was again undercooked. For dessert we both had the apple mille feuille which was so bad I couldn't eat it, I did notice the waitress note my reaction but when she came to clear my uneaten dessert she did not ask if it was ok (which it clearly was not). Service was poor, glasses were removed and no further drinks offered, sat with no service and nothing to eat/drink after mains were cleared. My partner was eventually asked if we wanted any more drinks or the bill, at which point he asked if we could have some desserts. Two other tables were also unhappy with no salt and pepper available and then served when they were half way through their meal and the other table the empty red pepper not received well... There were plenty of staff but the lack of attentiveness and general apathy was disappointing. The bill was presented with a service charge added but not pointed out, which we asked to remove. It was clear we weren't happy with the food and the response from staff was nonexistent. It should be a night where this is a busy place, in a great location but there were only 4 tables with 11 covers in. Sadly we won't be back and we won't be recommending The Terrace to anyone as it's probably the worst meal I've had in Shrewsbury for a long time. We paid and left as quickly as we could.

Thank you for a wonderful lunch! Such a beautiful location overlooking the River Severn. The service was outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. Food was all delicious and we loved how everything was freshly made, even down to the homemade crisps! Fantastic Limoncello Spritz too! We will definitely be back soon!

We had a fantastic meal at the terrace, ordered the chicken and it was divine. Cooked to perfection, didn’t want it to end! Service was great, the owner was so attentive and really lovely to chat to. All the staff were friendly from the lady on the door to the bar staff and waitresses. Can’t recommend this highly enough and looking forward to going back soon

I’ve been looking forward to visit the terrace for some time now and it did not disappoint! The work that has clearly been put into making the restaurant/bar look stunning can be seen as soon as you walk in. I’ll be honest, on a hot summers day you could close your eyes and think you’re aboard, having a lovely evening meal and few drinks ☺️ The service was fantastic, the lady that dealt with us that afternoon, loved her whole attitude. The food was beautiful, my only complaint would be it’s quite a limited lunch menu but I also understand why places do this. We look forward to coming back to try the evening menu in the near future.

Went to the Terrace for a charity fashion event organised by Miss Shropshire where I was one of the photographers. I absolutely love the vibe of this place. A beautiful covered terrace right by the river, I was welcomed by the management and offered a coffee. They were always on hand to help with every aspect of the event. The management and staff are brilliant. The canapes offered during the internal were delicious. If you are looking for somewhere to host an event give this venue a try, I will certainly be using it myself for potential future events. Am planning a return trip to sample the food as heard a lot of good things about the food and the menu looks very inticing. Cant wait to go back and its right by the river so whats not to love!

Went for celebrity drinks in the sun, ordered our drinks 30 minutes later still had not arrived went to the bar and was told to sit down they were coming another 5 minutes our drinks were still sat on the bar, table next to us had been charged for drinks the hadnt had, wont go again

My husband went to the bar to ask for our water and to order drinks… another 15 minutes later no drinks, and still no food order taken. We ended up leaving after those 45 minutes and walked along the river to another well established restaurant where we had far better service. I’m sure Terrace would be lovely if you managed to get your orders taken as it’s a lovely setting, but we won’t be back.

Went in for drinks . Staff had no idea about serving those who arrived first and just Willy nilly served whoever . Took 25 mins until our drink order was taken after we had to go inside to ask. Then wrong drinks arrived. Asked 3 times to 2 different staff for a glass of water. Totally disappointing experience. Seating cheap and uncomfortable. Nothing special about this place despite the menu prices being top end. No toilet roll in toilet, no towels to dry hands, hot water scolding hot . Card machine didn’t work took 3 attempts. Not sure what’s going on at this place the man owner talks the talk but doesnt walk the walk .

We visited Saturday May bank holiday weekend, there were 6 of us. Booked a table for lunch and must say the service and the welcome received by the owner was absolutely superb. Very warm and very friendly. Had a lovely table overlooking the river, and the food was sublime too. The pork skewers and burger would highly recommend and also the chips were some the nicest chips had in years. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back

Great location overlooking the river and enjoyed the wine but service was very slow, menu quite limited and food was distinctly average. We waited 45 minutes for our shared starters. Chips were tasty but small portions. I would go back for drinks but wouldn’t eat there again and wouldn’t recommend to others.

Ate here a year ago, when first opened. Slow service & I fell on the wet (rainy) entrance (no mat) - really hurt my back. Returned last night, for drinks only but totally disappointed. Yet again! Security let us in. We were told too big of a party to sit together - 7 of us. However, Owner then told us we couldn’t take up 2 tables 🤷‍♀️ Plus my friend was questioned on the amount of alcohol he’d drunk 🥴 He was sitting quietly reading the drinks menu! We left. To be fair to the Owner, he did come over to talk this over with my husband, after we left. But, none of us will be returning…. Or recommending this place. We are a group of professionals, not shy in spending money…

An absolutely amazing place! I had my 21st birthday party here last night and it was perfect. James - the owner is fantastic and so friendly. From booking, to having the party James has been so attentive and i could tell he wanted to make sure it was all perfect. I have also eaten here in the past, and the food is amazing!! i would highly recommend for any type of occasion, be that a casual lunch to parties! I can’t wait to go back for a cocktail by the river. Thanks again Terrace Bar!

We have always wanted to try here, and so it was booked for my birthday by my husband. We came as a family, and were not disappointed, food was very tasty, tho portions could have been a bit bigger, especially with 2 grown up sons. Apart from that, everything was great, fantastic staff and service, the chef came to talk to us and asked if we had any questions regarding the menu. Cocktails were delicious, and to top it all, I had a free dessert for my birthday 😋 A great location, will be lovely in the summer. Well done, keep up the good work 👏

Came here for a cocktail and was blown away by the great customer service we received. Smartly dressed and took time out to talk and recommend places to go afterwards. Everyone was smiling and friendly, would definitely recommend.

What a lovely place, so welcoming. The food was excellent, I had a sirloin steak that was sublime. The staff were wonderful and so accommodating. Cypriot food was so special.

My Fam and i Had a lunch and we were the only guest during that time...It took 50 mins before the food arrived...Then when the food arrived the chicken Skewers served not in Skewer and the serving was ver very very small portion..Anf also the meat was not cook in charcoal i am quitely sure...But the waiter who serves us was very accomodating.. And the is very nice..

My family and I went there for lunch. The view and place looked beautiful. We thought that the food would be good. Sadly, as we ordered, we had to wait a long time and when our food came out, they were such small portions. We had ordered the skewers and was disappointed to find out that they were not grilled as it states in the menu. We had to pay such an overpriced food. I'm sorry, but I don't think we will go back there again.

We were impressed with the view and the food but especially with the service, which was as good as I've experienced anywhere. Owners and staff that really care about the guest experience. Top food, top location and fantastic service. Very impressive.

Such an incredible venue, food exceptional service was incredible and attentive. Highly recommend for catch up with friends or a beautiful date venue by the river. The cocktails are not too be missed wow they are all soo good

What can I say . . . AMAZING! The service was wonderful, very polite and professional. As for the food, it was out of this world! The food was cooked beautifully, to perfection from starter to pudding! We will be returning with friends and family!!!!

Excellent place for a Sunday brunch. While the menu isn't presented as such - we ate from the lunch menu - the food and terrific coffee in this riverside bar and grill make for a savoury late morning/mid-day meal. Definitely popping back for dimmer.

Been trying for a while to get here. We'll worth the wait. Charcoal skewers have an excellent taste, and lovingly cooked.

Service, food, drinks, ambience all fantastic. Can’t fault the terrace. The weather was atrocious and so we were glad of the heaters. We’re out of towners and had tried a couple of other restaurants in Shrewsbury and this was the best by far. The chef and waiter were fab, interacting, advising re the menu, making recommendations and providing additional tasters etc. We highly recommend.

Absolutly terrific. They've transformed this place from what it was and having followed the progress it's clear the hard work is paying off. I had the evening menu, and the steak was top notch. I'm not usually one to go for desserts but this were terrific. Best pastry I've ever tried. Staff were terrific and very attentive. I went in the winter and it made for a wondeful atmosphere and feeling. In the summer it will be spot on too as it'll get lots of evening sun. Highly recommend you give it a go.

This was our first visit to this establishment and we were absolutely blown away! We visited as a group of 4 for lunch and from the moment we arrived we were very impressed with the layout and scenic view of the river and the warm welcome from the staff. The attentiveness of our waiter was excellent and the chef even popped out to engage in conversation and to talk to us about the menu and offered recommendations as what to order. We all went for the locally sourced Sirloin steak and I must say that it was the best steak I have ever tasted, the charcoal grill really does make such a difference and it was cooked to perfection (medium rare). We found the prices to be very competitive and the quality was second to none. We have been lucky enough to eat out all over the country from London to Edinburgh and it is so nice to discover this Shrewsbury gem! After our meal, the chef popped out of the kitchen to offer us a taste of the beef skewers as well and these were AMAZING and will definitely be ordered on our next visit, which I hope will be very soon! From our home in North Shropshire, we are so lucky to have this establishment on our doorstep. Bravo!

The Terrace has now a fully covered area and as such you wouldn’t know it’s ’outside’ the heaters do a great job Staff are very accommodating and they have made efforts to make it fully inclusive for wheelchair users, by the addition of a disabled toilet and a ramp to access this to overcome a step . Food was enjoyable and the choice of drinks made mainly by Kieron ; are great We shall be returning in the future,we certainly would recommend you try them. In the summer this place will be buzzing I hope .

Terrible lunch. Only people there. Small flaccid pieces of pork/chicken, cold pittas and small dish of 'salad'. Would have refused to accept but we were treating a friend before hospital and she chose restaurant because close to station. Shrewsbury is full of great restaurants so stay away from this one.

Called in for cocktails and nibbles here. It's a fabulous little place with a superb river location The cocktail was right up my street and completely delicious. The "nibbles" were ridiculously sublime. We were only visiting Shrewsbury, but will without doubt call again if we are in town.

I’ve eaten here a few times now and had drinks in the bar with family and friends. Beautiful venue, located right on the river, you feel like you’re in the countryside. Lovely chilled music and relaxed atmosphere. Food was great, really well cooked, juicy chicken (so pleased they’re using local butchers and suppliers for positive field to fork), love the coleslaw and terrace herbs. Pitta with the dips is a favourite bar snack for my daughter! Great wine list and range of cocktails and very reasonably priced given the unique location. Great service, super friendly staff with a real personal touch. I’ll be going back!

I have been here on three occasions now, once with a colleague, once with family and once with friends. We have always been made to feel like an inconvenience to the staff, twice we have asked for food and been told we can't have any (restaurant too busy on one occasion, restaurant "closed" on another, which was 8pm on a Friday). The young staff mostly seem to stand around chatting and seem inconvenienced and irritated by customers. I think this place needs some experienced senior management asap! The location is lovely and I really wanted to support a new local business (which is why I've kept returning) but you're really not going to last long unless you start turning some of this around.

Can't fault the food and service . Steaks were amazing. Cocktails fab. Just so cold, only 2 heaters. Need more heating.

First visit here with a large crowd of friends, great service and atmosphere. the cocktail mixer was particulary good, friendly and made great mocktails for the under 18's with us. Will def visit again.

We had a flavour filled lunch today , Hummus and pitta starter, followed by chicken and vegetable skewers, both char grilled to perfection . The mains came with a gorgeous really fresh little feta salad and pitta bread . The staff were lovely ,explaining how they only used fresh local produce which is cooked on a charcoal grill. They also made our beverages exactly how we like them . I would definitely reccomend this restaurant.

The steak was so delicious The staff were also very friendly. The scenery was also very pretty. We are tourists and stopped by by chance. Seeing that there are so many customers, I think it is a famous restaurant.

I have come in many time to the venue and it has been fantastic every time. However I come in 3 weeks ago and got seated straight away by a lovely lady and felt welcomed intill I got spoken to horrible by the young lady on the bar on my way to the toilet. Pretty sure her name began with an F as I heard one of the waiters say her name. She was so disrespectful and quite frankly rude never thought i would be spoken to like that in a nice venue like this. However the food was amazing as always but I will not be coming to this venue again until Actions are taken further.

Sadly food isn't great, the chicken kebab isn't cooked on charcoal and tastes very bland, the fries are an extra £4.50 and are very small. The setting is nice and is a good place to go for drinks but after trying the food a couple...

Lovely place to sit on the terrace, chat and sample a drink. Very good quality wines with good choices. Also nice place for a morning coffee or tea and cake. Not eaten here yet but those who were were enjoying it Spoke to the owner...

After a long 41/2 train journey without air con back to Shrewsbury, we wanted something decent and filling in a fresh air environment What a lovely gem of a place Shaded and overlooking the river Staff very friendly . Service with a smile Aroma was...

Great place, nice chill out music, great food menu 👌

So, our first visit to the Terrace was a bit of a disaster. We couldn’t get in at first as it was busy, but we waited at the Alb opposite (great pub) and managed to get a seat about 45 minutes later We were only in for drinks and to try the place to book food in the future. The venue is quite packed, with little space between tables. Very busy in the bar area, but not much going on for food as far as we could see. We ordered drinks. Nothing fancy, just beer and waited…..and waited….and waited…..after 20 mins we left! So we can’t comment on the drinks, although we could see the beer was being ‘livened up’ by whisking with a straw, so maybe giving up and moving on was a good move. As we left, we were thanked by the guy who showed us to our table. Oblivious to the poor service and the fact we hadn’t even had a drink. It would be unfair to have an opinion beyond the poor service. We visited and sat outside but have not tried the food or the drinks, and never will! First impressions - don't bother!

We had a birthday celebration for my boyfriend and the food and drinks were amazing. The staff was really attentive and kind. Highly recommended. Definitely coming back soon. P.S. Best Margarita in town!

Best Steak we have ever had. Shame no veg with it. Aperol spritz was expensive Champagne 🍾 was nice. Great views overlooking the river.
