It was my pizza that was given to the lad on the previous review who was chased down the street. The lunatic behind the counter handed it to him by mistake then jumped the counter and accused him of grabbing it and running off, which he definitely didn't. He then started cutting pizzas furiously, apparently with no idea who they were actually for. The situation got more and more bizarre from there, once his sidekick joined in and banned everybody. I may have grown frustrated at this point and arguably escalated the situation somewhat. It culminated in him throwing a handful of money at me, which to be fair, might have been slightly more than I'd actually given him to begin with. I was informed that the man in question was the manager, had I known this previously, I would have afforded him the respect that a man of his stature is clearly due. In the end, nobody got their pizza, but it was very entertaining.

Ordered a pizza for £8.50. Seemed to be some confusion, they chased me down the street 5 minutes later. Ripped my pizza off me saying we hadn’t paid for it. Never seen anything like this since being in Bucharest on a stag do. Unbelievable!

Ordered over £70 of pizza to be delivered for friends and family. Pizza arrived cold and they’d forgotten one! Messaged them to say how disappointed I was and they didn’t bother replying. They’re normally good but I was really disappointed this time

Avoid using this for take out. Meal ordered at 6 pm for delivery at 19:30 payment taken from card. Rung at 19:50 where is the order ? It's on it way be about 20mins. Rung again at 20:35 he's just leaving......

Food so good it should be illegal

Jesus christ where to begin. I've seen crack dens on Ross Kemp cleaner than the inside of this place. Having been to chernobyl I've seen food cooked there that looked better than what they gave me. I had to go to A&E to have it surgically removed later that night but the pain didn't stop there. The ferocious torment on my digestion system is still reaping havoc 3 days later. My poor rear end feels like I've been assaulted down there by a pineapple. I'd sooner share a meal with a strangers dog than go back.

If I could give this pizzeria minus stars, I would, how are they even open? Are there no food and safety codes in Shrewsberry? I popped in to get a quick bite and was completely shocked by the uncleanliness, and the way the food is stored upfront. Nothing was refrigerated. The gentleman that took my order answered the phone rang me up and made the pizza without washing his hands, coughing consistently, and wore no gloves while preparing the food. I honestly wish I would’ve taken pictures while I was there. I ordered a small pie paid for it and left. I did not return to pick it up because I was so completely grossed out by everything in this pizzeria I’m gonna chalk it up to a loss on my part, but there was no way I was going back in to get my money back or pick up the pizza I ordered at the counter. honestly, I can’t believe people aren’t getting sick from the food from this place.

Having a delivery this evening the woman on the phone was as miserable as sin didn’t let me know there would be a huge wait for the food food is always great just a shame the the woman didn’t do her job and let me know about the delay because she would of knew there was very disappointing

Don't order chicken tikka! Really not good. Couldn't eat it 🥵 really weird flavour. I suggest taking it off the menu. I tried to swap with friends but they didn't like it either . They had meaty and hawaiin and said it was ok

Ordered by phone. The cost of 2 pizzas was £23.30. So I thought I would get £25.30 in cash ready for convenience for the delivery guy, he could simply give me £2 change. The pizzas took an hour and a quarter to be delivered the delivery guy only had change for £25. So he tried to short change me because he said that's all the change the boss had given him. So when I said that's not my problem he replied that it wasn't his problem either. So I just gave him the pizzas back. When I rang the venue a very rude guy who I am guessing is the owner started shouting at me in the back ground. So I just hung up. Not a well run place.

Surprised by how good the pizza was, considering its NOT my go-to food most times. This is a takeaway place, no in-house dining and there are limited calzones and side options as well. I got the chicken tikka pizza, standard size, and it was quite tasty and fresh. Didn't come with any veggies, don't remember if it was on the menu or not, so I ended up putting some tomatoes over it once back home. Loads of cheese, and took about 10 mins for the order to be ready. Recommended and good value for money

We ordered here as we are trying to avoid chains and support authentic independents. The pizza was genuinely the best I’ve had; delicious fresh base with tasty fresh ingredients on top. No fuss, no issues, no mistakes. It was reasonably priced and the delivery was very quick (the pizza was still piping hot!). Highly recommend 👌

:( sad pizza experience. Pizza took over two hours to arrive, woman on the phone telling us off for not answering the tele-com but we didn’t live where they were calling. Then when the pizza did arrive it was burnt!!!! Thank you for sending another swiftly but pretty surprising you sent the first one anyway, as it was cremated not BBQ chicken :( :(

phoned up my order and they said it would be a hour , 2 hours later i rang and asked why my food was late for delivery and they said it was declined, this is the first and last time i will use they's muppets . flaming great never let you down .

Pizza was ready on time when I went to collect and piping hot. Lovely thick base and LOTS of toppings. Would highly recommend. Tasted like a home made pizza rather than a generic take away pizza. Very, very good!

Very disappointed with my pizza. This is the second time I have felt like this. In all the years I have been having pizza from here its always been absolutely delicious. But tonight and last time the pizza has come 20mins Later than expected and cold. Not sure if they have changed there ingredients but it isn't nice the cheese is very bitty and Doesnt melt .Sorry for this reviews but very disappointed

Ordered chips asked for mayonnaise on them came without, they were all soggy, pizza was solid felt like had left overs from night before, best thing was cold 2 cans pop

Have been visiting for a number of years but the establishment is not as good as it was.They wiped down a table next to us and just brushed it onto the seats. The seats were NOT wiped down!!The chips with the steak were not 'home made' and were just warm and over priced for what they were.Overall a disappointing overpriced experience. Sad really as the decor is lovely.

Not happy one bit. I understand they are very busy. But having ordered food at 5.20 to having the wrong pizza delivered at 6.45 then to wait another hour and something to get my pizza. I must say pizza is lovely that's why I'm giving the 2 stars but having to wait 3 hours for a pizza is not acceptable

Fresh made dough, not like your chain restaurants. Awesome toppings and lots of different choices. Grand Carne is my personal favourite.

Historically my favourite pizza place. Last night I had a pizza from there that was absolutely disgusting! Extremely greasy and the dough was dense and had not rose at all! Yeast? Prior to cooking I seen the raw dough on the side and thought it looked dodgy, but give such brilliant experience over many years thought nothing of it. Should have followed my gut! I’m sorry guys, but last night was horrendous! I still have stomach cramps from how heavy and greasy it was! Please up your game! In your defence, the normal chef (I presume owner was not there) so maybe last nights staff have something to answer for. Sorry!

Waited over an hour for delivery to find an item I ordered was missing so had to wait for that to be delivered an when I opened up my chocolate fudge cake I found a black plastic pen lid in there wasn't impressed considering I spent over 20 pound onion ring weren't cooked they were mushy and everytime picked up a slice the entire topping slid off into a pile won't be ordering again waste of money which is a shame cause Al pics used to be the bees knees of Shrewsbury

Used to be a regular customer here for over 20 years but recently it has gone down hill just received a delivery chips were raw half a pizza was supposed to be meat feast and they put seafood on it ..The bloke answering the phone has the worst telephone manners ever and obviously can’t hear properly..dont know what cheese they are using but it disgusting..wont be using these any longer

Possibly the worst BBQ chicken pizza I have ever had!! Strange tasting, burnt and stringy!! As for the garlic bread pizza, 100% disgusting!! Off cheese, burnt!! If I could share a picture you would understand my disgust!

Needed a takeaway to take back to Premier Inn. Pizza was freshly prepared and tasty, and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Me and my husband try to get to piccalinos every sunday. They have a great menu with something for everyone. The food is lovely, never had a bad meal yet. The staff are really great, very friendly and nothing is to much trouble. Today we were looked after by Ellie, Amy and Alex, a very big thank you to them, they made our day a very nice day.

I have been coming here for 30 years. Knew the original owners and the Pizzas keep getting better deep Pan with Cheese, Ham and Pork, Salami, Pepperoni and a great TOPPING of Motzi MMMMM want one now!!

I thought I would treat my self to my favourite sea food pizza but was disappointed to learn it is not as it was with now no muscles o calamari or king prawns what a shame

I was introduced to Al Pic's by a friend and I have never once been disappointed. Absolutely, hands down the best pizza in Shrewsbury. In fact some of the best pizza I've ever had! The staff are always so friendly and lovely, in person and over the phone. Delivery is always fairly fast even when they're busy. Not only is their pizza super tasty, the value for money is great! Very well priced and the pizzas are huge. My absolute favourite is the Pizza La Bambino - cheese, sausages & baked beans. Such an amazing combo!

I travel down the Cambrian line via Shrewsbury fairly often. When I go for a day trip, it's always a treat if I can nip over the road from Shrewsbury Station to pick up one of their wonderful Hawaiian pizzas! Tasty, succulent and convenient - who could ask for more?

Some interesting choices on the menu, not so sure about veg curry on a pizza but hey to each their own, had a couple of pizzas, large vegetariana and sciciliana both fresh and lovely, quick delivery, food still hot, very happy as was the rest of the family.

Used to be the best pizza in town. How the mighty have fallen. If you want pizza covered in SLOP which slides straight off and forms a pile of topping in the middle of the pizza box when you try and pick up a slice then I would highly recommend it. Looked and tasted like they had used cottage cheese instead of cheese. I wouldn't feed it to my dog. Straight in the bin!! Never again.

WOW! The best pizza in shrewsbury is an understatement! After spending time with the clearly passionate and talented owner I realised straight away this place is serious about its pizza. I stood with the clearly passionate and happy owner for about 10 minutes whilst I waiting for what has to be “THE BEAT PIZZA IVE EVER EATEN” bold claim I know but what place! It deserves a lot of respect when horrible competition around the town ruins this place. Anyone thinking about pizza takeaway elsewhere please look no further than Al Picalinos! What a pizza, well done!

Was a great fan of this establishment but tonight was a massive let down. Late delivery and cold when opened. Could of walked to Tesco and bought a warmer one from the fridge.....

we used to eat here a lot. it can be hit and miss with the quality or cooking but overall a much better pizza than dominos or perfect pizza. really tasty and interesting toppings. shop could do with a spruce but food not bad

Can highly recommend the Piccolino pizza which has garlic, peas and ham. It's incredibly moreish. Bases are delicious. Delivery times are reasonable.

Was best in town years ago but sadly not now.The lack of interest from the owner is not there anymore.Once hand made a base was thicker now its all about profit than care.

I ordered 2 medium pizza. If the medium was this size ( really small ) I'm wondering how a small one looks like. If we talk about quality, well there is nothing to talk about! Zero quality. All greasy and no taste. Just look at the grease on the box. I had to add other stuff from home so i can eat it! And i eat it because i was really hungry! Otherwise i would put it straight in the bin! Will never order again. Disappointing!!!!
