The best restaurants in Lichfield West Midlands

Came to visit Nineteen during a short day trip. All staff were extremely supportive and helpful regarding the circumstances of our adult friend with autism visiting the cafe. All staff were extremely welcoming and thoughtful when supporting us during this visit, going above and beyond to meet any additional needs. Particular staff members even offered some treats/chocolate on the house (free of charge) to further support the vulnerable adult with us. The atmosphere was great and we felt very comfortable during our stay in the cafe. Food and drink options were lovely and the cakes were delicious. Unfortunately the cafe only accepts card payment. This was my first visit to Lichfield and Cafe Nineteen and we will definitely be returning.

I had beef and cashews the beef was fatty and covered in a white gooey substance absolutely disgusting haven't eaten rang up just to be told not their problem rude staff

We visited as a group of 11. They have a great selection of food there were many options including vegan and gluten free. We pre-ordered the food. We arrived and were seated straight away. They came and took our drinks order which arrived swiftly. Considering we were a big group All the food arrived quickly it was all warm and cooked very well, we were all happy with our food. The staff were friendly and helpful the pub has nice decor. Will definitely be visiting again.

Such a lovely pub landlady was so welcoming ! There was a roaring fire and my husband said one of the best points of Guinness he has had in Lichfield. Really worth a visit we will be back.

This was my second order from Napolis after the 1st order was great. however I wont be going again for the following reasons. The 2nd delivery took 1 hour and 3/4 to arrive after originally being told 1 Hour and 1/4 which was long enough in itself but then to top it off it was stone cold, not warm but stone cold and rubbery. I phoned the manager straight away explaining we could not eat this cold disgusting food and to be honest he was not bothered making all the excuses he could think of without any merit, all he was prepared to do is offer a free garlic bread on my next order which i politely declined and said there will be no future orders. I should have read the reviews, lesson learned.

As usual loverly food beef was excellent and vegetables great only gripe was Yorkshire puds were very tough and also the roast potatoes. Did notice that prices have increased too. Otherwise fantastic as usual.

I feel so bad because you only ever review somewhere when you have had bad food. But i have never had a bad experience here. Food is tasty, if you put in the additional notes how you like something they always do it to perfection

What a lovely experience! I booked a table for 10 people on a Monday night for a family birthday celebration. We opted for the all you can eat menu in order to be able to try a few different dishes. The staff were amazing, so helpful, friendly and efficient. The owner was very attentive, checking everything was ok and laughing and joking with us. The food was delicious and plenty of it. We didn't order more as we couldn't even manage the initial food served, for this we were offered boxes to be able to take what was left home, so I now have tonight's meal sorted.....the gift that keeps giving! I would highly recommend The Ruby restaurant and we will definitely be back soon :-)

Ashamed to have taken our American visitors there! Our friend had got caught in motorway traffic and was running late. We rang to apologise and they said it was still ok to come. When we got there at 3.45 pm we were met with not “hello or welcome” but a scowling waitress whose greeting was “You’re too late, we shut at 5 pm”! Rude and unwelcoming staff. And then our scowling waitress informed us there was no decaffeinated tea!!! In this day and age!!!! I was going to offer to nip to Tesco’s a get some, but in reality I wanted to get out of there asap as the afternoon tea had door-stop sized sandwiches with dry, unimaginative fillings and only a choice of scones, scones, and two of the tiniest Little pastries. I will not be returning!

The staff was great and the food and drinks was amazing also it’s a good place for party’s and any type of events.The caravy is outstanding

Lovely location in Dam Street, great service and the food was served hot and delicious. Will definitely visit again when visiting.

We have been having our fish & chips from the Sea Queen since it opened many years ago. The fish is cooked to perfection and the chips too. The staff are very efficient and friendly.its a must!!!

Just had a takeaway from the Ruby. Absolute dire food lacking in any taste whatsoever !!! There was nothing of note bar the prawn crackers. Triple crown. No bean sprouts. Barbecued spare ribs. Cold sauce and could have substituted HP brown sauce. Szechwan special. Aka as sweet and sour mixed meat. Will not be spending any more money here. That’s apart from the hour wait !!!!

We are a frequent visitor to Waitrose in Lichfield for all our essentials and frequently use the cafe! We love the refit the shop has had - it really brings it up to date and has given it a fresh new look. We love the staff! They are always helpful and really friendly. I can't praise Waitrose enough. Love it!
