Just had a meal delivered from Wongs and it was beautiful. I had spicy beef in Cantonese sauce and it was one of the nicest Chinese dishes I've had. My husband equally enjoyed his pork szechuan. Delivery was also super efficient.

Been using this Chinese for years and is 95% always excellent. As with anywhere that sells/serves food they can be hit and miss but that is very rare.

Everyone has their own taste and different Chinese restaurants do food differently which might not be to everyone’s liking. From what I’ve had; The chips are pre salted which sometimes can be too salty. Chicken fried rice and chicken chow mein are nice easily 8/10 I’ve had better in other areas, but for my local Chinese this is one of the best I’ve had. Curry sauce could be abit thicker in my opinion, sometimes quite runny. Prawn crackers are the nice thick ones, not these wafer thin ones people have 😂 I don’t think there is much to change it’s just personal preference. For what I have for Chinese food I’d rate this Top 3 in Tamworth

Have used wongs for a long time. I don’t know what’s happened. Ordered bbq ribs, got dry ribs. Salt and pepper chilli chips were nor salt and pepper chilli chips. My curry and rice meal was tasteless. Hence I won’t be using them again.

Been to Wongs many many times over the years and if anyone slates this place then they must be crazy. Fantastic quality and value would have one every day if possible but missus wouldn’t let me 😂

I have been using Wongs since the 1980s and have always thought of this being the best Chinese in Tamworth. However the last couple of times I have had a chicken curry from here there has been too much salt added. Last night it looked really nice, tender chicken, crunchy onions and the sauce consistency perfect. After a few mouthfuls the taste of the salt was too much that I had to throw half of it away. Such a shame as this used to be the Chinese to go to but I’m afraid not anymore. Update! I have bit the bullet and tried another one and I have had two or three over the recent weeks and what can I say, absolutely scrumptious, just like they used to be. Well done Wongs 😃😃

Very average food seems to have changed hands recently and seems to have got worse. I doubt I will bother them again.

Ordered House Special fried rice and it came in a container with mainly vegetables the chicken was rubbery and there was some sort of liquid as it wasn't dry like normal fried rice dishes. It was awful. . Also order Bbq ribs in Bbq sauce and the sauce was runny and Yellow. Wongs used to be one of the best. Never going back there .

I ordered a Wongs on my way home from work, it was the best thing I did, the food was amazing, the noodles have an amazing taste, the onions in the curry are cooked perfect and are nice and crunchy and the chicken is so soft and the chips are even better they are already pre salted which is good, but I couldn't stop eating them on the way home, as I kept wanting more. All staff are welcoming and the waiting time for food isn't too long. its great how they deliver as well, its a good job they dont deliver to me as I would be eating from here very night.

Dropped in, ordered, waited reasonable amount of time, left, it was piping hot, tasted fab, and very generous amount in tray, ordered the house special with noodles, and house special with rice and some won tons, the won tons were stuffed with a prawn and seasoning, was yummy, me n my dad thoroughly enjoyed, I will deffo be back

Have bought food from here for years. Food has deteriorated. Last meal was dry and bland. If you order by phone, ignore the time they give you and go whenever you like as they will only end up cooking it when you arrive anyway

I've tried so many Chinese takeaways before and never liked any. This one is just awesome. We are vegetarian and often there are very less options for vegetarians in Chinese menu. Chow mein and veggie Singapore fried rice were just delicious and hit right spicy levels for us. There are quite a few Chinese takeaways on that street, but this one I think stands out. Will definitely order for them again. Delivery wait time was 90 mins, so collected the food.

It was fine, average... I was a bit dissapointed that they said 10 mins and after arriving 14 mins later I had to wait for a further 10 mins.

Very expensive for what we had, and the food was almost cold, the order wrong too. Shame, in these troubled times this is the area of sales where small takeaways should be excelling; delivering high quality, hot food that are what was ordered, not cheaper alternatives.

used to easily be the best Chinese in Tamworth but the last 3 or 4 takeouts I've had have all been pretty rubbish. Really dry chicken, hardly any sauce, too much salt and crispy weird rice. Please get back your old chef and ingredients!!

For us...best Chinese in tamworth.we eat from hear every week.they do get busy Fri/sat so you have to wait for upto a hour delivery ( although they do tell you this upon ordering) but it doesn't bother us, I just order a hour before we like to eat.

Was never a big fan of chineese food but after having eaten here, i changed my view. Nice food and good taste. Tried the ribs and chicken strips in garlic. They were amazing. The noodles and rice dishes were good too. Overall very satisfied. Cash only, no card.

Have used this takeaway many times in the past, so we thought that we would try it again. Big mistake, every dish from the yuk sung to the chicken chow mein tasted of greasy lard. Wongs used to be an excellent takeaway, not anymore ☹️.

Ordered a New Years Eve take out. Service was quick despite the phone ringing non stop and other customers in and out. I hope these other customers had a better meal than we did...... The sweet and sour Cantonese chicken we can only describe as a tasteless weird dish with sweet source that wasn't sweet so it was more like chicken and pineapple. The Beef chow mien had no vegetables, it was literally beef & noodles, no sauce, no vegetables - We should add that the beef wasn't very good either, thin but oddly tough. We did order a starter of chicken wings and spare ribs which come together, that in fairness was nice. However on the whole a very poor Chinese and we won't be ordering again here.

A proper old fashioned chinese. Salt and chilli Beef perfect, veg all lovely. The chips are always well cooked and the curry sauce is delicious. The service is always very friendly. My only criticisms would be that if you are told a 10 minute wait, it usually means 20, 15 minute wait, actually 25. The chow mien also has a weird texture and is a bit soggy. As someone who regularly eats at chinese take aways in Birmingham, Wongs and the entirety of Tamworth is more expensive for no real increase in quality. However, Wongs is in my opinion the joint best chinese in Tamworth, and I have waited a long time to find some decent ones.

I had the duck curry and chips, not the best Chinese curry I've had but it was eatable. I can't comment on the other food that they do but wongs is very popular. Just I was in the area thought I'd try it.

Finally found a traditional Chinese restaurant for takeaway in Fazeley. Slightly more expensive than other Chinese food outlets but the quality of the food is amazing. The taste of the food is great and I've tried a lot of the menu. They do off menu items like Singapore Chow Mein and you get consistent results. My choice for Chinese in Fazeley.

Absolutely disgusting! Not only is the lady taking orders so rude and miserable , not forgetting changing her mind on how much she charges you , today I got through half of a chicken curry before coming across a piece of metal in the sauce and also a hair!! On ringing up she stated you can have a refund if you bring the curry back. Half eaten ? And Is that it ? Never ever again will we be ordering from this 1* shambles of a Chinese

This is our local goto Takeaway Best Barbecue Pork Chow Mein for miles Loads of meat and excellent noodles We have used this place for over 20 years and the quality of the food as never change If your are local to Tamworth do yourself a favour and call.

This has got to be one of the worst takeaways I’ve ever eaten- though most went in the bin. Was recommended by our friends who live in Fazeley. Bit embarrassing for them as it was awful. Chicken curry was just dry, thick skin of a sauce which tasted of nothing but salt. Cold rice, soggy chips, salty disgusting chicken sweet and sour. I could go on and on but I won’t because it’s pointless. Just avoid!!!

Having heard good things about Wong's we thought we would try this tonight. I have to say it did not live up to expectations or the quality of other local Chinese takeaways. The sweet and sour sauce has the consistency of red sauce and no flavour, the chicken fried rice was burnt and the chicken balls were very dry. All in all a disappointment, will not use again.

Disappointing after using Wongs for several months with not the most helpful lady taking orders. Today got the dish completely wrong despite going into detail & confirming over the phone came home with inedible dish so complete waste of money. On phoning to complain lady said "sorry not my fault we're very busy & cant be expected to remember every customer's order & then put the phone down on me!!" Won't be using again I'll take my weekly custom elsewhere.

We use wongs regularly but on Sunday we ordered our regular take away but when we ate it there was hardly any meat in it and it was all rice and no sauce just not as good as it used to be

Terrible customer service. The woman is rude and screams at me because I asked for her to give me the correct sauce! She then swore she gave me the correct sauce when I can promise you she didn't. Absolutely mental. Additionally the food isnt great either. Would advise going somewhere else to avoid any drama.

Had a takeaway from here only yesterday (29th Nov 2017). I rang just before 6 and was told 40 mins, it arrived in 20 mins very hot and very fresh - all the food was fresh cooked and not reheated In short, the best takeawy we've had for ages, not the cheapest but reasonable, and very good

Terrible Service and appalling food! The women hung up on me twice for amending the order!!! If she doesnt want my order then thats fine I can find somewhere else with better staff and quality food! Also hhad asked for the vegetarian options and was told theres mix vegetables and thats it! With no explanation or attempt to help me decide!! Terrible!!
