Angel House in Lichfield

I feel so bad because you only ever review somewhere when you have had bad food. But i have never had a bad experience here. Food is tasty, if you put in the additional notes how you like something they always do it to perfection

Had king prawn and cashew nuts nuts were totally blackened and old prawns okay but only 6 no mushrooms no baby corn not worth what I paid spring rolls were not spring rolls had chicken or pork in not sure which I would never order from here again

Very poor quality food. Other Chinese/Cantonese take away are far better. We won’t be ordering from Angels House again. Chow mein was sloppy and crispy beef tasted like it was four days old.

Piping hot, fresh and absolutely delicious food. Had the satay chicken (not spicy if anyone is wondering) but so tasty, and the seseme chicken and plum. Will definitely be ordering again!

The food is usually excellent. Unfortunately a mistake was made with my order last time. My brother ordered a vegetarian sweetcorn soup. He had already eaten some when he realised that they had sent chicken and sweetcorn.

stale chips, hardly any seasoning at all on salt and pepper meals/chips .

Food was really nice and got delivered a lot earlier than it said. Leaflet says order over £20 and you get free prawn crackers, my order was almost £40 but no prawn crackers were given…

I've contacted the restaurant via email! Got bloody food poisoning! Not happy, not feeling well and very upset *update - in reply to the comment below I've got in touch with food standards, chicken was red in places and the beef was incredibly soft, very bloody in some chunks. It's not cheating to eat, its eating then realising you've been given food poisoning.

Arrived 20 minutes early, food hot and well presented, really nice food i enjoyed it, had one of the all in one meals, couldn’t eat it all so I’m sure my son will eat it when he comes home lol, delivery guy was polite and friendly. Thank you

Disappointed that the chips were missing from the order and the salt and pepper chips had very little salt and pepper. Sichuan chicken was excellent

Food was OK and served hot. curry lacked a little Heat for me but that is personal preference. Banana fritter syrup had leaked all over everything in the bag due to the cardboard sleeve having the corner cut out of it so fritters were without syrup.

the food speaks for itself... that's if you know and understand flavor.... even though there was a mistake, they quickly rectified my order.. 5⭐+

Order took almost 2 hours to get here then when it arrived items were missing (prawn crackers that they charged £3.80 for!)

Look tonight I had a delivery for the first time that wasn’t as good as normal food is usually great. So I rang them and he sent it out again and swapped it can’t fault the place to be honest. But first time I’ve had a problem like I say banging food

This place has come on a leaps and bounds tbh! I left a review over 4 years ago unhappy with the customer service but it really is one of the best take aways in lichfield and I haven’t had a bad meal there and we are huge lovers of Chinese food after ordering from most in lichfield ! Really amazing and huge portions

Ordered salt and pepper fish (delicious) Thai veggie curry (wow 5 stars 🌟) peking beef, salt and chilli chips, it was all amazing! Thank you for being the only Chinese to really cater to a pescatarian! Definitely ordering again 👌👍👍

the king prawn curry was absolutely disgusting it tasted like sugar and salt combined together I couldn't eat it I'm now put off Chinese food

It was our first time ordering we have ordered from many chinses places and paid less for the food the sweet and sour sauce smelt like gone off wine the pork balls were undercooked the chips was cold the crispy chicken had more loose batter in the tray then any chicken in them for the price I'm disappointed by the meal The delivery driver was very lovely and friendly

Wow, I’m astounded that Chinese food can be this poor! Yuk Sung swimming in soy sauce, unheard of. Singapore vermicelli with dried out chicken and pork. Sweet and sour sauce tasted like cherry. Chicken and noodle soup is my youngest son’s favourite and he couldn’t eat it. I could go on but nothing was even acceptable. I can only commend them for ruining my birthday dinner. WELL DONE YOU!

Chicken chewy And Stringy - Like Wasn’t Cooked Enough/Long Enough

Food mediocre & very greasy. Salt & pepper chicken - was hard crispy no chicken meat in it at all. More like crispy fat. It’s the last order for me from here I’m afraid. It used to be much better.

The food is normally brilliant but tonight it wasn't good at all. Beef was tough, crispy chicken was over cooked and the chips looked and tasted like they had been warmed up from yesterday.

The seaweed was in edible, the amount of sugar on it literally hurt my teeth. The prawn toast was so dripping oil and the chips were dry as though they were reheated.

Just had a very expensive but disappointing take away. The delivery driver rang the doorbell and left the food on the floor outside & the dim sum combo looked and tasted as if reheated from another day. We have used Angel House many times and so far it’s been great but this was not a great experience

Food was absolutely horrendous. These people do not know how to cook at all. The chow mein was a soggy mess and lacked any flavour, the noodles were over cooked and had a weird smell to them. The satay beef was vile, tried one small spoon of the sauce and threw it away. Aromatic duck was abysmal for the money, not what you'd normally expect from a Chinese takeaway. Chicken Yuk sung was not now its supoosed to be in the slightest. Diet coke was ordered, but they sent full fat. Do not order. Food is only suitable for landfill...or maybe thats where they got it from? You'll waste your money and regret it afterwards. Place should be shut down. Embarrassing.

Food was horrendous, how they can get away with serving food this poorly cooked, I do not understand. Noodles were lacking any sort of flavour and were cooked to the point that you can't even pick them up with a fork they were that mushy. The 'crispy' duck pancakes were not crispy, very little duck for the money, and it was chopped not shredded, and there was barely any salad for this, so not worth the money. The beef satay was inedible and we didn't even touch it. The chicken Yuk Sung is supposed to be minced, but was cubed and tasted like nothing, and they didn't include the crispy vermicelli. We ordered diet coke but were given full fat. Literally nothing in this order was even adequate...we are now cooking something else ourselves having wasted £60 on this appalling takeaway. Trust the other bad reviews, you'll regret ordering and wasting your hard earned money. The worst chinese takeaway I've ever had.

The food I received tonight has completely put me off ordering from here again. My special chow mein was watery, the noodles where far too soft and soggy my sons chicken chow mein was also soggy and watery, there was no taste, the only good thing was the meat. I can't believe I paid almost £30 for something my 8 year old daughter could of made. Never again

We’ve tried nearly all of the chineses it Lichfield at this point and my wife always prefers Angel House now. It’s a decent choice but I find most of the Chineses to be a little disappointing in Lichfield.
