From time to time we come here. It's average for a pub. Reason for 3 stars is because I witnessed the measure of my spirit was about 20 ml if not below. Not asking for a perfect 25ml but that was obviously way below the legal measure.

Felt like we had crashed a private party

We didn't eat here but had a great night with music and lots of dancing

Staff brilliant and friendly. Prices good.

It's fine, kinda dingy but not in a way I don't like. Not my first choice on a night out but I don't resent ever ending up here

Made most welcome on our visit to lichfield great atmosphere watching my home town ( northampton) playing bath in the rugby final 😀 great staff and cheap beer we will be back before Christmas

I can't rate the food as never eaten in place before but night time on weekends this was my first visit in there on this weekend. It was amazing friendly bar staff who are very polite the door team was extremely helpful excellent door staff who are decent. Anyone wants a night out on weekend this is the place.

What a dump, not visited this place since the 80s, was only there for a wedding, not going back for another 40 years at least...

A great place to watch sport or just sit down with friends for a few drinks! Lovely staff, good value for money 😀

Popped in here for a drink. Cheap and cheerful, quite busy, friendly , a DJ playing some good stuff and some people dancing. Nice to find a pub with something going on, and cheap drinks too! Stayed longer than we intended to and will go back next time we visit Lichfield.

Food is freshly made and tasted lovely but not enough of it for what you pay. Asked for a few more sandwiches they wanted £6 to make more. Service was miserable... I wouldn't book afternoon tea again.

Decent pub was really busy so service was slow but overall good place for a drink.

They do not serve cooked food. Only crisps, nuts, cold sandwiches.

Absolutely amazing! The place is beautiful and staff are super friendly, Anna was amazing, and the food is delicious. Ilove that you get a lot of food as well for the price. It's definitely not like other expensive restaurants and you only get a small amount of food. I am definitely going back.

Popped in for quick drink on sunny October morning. Lots of locals in. Halloween decorations up. Friendly lady behind bar served us quickly with a smile. Found a quiet corner inside but plenty tables outside in sun too.

Terrible atmosphere and overpriced

Well priced ... Friday nights are good fun. Pool tables are cheap 😀

Very busy place in a wonderful city. Beer was excellent. Staff were officiant. Beer prices were good. Well worth a visit if you're a drinker.

Refurbed.still got live music. Weekends.friendly relaxed atmosphere and best of all bitter £1.80 a pint.

Visited this place for the last 5 or 6 years, always a great night if you wanted a quiet drink in the snug or get up and dance to the music in the back room. It has gone right down the pan. So loud, no snug, just noisy and full of loud drunks. Ordered w vodkas with mixers, no ice..... and couldn't raste the vodka. Shallnot be returning anytime soon.

Stayed close by with a Party of 20+ .. Visited the Bar on 2 Evenings .. Locals were very Friendly, Beer excellent and Prices reasonable..Live Music, Dog Friendly, Pool Table and Darts Room.. Close to Lots of Amenities, ATM, Pizza + Kebab Shops.

One of the better Lichfield pubs with lots of music. Look for George 4th.

Drinking man's pub. Lovely location in the centre of Litchfield.

Excellent place to have a cheap beer. Can get a bit noisy on weekends but I've never seen any trouble there.

Refurbished a couple of years ago by Craft Union this is a great pub. The prices are very low and the beer is well looked after, the cheap prices attract a certain clientele but not as bad as some other pubs. There's a good selection of lagers, ciders, and spirits, but unfortunately only 2 cask ales. During the day there are times when the pub appears to resemble a crèche with unaccompanied kids sitting at tables and running around - maybe a sign of the times but annoying just the same.

Ok if you like a pub that's really a nightclub. Must be getting old, as the music was deafening. Beer was OK.

Went her for lunch it was ok food served on cold plates i know there was salad with it hence reason for cold plates. The bar had no draught cider no lemonade other drinks also not available. Would i go back NO staff were ok but thought i was in tatoo parlor with the amount on show alzo some staff sat at bar on phones also outside smoking kids screaming not a pleasant place for us.

What a pleasure it was to have a drink in this pub, the staff are all friendly, the customers (locals, are the ones that make a pub what it is,) are likeable, cask ales, sandwiches, a "proper pub" busy all the time, TV in every room (sports oriented) all in all A Crackin' boozer !! There's a back yard with covered or uncovered seating for smokers to indulge their habit, accessible from the Garrick Theatre, should you wish)

Never a dull moment really, always a good night out 👌

Very friendly staff indeed and the pub is covered in military history of the Staffordshire's which makes for a lovely drinking experience. a very good drinking emporium.

Excellent service and good quality food lovely staff.

Very nice place, friendly and efficient staff and a good choice of beers and great play to watch sport on the in-house TV's. Beer garden at the rear of the pub which also has a TV.

Whether it's for afternoon tea or for a late lunch this place the George delivers for excellent service.

Friendly and polite staff, only small area outside for seating. Had no ales available on this visit but settled for a bottle. Still enjoyed it.

Very rude manager that clearly does not have any customer service skills. Also the place had an very horrible strong smell that hit me as soon as I walked through the door. I will not be returning as this was quite frankly the worst pub I’ve ever been in.

We last joint and opted for all service. The app didn’t work. I ordered a drink whilst my friends waiting for table service it never came. Therefore we were left with one drink. As someone approached, the manager she spoke to us so rudely I cannot explain. Expressing we couldn’t stay if we only had one drink. Despite the fact she never offered to take our order. We left straight away! So disgusting. Maybe reconsider getting an app that worked!

Excellent location. Competitive prices on drink. Currently social distancing and works well. Big tv. Football matches on for those interested. Good all rounder.

First time in nice and clean and the staff were very friendly

Some of the customers were involved in their own drama but it didn't affect the atmosphere too much

Not impressed with the attitude of management on my first visit here. Did not feel welcome when coming here on a night out as me and my friends were greeted with sarcasm and hostility. Will not be coming here again.

Really poor experience, really drunk people there already by 8pm a fight broke out.

Poor service. Waited at bar while barmaid chose to ignore the fact and continued to stock glasses .wont visit again

Food cold preheated weatherspoons preheated .if go in its got people from old Sammie's bar people in there are excons been in prison or it's one of them places they let anyone in cheap booze and Ribble the optics ect and drug dealing out the back

Brilliant pub and staff and very reasonable drink prices

The Tudor frontage infers olde worlde and character but it fooled us. Inside is just a typical pub, nothing wrong with it just nothing special. The locals clearly like it as the back yard was full and very Smokey with all the cigarette smokers 😖. Check your glass too as mine was dirty and had to be swapped.
