Gravy was missing from meal. Dips were missing from meal. Food not hot.

The chicken wasn’t cooked and the wraps were burnt to a crisp and broke off. We sat in the restaurant area where there was a dogs sitting in there while eating and we wasn’t asked if it was okay. Don’t like eating round dogs squashes all into a small room and staff kept and pushing past in the chair while eating.

Fantastic Sunday roast last week. Good quality and great value. We were looked after by Justyna and her service was excellent! Definitely recommend!

Really love this local pub. If you don’t want to cook a Sunday roast, I highly recommend this place. Just fabulous.

Introduced by friends and will be regular distance visitors. 90 mile round trip. Well worth it. Food , drink, service, surroundings all superb

Went to The Hedgehog for Christmas Day dinner. The staff especially Adam, i think his name was, was very friendly and couldnt do enough for you. Food was absolutely faultless and the place is stunning. Highly recommend a visit.

We had lunch at this pub and utilised a £10 voucher as a new member. I attempted to use a 30% off voucher , but the employee stated that the code on my screenshot was not complete and would not be usable, I replied that the written code above the scannable code was clear and and very readable. She said that they could not use that code for the 40% off and to use the £10 one! I have used for years the written codes at their competitor’s and they just typed in the codes and they always worked! Very disappointed!! We also disliked our bee burgers as they were very rubbery and tough as boots, I believe that they had a high percentage of filler in them and not all beef! We will not frequent that pub ever again!

Sunday roasts here are yummy and with good portions. Service is excellent and shout out to Chloe, our table server and the bar staff who have impeccable manners!

Regular guest at the Hedgehog whilst away on Business. I have stayed at other hotels in Lichfield, but now always opt for The Hedgehog. Rooms are great, as is the food and drink. Location is very convenient. The bar downstairs and staff always give a warm and friendly welcome. Was served this evening by Chloe - always friendly and helpful! Good drinks and really good food both at breakfast and in the evening. Thank you all at The Hedgehog! 😊

A family meal in a good atmosphere. Issac was welcoming and Chloe served us at the table. An excellent team effort to make the evening enjoyable.

Chips cold, no Yorkshire pudding or gravy with the roast. Cauliflower cheese hard. unusual as we normally have great food from the hedgehog xx

Atmosphere was friendly and buoyant. Service was friendly and helpful (though fairly light touch) service charge on the bill came as a surprise and felt disproportionate. Food could have been better for the price. I had 10oz ribeye steak with a side of green vegetables. Steak was medium rare as requested but otherwise poorly cooked - under/unseasoned and no crust. Chips were excellent, perfectly cooked. Cherry tomatoes also roasted nicely. Green beans, peas and tender-stem broccoli were overcooked and had a dry yet mushy texture. Béarnaise lacked flavour - no freshness or sharpness from the herbs or vinegar. Good choice of ales and Pinot Noir was excellent. All in all a pleasant, atmospheric place to spend an evening, but food needs more consistent quality on such an expensive meal.

Matt and the team were fantastic as ever! Fabulous food and professional table service. Faultless dining experience. Zoe, Chloe, Fred, Katie, Jared and the team worked so hard on Valentines night and delivered an unforgettable night for me and the love of my life. You can always trust the staff at the Hedgehog to exceed all expectations!

I visited for a business coffee meet up. And was instantly impressed by the tasteful decor for an vintage building. I could smell the fire burning 🔥 and promptly found some seating nearby. As for my drink? I went for a an oat milk chai latte. Vegans are catered for here, which is wonderful for me. And my drink was served with all that I would expect from this lovely establishmment. With politeness, a smile and pleasant conversation. Will definitely be coming back here to for a meal for sure.

Food was ‘ok’ under-delivering against some descriptions. Beware of the sprigs of rosemary - they break off and make thorns to get stuck in your throat. The way our large party was accommodated was good The the serving staff were well presented and courteous but the guy who met us behind the bar was rude.

The food was excellent. The service was very good and our server very friendly. Lovely, cosy environment. Can’t fault anything really.

Bit underwhelmed to be honest. Slow service, average cooking at best.

Love it ere but £8.75 for a sticky toffee pudding the size of a cigarette packet accompanied by 5 tablespoons of custard sadly doesn't cut the mustard

Service by Isaac was amazing! The main courses and desserts were mouth watering. I now see why my girlfriend and her family have been coming here for well over 10 years.

Lovely food , helpful happy waiter. Could have done with a few more real fires lit in the many rooms as a very coldnight but very friendly.

I have had the fortune to visit on two occasions and I have to say the customer service is the best I have experienced at any restaurant. Justyna was our waitress and she was fantastic..!! We were a party of seven and all of us felt the same. I will be back and I shall be spreading the word.

A wonderful meal yesterday for an 80th birthday celebration. Food was great and plentiful. Our waitress was so friendly, joyfull and couldn't have been more helpful. Lovely atmosphere and added to the celebratory mood we were all in.

Eaten here a few times, always thought it was overpriced, especially starters and extras, but generally the food is cooked nice and tasty. The Service is attentive and friendly. The sharer platter was nice, if small. The halloumi fries at £4 were soft and the portion size was miniscule, and I really didn't appreciate the pot of sauce being shoved into the bowl squashing them in further. All in all, personally I think they need to offer better value for money

My fish and chips were over cooked.The fish in particular.

We went for Christmas lunch. The food was very good. The portion siz for the turkey dinner was huge. Service was very good and timely. All staff were very friendly and polite and wished us happy Christmas! The only slight hiccup was that my husband was given a different pudding to the one he ordered but he still enjoyed it.

We came to the Hedgehog for Xmas dinner , after having a heart transplant and been in hospital most of the year this dinner was meant to be celebration of Xmas and me getting better , however the dinner service was terrible the beetroot starter tastes like mud , the drink service to the table was very slow and the food service was very slow , the staff seemed unwelcome and then when we asked for a drink at 515 pm the responde we got was you know we are closing soon!!!!! Then to finish of 4 of my family has sickness in the night all who had the fish starter !!! I have emailed the manager and called about my complaint but he’s hasn’t even bothered to email or call back , totally shocking at nearly 700 pounds for a family meal

We had Christmas lunch today at the Hedgehog and thoroughly enjoyed it! The staff and atmosphere were very welcoming! The food was well presented and delicious! Will definitely consider for next year!

Come for Xmas meal food was late but unfortunately very busy but when you ask for a drink and they don’t even say last orders is a bit disappointing, on the plus side Kati was amazing serving our food. Thank you

Chose this place for a special lunch, we arrived early and the staff were so kind and helpful taking us to a table immediately. Staff we all so bubbly and knowledgeable order to service length was about right it gave us chance to chat, and the food when it came was beautifully cooked and very tasty. It was also easy to leave no hanging round waiting to pay our bill what a wonderful experience all round

We ate here a couple of weeks ago and had a great evening. It’s a lovely cozy pub and despite the fact it was busy and we hadn’t booked they found a table for us. The staff, especially the manager on duty that day were genuinely friendly and helpful. The food was delicious but their menu doesn’t have enough vegetarian/vegan options. The service was a bit slow but not to the point of complaint. The only downside for us was the price, it’s very expensive for people like us who cannot afford to eat out very often and have to be careful when choosing where to go. We have had our occasional meals out ruined by poor service and terrible food but not here and if the prices are not a problem for you I would happily recommend that you give them a try.

A short notice booking, but I didn't realise that there was a time limit on the table. However the service was extremely slow from providing the menu to bringing the sweet. I was very disappointed when time was called on the table with the presentation of the bill before the sweet was finished.

Waited over 1 hrs for food sent steak(£21.0) back as cold , and it was returned and still cold , by this time family had eaten theirs, then to get a new steak not cooked as requested. And had eaten side order while waiting.. Although they apologised it ruined evening , a discount was given but that's not what is needed, more detail to food and service from kitchen, waitress was nice but it's not her fault, we won't be going their again

Lovely pub and hotel in this beautiful city, walkable to pubs, shops and restaurants. Very big room, comfortable bed and very clean.

We come with our dog and reciced a very warm welcome. Sat next to an open fire. And provided a blanket for the dog water and treats all free of charge. The food was fantastic 😋 including the puddings and lots of drinks to choose from. Very nicely decorated, giving a very warm atmosphere. Campervan friendly if having a meal or drink. We will definitely be visiting again. 😊

The evening was a genuinely enjoyable one,a dinner for 6 birthday celebration. The ambience in the dining area was one of quiet,relaxing professionalism and the food was delicious. Particularly noteworthy was the customer service delivered by the waitress during the meal,one of attentiveness, patience, thoroughly friendly,helpful staff and a very personable experience to compliment the delicious food. A memorable meal in a room of pleasant surroundings and decor, with excellent service and a genuinely friendly atmosphere.
