I recently visited this French restaurant to celebrate my children birthday, and it was a truly exceptional experience. The food was absolutely superb, with each dish cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The service was also truly impressive, very delightful. ELLIE was attentive and friendly. Overall, we would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience, whether for a special occasion or just a night out.

Enjoyed a fabulous lunch of mussels and steak with friends- remarkable value and cooked to perfection- great service and quality food. I was at the Ivy in Exeter the day before and can honestly say the food at the London Inn was infinitely better and half the price

We shared a meal here with colleagues. The location is great being on the outskirts of Bridgwater, and the building looks and feels like a 'proper' country pub, inside and out. Staff are friendly and efficient, and we all enjoyed our meals. Good selection of local beers and the food menu changes regularly.

First time trying hubbox and will not be returning! Took my partner for his birthday and had the worst experience. my chips came out 10 mins before the mains and any of my partners food, my partners chicken was hard and inedible. We order the slaw as a side which was just raw veg with no sauce! No checkback to our table so we could raise this issue. After dinner we ordered some more drinks, my partner asked for an iced coffee without vanilla syrup as advertised which they was happy to do due to my partner being diabetic but this came with vanilla syrup - server admitted to putting syrup in due to it being ‘a long night’ no real apology given. They were getting ready to close for the night and we noticed staff collecting sauces from all the tables and topping these up with old sauce bottles and new sauce bottles - no dates of when each was opened, the sauce on our table was separated and fizzed when opened, when I mentioned this I was told they get thrown out every week, this is not the case as you could see our sauce bottle was very old! Complained, they just wanted to comp us the coffee and chips which I thought was not good enough. Almost £100 for a terrible meal, will not be returning to hubbox in Exeter.

We were actually staying in the Summer House which belongs to Juliet's Garden so it just made sense to try the restaurant and we were so glad we did. The staff were all so friendly and made a right fuss of our Cocker Spaniel. We had drinks on the terrace before our meal and then were showed to our table. The food surpassed what we expected, it was excellent, and my wife being a vegetarian it made a nice change for her to have a choice different to the normal, no vegetable lasagna on this menu. The staff were polite friendly and very efficient. we loved our first meal we booked to go back later in the week, and that meal too was excellent. It is a shame they were only doing evening meals three times a week, but we understood there was staffing issues. We would definitely recommend an evening visit, it is only a short walk out of Hugh Town.

We came to the dum post for lunch and I have to say the service and the food was top notch. Jessie and Tina were fabulous, they made us feel very welcome and there were smiles and laughs all round. I would recommend to anyone wanting a nice drink or a delicious meal. !!!

Not been to Papa's for a while before visiting lunch time today. Not too busy for a Thursday. The food is still excellent, served piping hot and in good time. We had the 'Seniors Special' which was a good sized piece of cod, plenty of chips and also included a buttered roll and hot drink. The prices are keen and the service is friendly and good. Recommended.

Service was horrendous, waitress not interested, no dialogue, overpriced, maianaise served in a refilled dirty Heinze bottle, definitely not filled with Heinze, £39 two meals and two drinks, overpriced, when we paid no conversation at all, definitely won't be going back, use to be very good a few years ago, must be new owners, avoid

The full English breakfast was clearly entirely or in part reheated in a microwave. After eating more than 6 English breakfasts in the UK this week, this has to be the worst. The French toast was excellent tho… the prices advertised outside are lower than the prices inside. There’s also a service charge when you pay.

Booked the Old Sail Loft in March for our visit over Easter, booking was confirmed, and we thought all was well when we set off from Manchester to make the 5 hour journey down to Lovely Looe...It wasn't until the day before our reservation that we noticed it was closed and a non-informative message scribbled on a blackboard outside about it being closed. I emailed the owner to check whether or not our reservation was going to happen the following night, only to receive an abrupt response saying no it wasn't...!?!?! No apology or alternative...? So basically, If i hadn't been there the day before we would've turned up to an empty/closed restaurant as they didn't have the common decency to let us know...In times of economic troubles this isn't how i would run a business if i was trying to attract returning customers... Bad practice all round...
