Wow what a fantastic place to stay, I thoughrly enjoyed our stay here. The hotel was immaculate, the room had everything we needed plus extra. They staff were extremely polite, friendly and very helpful especially Jessica on front desk, she helped us out by given suggestions on were best to eat, where to park etc. The facilities here are impeccable. The sauna, steam room and pool are very modern and relaxing. The continental breakfast had a great variety to choose from ,Nick the waiter was very efficient and was continuously replenishing and was always offering his help. The staff were always making sure we had everything we needed. IF you didn't want the continental breakfast they had a menu to pick from. The front desk staff looked after our luggage before and after we checked in to allow us to go off exploring until our room was ready free of charge. I can not fault this hotel and would highly recommend coming to stay here and I will most definitely be returning.

Comfortable rooms with good bathrooms. Great location. The inward facing (presumably cheaper) rooms face onto a courtyard that really needs a lick of paint and a tree or two. Excellent clean gym/spa area. Food and drink a bit of a weak point - like an airport bar, adequate but not great. However, the room rate for a Fri night in Bath was very good value overall.

Good facilities and location but service lacked the personal touch. Housekeeping staff in corridors ignored our presence (more than once). Bar didn’t have any atmosphere on a Friday night, only one waitress on duty serving warm white wine. Staff overall didn’t engage and spoilt the stay.

It was my first time staying in Bath, and I booked this hotel for a surprise getaway with my partner. The hotel itself is lovely, and the reception team gave us a warm welcome. Our room was modern, clean, comfortable, and quiet. Having access to the sauna, steam room and pool was a nice perk, and only the deluxe rooms include robes and slippers (or for £5 each if needed), which was a thoughtful touch. However, I was really disappointed by a few things. I have pretty severe anxiety, and our room (314) looked directly into other guests' rooms, which meant we had to keep the curtains closed the entire stay...definitely not ideal for privacy and I couldn't relax at all due to this. I also noticed that the paint in the bathroom was peeling off the ceiling before and after we'd used the room, and the carpet had visible brown stains on my side of the bed. Given the hotel's 4star rating, and how long I'd saved up and paid for this experience, I was expecting a bit more attention to detail. I'd be happy to come back if those simple expectations were met.

The room is good (standard room), cleaned daily, has a delicious breakfast, and is located 5 minutes' walk from the centre. The hotel is not busy with visitors (the first days of October); the only minus is the lack of robes in rooms; coming to the spa because of this is inconvenient, and they are not provided for a particular type of room.

The room was very nice, we got an upgrade on arrival which was appreciated. We asked for rose petals, they were beautiful and they were real. However, the room was pretty dirty. The pillows had water marks, there was some sort of large tomato stain across the bedspread and the carpet. This really took the shine off things. The facilities were nice, they're was a great range of drinks and snacks. All the furnishings looks nice but we're so hard. The chairs were uncomfortable to sit in. The bedroom was well appointed. This is an odd thing to note, but the toilet seat was so narrow and the hole so large it was hard not to fall in! The pool was very nice and quite quiet. Pretty cold compared to the Thermae Bath Spa. I would do it first rather than second if I did it again.

Stayed therefor 4 days in August 2023. Check-in was smooth and efficient but no smile. Double room with balcony. Spacious room with nice amenities but it was a bit worn out although the hotel seemed new. (Stains on the carpet and the access to the balcony was not clean). Comfortable super king-size bed. Good amenities in the room. A bit noisy because you could hear the elevator and people talking on the corridor. Nice cleaning staff. The restaurant was very nice and the staff was great. A bit disappointed by the pool because of too much chlorine The showers as well as the changing rooms were really great. Overall didn't feel the 'luxury' vibe but it was a ok.

Good sized bed(super king) with good amount of floor space. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Staff friendly and helpful. In a very good location and things are easily walked to from here. Pool is good but wouldn't be for doing laps. Sauna and steam rooms also good and well maintained but you need to schedule a time for usage for these given size. They're not the smallest I've seen but for volume of rooms and to ensure everyone can comfortably use them this rule makes sense. They also supply towels in this area which is handy.

Staying here now. Wife noticed the tub wasn’t clean on arrival —we checked in at 11:30pm—so the next day around noon after housekeeping had already been in the room wife noticed tub was unchanged. As we were going out for the day we stopped by the front desk and asked if they could have it cleaned which they said they would do. We returned to our room around 9pm and tub still wasn’t cleaned. I wiped it down with the white towel in the photo and you can see the red all over it which was in a ring all around the tub. Furthermore, when the cleaning person was here they only made one bed! Ridiculous! Worse housekeeping experience with a hotel ever.

Just had four days here, wish it could have been more! Great room, first time I had no issues with the pillows! Lots of space, nice decor. Clean, and also quiet. ( I live on the west coast of Scotland, the sound of seagulls doesn’t bother me!) The food was very good, the breakfast buffets and menu very tasty. I enjoyed the pool, and the fact that it was just a short walk into city centre. But the really outstanding feature was the friendliness of the staff, very competent and helpful, they even helped me retrieve something I forgot to pack!

We didn't stay here over night but paid to use the spa facilities. The pool is lovely, a nice temperature as its not too hot. There are different water features that you can turn on such as hot tub jets, back waterfall style feature etc. Has a sauna and steam room, as well as cold bucket, arctic shower and tropical shower. Was lovely place to spend Sunday afternoon relaxing. There were plenty of free towels in the changing rooms and the staff gave us tokens for use of the lockers. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Looked like a lovely, clean hotel in great location.

Our anniversary was great in such a lovely hotel. Our stay was fab from start to finish. Arrived super early and asked for a cheeky early check in. Massive thanks to Arthur on reception who was amazing and had our room ready for us at 1pm. Room was so lovely and clean with everything we needed. The only down side was that the water features in the pool/spa area were not working and we did not have robes in our room. Aside from that everything else was brilliant.

This was a lovely hotel in a convenient location for Bath; everything was walking distance from the hotel. The hotel itself was modern, clean and had convenient check in (2.30pm) and out (11am) times. The breakfast wasn't included in our particular deal/price and at £16.50/person/breakfast, felt a little steep but there were other options nearby. The sauna/pool/steam room were lovely; we had planned to do the Theme whilst in Bath, but given we had this on site, didn't then feel the need in the end. There is a sauna, steam room, pool (with various bubble machines around the edges), recliners around the pool and hot/cold showers. Only thing that was lacking would have been a nice warm jacuzzi as the pool water was not hot. Parking was a 5 minute walk away in Charlotte Street council car park. Cost about £50 for 72 hours, and easy to park (not a multistory). Felt safe in the area and plenty of spaces. Probably cheaper options further afield but this was easy. Only criticism of the hotel was there was only one functioning lift for the duration of our stay, which meant that going up/down was very tedious stopping everywhere/lifts often being full. Final thing to improve was we were in room 441, which was a nice size room (eg shower and separate bath) but annoyingly could hear the lift calling bell/noise every time it was pressed/arrived as it was outside our room. I wonder if perhaps this could have been muted after 11pm to minimise the noise/disturbance in addition to people talking in the corridors (which the hotel cant help).

£200 A NIGHT is over the odds for a weekend stay. • SPA?? Basement small cramped wet floors brightly lit pop music not spa music. Kids everywhere babies nappies in a bucket poolside. !!! Hardly what you would wish for if you were looking for a relaxing spa in Bath. My poor wife didn’t even go down there as I had booked it for her birthday and I explained to her I was sorry but it was not how the photos portray it. I explained all this to the reception manager? He went straight into defensive mode rather than sympathising. No apology, no compensation, just rebuttal. We have recently been to a lovely spa hotel where it was serene so a very disappointing contrast to how it should be done. Nice room. No view. Nice bathroom. No robes. Tiny wardrobe only good for max 1/2 nights.

My stay at apex exceeded all expectations, earning a well-deserved 5/5 rating. Situated just a short 10-minute walk from the train station, the convenience of reaching the hotel was matched only by the excellence of the accommodations. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, providing ample space to relax and unwind. What truly stood out was the cleanliness and spaciousness of the bathroom, a refreshing change from the cramped quarters often found in other hotels. With attractions within walking distance, exploring the city was a breeze. I would highly recommend making the trip from London for a 2D1N trip. It's an experience that's definitely worth the journey.

This hotel has a great location to the centre everything is walking distance. The leisure centre is a nice touch too you have to book in advance and you get 1 hour to use the facilities. You don't need to book the gym in advance. The roof itself was clean, good tea and coffee supplies. My son loved the rubber duck Oliver. The only downfall I would say is the water temperature of the shower on the hottest setting felt very cold, the bath was lukewarm. I had to boil some kettle water for my son not to be cold. Staff were friendly and helpful.

A more upmarket chain hotel primarily aimed at the corporate market. Quite a few families staying over half term, probably attracted by the swimming pool. Our superior room was spacious and looked like it was recently refurbished. A bit disappointed not to have extra seating as there is room. Friendly attentive staff. Good location a short walk from the main pedestrianised area. Minor issue with no decaffeinated coffee at breakfast. Had to be ordered from the waitress and I'd nearly finished breakfast by the time it arrived. Why not just have a few sachets on the tea/coffee table ?

Recently made an overnight visit to the lovely City of Bath, and decided to stay at The Apex - with an early room option. We were upgraded to a family room - very spacious indeed and with a view of Green Park. The bathroom was an absolute delight - I luxuriated in the tub! Our room was very nicely warm and lovely and quiet. Breakfast was a treat - the portions were perfect and the ingredients very tasty. All topped off with table service that was prompt and friendly - even though the restaurant was very busy. The Apex is clean and contemporary and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay.

The room was nice but I found my bed linen dirty, which is not nice in this high end hotel room level. The room itself was large enough for 2 people and had a nice balcony view of the city. The staff was friendly but the pool was a nightmare, so overcrowded and we left after 10 minutes as the floor was so dirty as many people was walking barefoot without showering first. Also, I don’t understand why you say people to book a time slot to use the pool if then nobody checks how long people actually stay. I would suggest reserving some time slots for adults only, unfortunately was really unpleasant hearing children screaming and that made the experience not relaxing at all.

Great hotel that simply ticks all boxes. We stayed here with our 8 m/o baby. Upon arrival, they told us that we got a free room upgrade, which is always nice, of course. The rooms are spacious and clean. It was lovely to have a bath in the family room, as it's easier to wash our baby. It is great that the family room has a separate shower for the parents. The beds are comfy, the air quality is good and the room is soundproof. The breakfast is also great. They have a solid high chair for children, fresh fruits, muesli, toasts, juices, etc. On top of that, you can order things a la carte, like scrambled eggs or a sourdough toast with avocado and poached eggs. They also make the coffee fresh for you instead of a machine. I totally recommend the breakfast. The pool and spa were better than I expected. They have a traditional wooden sauna and a steam room. Also, other sauna facilities like clean towels, a cold water bucket, an Arctic cold & tropical cold shower, and a water tap to stay hydrated. Then, we have another good point. We asked if we could stay until the big nap of our baby would end (2pm). The staff allowed us to stay until noon in the room and then provided us access to a conference area where our baby could sleep in peace. We really appreciate the extra mile that the hotel staff takes, so the guests can have the best stay. Therefore, a convincing 5 stars. I only have one point for improvement, although that might be a point of improvement for the UK legislation. The baby cot had a very weird mattress. It's not really a mattress, but more a plank with a tiny bit of cushion on it. We complained about it, and the staff told us that apparently, in the UK, it's forbidden for hotels to put proper mattresses in baby cots. So, if you're a foreigner and want your baby to sleep comfortably, bring your own cot to the uk. :)
