Enjoyed a lovely bacon and egg filled sourdough toasted bap. Lush! Shared a scrumptious Ramble Jack with hubby. Nice clean surroundings. Friendly young staff.

This is a small friendly restaurant with delicious food would also recommend it as good value too. We r will certainly be returning

Found this place by chance and stopped for a light lunch. Staff are professional and attentive without being intrusive. From an interesting menu I selected Duck Pate with plum relish, warm toast & green leaf salad. Beautifully presented and the best pate I have tasted in a long while (possibly ever). I enjoyed every aspect of my visit; even the music, which is rare. To quote the Terminator "I'll be back".

Ordered medium rare Rump Steak and it was cooked to perfection and the Tallow gravy was sublime. The meal was outstanding as was their selection of cask conditioned ales. All in all, 10 out of 10.

Lovely place for lunch! Wide selection of lunches including filled croissants or freshly made breakfast wraps and an amazing selection of homemade cakes!

These comments are confined to a South African themed evening. It is possible that a qualified chef works during the day hence the enthusiastic reviews elsewhere. Frankly we were taken for mugs. The South African theme decor was confined to two flags attached to an unlit lamp on our table. Not even the background music appeared to be South African themed. The menu was extremely limited and was pre-publicised. So you would think that the menu choices would be available. Just three menu choices: beef or oxtail curry or an extremely over priced platter. There was no beef curry available despite the fact that there were no more than 10 other customers in the cafe and we had prebooked and been forced to part with £16 deposit. Had this not been  the case we would have probably left without delay after bring told that no beef was available. Obviously the chef could not be bothered to go to the butchers. After a shared, tiny bowl of biltong the platter arrived consisting of half a cheese and tomato toastie, four tiny pieces of boerwurst (each piece was the size of half an average finger), some maize meal served in a tangy sauce and two small twisted burnt lamb chops. These were so brown that you could not differentiate between fat, bone and meat. This platter cost a whopping £18!!. My score is generous in the circumstances and I advise other potential customers to avoid being taken in by the cafe's hype on social media. The host spent a lot of time that evening laughing, probably at our expense.

Popped in for lunch after walking the dogs at Steps Bridge, a truly traditional village tea room, a warm welcome, nothing was too much trouble, small, select menu of panini’s, jacket potatoes, cakes and afternoon tea’s, all freshly prepared to order, absolute delight of a find, will visit again

Lovely little bakery in Bude City Centre, fantastic staff with a fantastic atmosphere, options to eat inside as well as out (which is helpful for dog owners), very reasonable prices and probably the best sausage rolls I've ever devoured 😁

We went for lunch at The Caradon Inn for the first day that their new lunch menu was launched. There was an excellent choice of pub staples as well as a specials board. I opted for the steak cobbler and my wife opted for the a pie from the special board. The food itself was wonderful, although the large portions means that the tempting looking desserts had to be given a miss. Excellent service from Sam.

A good caring space with books, cards and excellent food/drink at reasonable prices. Such a pity that there is not enough resources (volunteers and cash) to keep it open.
