On a Thursday. Fantastic meal 2 steaks for £20! We had rump. Great atmosphere. I cannot sing praises of chef enough. Lots on a plate also.

Visited here for a Sunday roast on 9th June with another couple. All I can say is Wow what a fabulous roast! The meat on my plate was half a cow, so much and so tender it melted in the mouth. It came with huge potatoes and large Yorkshire pudding. My hubby and friend had the roast pork which was delicious and our other friend had the garlic chicken, all served on hot plates. So flavoursome, the average meal is huge so be prepared. The manager Sarah was very friendly and accommodating, service exemplary. Two of us had desserts, one apple crumble the other a lemon and white chocolate cake. Delicious. If going, book in advance so not to be disappointed, it’s a very busy little pub, and a popular pub shows how good the meals are speaks for itself. My sister goes to their steak nights there and gave glowing reports, that’s why we thought we would try it. Wasn’t disappointed, fab, thank you The Caradon Inn.

This was a welcoming, friendly locals pub. Menu had a huge choice and staff very accommodating. Our meals were outstanding, well cooked and presented beautifully. My husbands fish and chips was incredible, enormous! My plaice was lovely too. Welcomed our dog and would highly recommend this pub , advise to book table.

We came here for the Sunday roast and it was amazing. Landlady was extremely friendly and accommodating and the food Was exceptional. The roast beef was amazing and so was the caramel fudge brownie. Would visit again next time we are in the area.

We were treated to Sunday lunch at this Inn by our cousin who lived locally. What a great place. The weather was on the cold side, but the Inn was warm as was the welcome. We ordered some drinks and were shown to our table. We ordered our food which arrived quickly. The best roast beef dinner we have had for years, and at a great price! Thick slices of beef, amazing Yorkshire pudding, crisp roasties and a selection of vegetables in a rich gravy. The host and staff could not do enough for us. If we did not live in Essex, I would be a frequent visitor to this Inn.

We found this gem of a pub on our way back from our hike up to the cheeswring and the hurler stones. Great Sunday roast on offer with beef and ham. Plenty of veg and great gravy a truly scrumptious Dinner. Staff attentive and welcoming.

We went here as a group of friends and all were disappointed with the food and service. We felt like this pub would be great if you are a local, but for anyone that doesn’t dine here regularly you’re basically ignored. Your money is definitely worth more if you’re a local in the landlady’s eyes.

Really disappointed after reading the great reviews. We arrived at our booked time, and subsequently waited 20mins to get a menu, and then the same again to have our order taken. It wasn’t particularly busy, the lady who I presume was the owner just seemed to be chatting to regulars. Our breaded mushroom starter was nice in fairness, My steak was meant to be medium and was at best very well done, and the peppercorn sauce was like someone had dropped the peppercorn pot in the sauce! No staff came anywhere near us let alone asked us if it was ok, so no chance to feedback or notice I’d left most of mine. It seemed pointless mentioning it after the fact when we went to the bar in end to pay. I’m sure it’s a lovely pub for locals

Have to agree -hidden gem! Amazing gem! We saw an ad for an offer on Facebook about 6 weeks ago. It was so good that first time, we come every week now. Staff are so lovely - always on a Thursday the same bar lady and waitress who I think is the landlady. Both super warm, welcoming, funny and lovely. We always have the same order and we feel like local regulars now - don't need a menu as they know what we have. I cannot recommend this pub enough - please come here you'll be glad you did! We are glad we found you!

We moved here 2 years ago but life has caused a delay in finding this hidden gem. We don’t eat out much as we are both foodies and enjoy cooking so quite often become rather disappointed when we pay for food we could have done better at home. So what a delight to have a day off and a really friendly and scrummy roast dinner last weekend. Fabulous homemade Yorkshire pudding, beef that cut like butter and was a chunk rather than a wafer thin slice. 3 veg and roasties for £13.50. Now we know we want more. But gets busy so best reserve to avoid disappointment.

The menu is not extensive but the choices will leave you needing to go back for a second if not third visit. I had the duck and hubby had the lamb and we swapped halfway through. Usually one dish is the better but we both agreed they were fantastic. Found by chance on holiday but will be back and will recommend to anyone coming to the area

The best pub in Liskeard for quality Sunday lunch of exceptional value cooked to the highest of standards by staff who are both friendly and very helpful. You can be assured that you have eaten a filling meal of quality when ordering from this pub.

We thought we would try the two for £20 steak night and we were certainly not disappointed! Choices of steak, chicken, gammon and a vegetarian option with lots of sides. The rump steak was tender and perfectly cooked as requested. Fresh cooked chips, onion rings, delicious buttery mushrooms and perfectly soft roasted tomatoes all with beautiful green peas. The deal was a bargain for what we got for dinner and we were both very impressed with the quality of the food as well as the quantity given for the bargain price. There was a good selection of puddings available with a few homemade options. They had us at homemade ‘millionaires cake’ so had to try it and boy are we glad we did. It was a large square of cake served warm with custard or other options and was a delicious ending to a great meal. We will be back for the normal menu as well as any other deal nights they have. Great local pub with really friendly staff/owners- please support to keep it!

We went on steak night. Our party all had the rump steak which was perfectly cooked for each of us. Portions were a good size and we had a very enjoyable meal in a friendly atmosphere. Afterwards, three of us had Belgian waffles, while another had the lemon tart which were all thoroughly enjoyed. Plates completely emptied by all of us. Will be back soon.

What a super friendly family run pub. The food was excellent with very good portions, choice and price! We were a large party split over 2 tables and each table was served separately which was not a problem. The staff were friendly and efficient in their order taking and service.
