Quite possibly the best value for money and one of the most delicious meals on Scilly. Hidden on the hill, great views but more importantly great value, scrumptious food made with love. The meal I’d recommend is the veggie burrito which comes with chips & salad - only £11 for so much fab grub. You won’t be disappointed! Enjoy.

This place is the best for food on St Martins and should be open in the evenings at least 5 nights a week. The food is perfect and we try to go as much as we can when we stay on the island. The staff are super friendly and everything is reasonably priced. Everyone should try a Little Arthur Salad before they leave and one of their cakes. Lovely views over Par Beach and just a great holiday vibe! Also everyone MUST try a cocktail!

Little Arthur was recommended to us so many times we had to visit and we were not disappointed! Most of Scilly is a ‘gastronomic desert’ (as described by my late grandfather) so it was really refreshing to experience fresh and delicious food, much of which is locally grown in the island. They offer plenty of vegan options too!

A gem of a place - excellent lunch, we had the ploughman’s, Cornish platter and a bowl of chips between 3 - which was plenty! Wasn’t stingy on the bread and cheese either. Cup of coffee was good too. It was a clear day - we sat outside on the picnic tables enjoying the view. Service was quick and super friendly. Worth the walk for sure.

Another food review, after a wander round the island we stopped for lunch, I’m glad we called ahead to book our garden bench (we wanted to eat outside) as when we arrived it was the only table left and another group we’re headed towards it only for them to look disappointed when they saw the reserved sign (with my name on). Choice of lunch options was large, everything freshly made and when they arrived the plates big enough to wonder if we were going to be able to eat it all….dont worry the quality was excellent so we had no issues there. The location was brilliant and the best place to relax before wandering down to the dock for the boat back to St Mary’s

As the weather was terrible on the day we were visiting St. Martins, we were very glad this cafe was open and had a spare table for us. There were lots of other people who had been there for hours as it was raining really heavily outside. We had veggie burgers and some drinks - the rum cocktail with local rum was delicious and very boozy. The roof had gorgeous grape vines growing across it and other people were saying how nice it was to go here for dinner (although it sounded like you needed to book). We'd have sat outside for the views if the weather was better.

Hopeless. First up lack of signage from main drag in higher town, baring in mind we were actively searching for the place. After stumbling across it, waited for a seat and were given a menu. Ordered crab, were told no crab, order a ploughman’s, no Ham! Basically the menu consists of crab and ham options, without this you are limited to a cheese sandwiche or Egg!! My son ordered a chocolate milkshake, this was also unavailable, re ordered a strawberry, to be told this was off also, staff then seemed disgruntled that we opted to not eat (surprisingly as most of the menu was off) and just have drinks. Waste of time, save your legs and eat elsewhere. Plenty of options on the island that don’t involve a mamouth trek and disappointment.

We have been to the Scillies many times and when on Saint Martins a stop for lunch at Little Arthur's is a must. The cafe is set back on the hillside with a commanding view of the beach and Saint Mary's beyond. In respect of food I ordered hummus and my wife ordered crab pate. Both dishes were clearly homemade and came with beautiful soft bread and a mixed salad. I particularly single out the attention to detail. The salads came with a flower petal decoration and even the ice cubes in my wife's drink contained petals. Little Arthur's cafe, St Martin's, Isles of Scilly. I've never written a review before. My daughter has offered to post my review for me. During our stay on St Martin's we made 3 visits to little Arthur's cafe in Higher town. The service and food were excellent on each visit. Tea and cake served outside at the picnic benches over looking Par beach made a perfect start to our holiday. They always have a selection of gluten free cake on offer. The barmbrack fruit loaf was delicious, no need for butter on this moist fruit loaf. Monday is take away pizza night. The veggie pizza was easily the best pizza I've ever had. Lots of homegrown roasted veg in a cheesy, tomato sauce. Again gluten free pizzas were available. Our last visit, for this holiday, was lunch on our last day. We came to St Martins for our anniversary, and the first night we ate at Little Arthur. This was not our first time eating at Little Arthur, however, it was the first evening meal we'd had there. We were blown away by the service, the atmosphere and the quality of the food. A great selection of drinks, and some amazing cocktails. We both had mini crab cakes for our starters, and these were just perfect - seasoned to perfection, and with a really interesting and delicious side salad. We also both had a burger for our main course. We've had burgers all over the world, but this was like no other burger I've eaten. It was as if someone had diced up fillet steak for beef tartare, and cooked it as a burger. The meat just melted in your mouth, and was absolutely full of flavour. The chips were like fried puffs of air, super crispy, and absolutely delicious. For pudding I chose the gooseberry flan, and my husband had blackcurrant cheesecake. These were both amazing. We've recommended Little Arthur Cafe & Bistro to family and friends who are coming to the Isles of Scilly in the near future, because it's certainly somewhere we know they'd love to go, and we'll definitely be back!

Pre-ordered the braised beef pie, and, man, it was so good, so tasty, so tender......just as good a pie as it could be.What amazed me is that beef came from just down the road, the veg from the farm itself and some of it was taken from the ground that morning.Sometimes, you are faced with food so delicious and memorable, that it is hard to find the superlatives to describe. So give them a ring to book a table (essential), eat and enjoy.Oh and the staff, are friendly, chatty and knowledgeable (thank you Megan, apologies if I have got your name wrong).A great restaurant with some great food.

Tucked away up a long, dusty path is this hidden gem that opens up its single door to delight seasonal visitors.Arthur’s bistro is set up in a converted outhouse with an intricate ivy ceiling that immediately transports you into an exotic eating experience. The staff were welcoming and attentive throughout. The food menu was limited (which is a good sign) and we were requested to preorder our mains when making the booking to facilitate the service, which was not a problem! The crab cakes were a hit, and we enjoyed the spinach pie vegetarian option too. The best way to describe the food is homely, as good ingredients are not over complicated. St Martin’s is small, however it could be easy to miss this bistro if you are exploring by foot when you arrive as it is a 10 minute walk into high town from the quay. We recommend that you don’t miss out!
