Believe the hype, been recommended this place a few times, finally managed to drag myself in there and I can't say enough good things about my experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home as soon as I walked in. The parking situation was surprisingly great, which is always a plus when your driving a van, also a few other shops nearby to browse if you like bikes, motorbikes 👍 Now, let's talk about the food! I tried the pulled pork scotch egg, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked with a wonderful flavor. The boss bun with marmalade was a delightful surprise, bursting with sweetness and satisfaction. To top it all off, I indulged in a flat white that was strong and expertly made. All the breakfast and lunch food looked fantastic. The variety of cakes and pastries available is impressive, and I can't will be going back to try more. Overall, Da Bara Bakery is a gem that I highly recommend and I won’t be able to drive the A30 without stopping at it.

Called in here on a recent stay in Cornwall, we’d seen reviews of the cinnamon buns and can confirm they are delicious. Really nice coffee too, and the decaf coffee was especially good. Lots of cafes don’t do a decent decaf but Da Bara really does. This will become a regular stop on our trips to Cornwall.

Glad we managed to stop off here during our stay in Cornwall as we love a cinnamon bun! Cute, very popular cafe despite its unusual location on an industrial estate. Great selection of sandwiches, pastries, cakes, bread, hot and cold drinks, and chutneys etc. to buy. You can eat in or takeaway. Thoroughly enjoyed the Big Dave (sausage patty, bacon, avocado, fried egg, mayo, sriracha) and the vegan sausage roll rivals Greggs' - great middle and pastry thickness. Coffee tasted lovely and huge bonus that dogs are allowed in the cafe as well.

We have been to the De Barra bakery quite a few times. Sometimes just to get bread/pastries, which are lovely (best sourdough around in our view), but also for breakfast. In short we think the food is lovely having been cooked while you wait (so not stood around under a heat lamp). Well worth a visit !

Amazing bakery. We came here on the off chance one morning and had a bacon sandwich, I can say it was one of the best I’ve ever had and I’m a connoisseur! Well cooked bacon, with a mix of back bacon and streaky on a warm crusty roll. Generous with the bacon too which was rare these days. Also their sourdough bread was amazing, again one of the best ones I’ve had and they slice it too. Wish we lived closer as I’d be here every day.

Goes without saying the food was excellent. However, I’m more compelled to review as I want to give 5 stars to the staff and the service they give. Advertised everywhere as breakfasts until 11.30 and lunches from 11.30am. We arrived about 11.45. Chose a table. Breakfast menu was still on the table stating breakfasts until 11.30am. No sign of a lunch menu anywhere. One of the serving staff came over and took the menu away and told us somewhat abruptly that breakfasts were finished so we asked for a lunch menu please. She said she would bring one over. She didn't. At 11.58 we went to the kiosk and asked for the lunch menu again (remember, everywhere stated lunches from 11.30) to be told that they weren't starting lunches until 12.00. As there was only 2 mins to go before 12 she rather reluctantly gave us a lunch menu but told us we couldn't order until the kitchen was ready to take orders and she didn't know when that would be (so clearly not 12 at all). So it was a case of lunch will start when lunch starts whenever that might be! We were sitting quite near the open kitchen window and could hear the chefs' colourful language which wasn't nice. Tbh we should've walked away there an then but stuck it out believing that we would soon be able to place our order. At one point she went to the kitchen window and asked the chef when she could start taking lunch orders. I wasn't sure if he answered "4 to 5 minutes" or "45 minutes" - the optimist in me hoped it was the first. Shortly after that the chefs left the building and went off for their break and came back 30 mins later and it was a good ten mins after that before lunch orders started to be taken so it was indeed "45 mins" that I had overheard. Fair enough, the guys are entitled to a break, and may have had a busy breakfast service, I get that - but what I do not condone is not keeping customers informed. She could've and should've come over to us and told us that there would be a further delay of 45 mins but she didn't. We sat there like lemons from 11.40 until 12.45 before being allowed to even order lunch that was advertised as being available from 11.30. Lunch was good when it came about 15 mins after we ordered it so about 1pm but was definitely not worth waiting over and hour and a quarter for. We had intended buying some bread, cakes, pasties etc. to take back with us but decided not to give them any more of our custom and time so left after we had eaten. We weren't even offered complimentary drinks or anything while we were being kept waiting nor apologised to as we said goodbye on our way out. I got the distinct impression that all was not well within the "team". People who arrived after we did either left or just had coffee and cake etc. none ordered lunch - perhaps they had been here before and knew it was futile or perhaps they had been given a more realistic idea of how long the wait for lunch was. They would be better to change their times to show a break between breakfast service and lunch service when only coffees/pastries etc. are available. I will not be returning or recommending this place which is a great shame as it looks so good, promises a lot and seriously fails to deliver.

Clearly built for tourists, Da Bara in the Garden would be at its best in fine sunny weather. The bread and pastries are very good and the coffee is acceptable. I've only discovered Da Bara Bakery recently, and I think I will be a regular customer! I've heard so many positive comments from friends locally that I knew I just had to try it for myself. On Valentines Day, I had my first Da Bara experience and I bought two cinnamon buns and some shortbread for my boyfriend and I to enjoy during our walk in the woods! The cinnamon buns were REALLY nice, and much bigger than I expected them to be, so I will definitely be treating myself to some more of those! And the shortbread was lovely too, and really chunky - not like the thin pieces that other cafes and shops sell. The onsite cafe at Da Bara HQ smells amazing when you enter the building so next time I'm passing, I will be stopping off to try their coffee!

We always make the Da Bara visit the last thing we do on holiday before we head home. We love their delicious bread and we always take several home with us. What saddened and disappointed us today and it’s not the first time, is the lack of friendliness. A quick stop of here for a Veggie breakfast skillet. A good range of options and plenty of choice. Two large rooms decked out with a cool, eclectic mix of tables and chairs. Flat white excellent, skillet super tasty although a few less potato's and a few nice mushrooms would have made it a touch lighter! However all good and the potatoes were very tasty.
