We went for pizza the 1st evening while camping and then breakfast the following morning. Amazing food at a good fair price, loads of amazing bike gear and bikes. Lovely atmosphere 👌 great staff, everything cooked fresh.

Stopped here on our way home from holiday. So glad we found it, friendly staff, good coffee and breakfast bap! Well worth the additional minute off the main road for a leg stretch and a snack!

Lovely Bike shop and Cafe/bar the service was brilliant. The lady serving us was super helpful and friendly. We had a lovely Veggie/Vegan Pasty. My daugheter was chuffed with her Biscoff Hotchocolate with Dairyfree cream. We would certainly come again next time as they also do bike hire. Thank you!

What a convenient location. We arrived one day to put up our tent and stopped here for a drink, my partner was in a different world and was easily distracted by the bikes and the shop. The drink options were varied and the location was great, with ample parking / safe bike storage. We returned the next day for tea and a cake and were not disappointed, they offered gluten free and vegan options too. Would definitely recommend if you're passing and it's perfect for any cyclists. Service wasn't the fastest but worth the wait.

We have passed this place many times en route to Cornwall and decided to stop off. We had no expectations other than getting a coffee. Wow!! What a surprise when we went in. Great atmosphere, lovely dining area with bike section to look around. The loos were clean and modern. Better than most! We ordered a beef pasty (veggie alternatives), and it arrived hot out of the oven. Super delicious. Tea comes in a pot, a big tick from me! We saw the pizzas on offer which looked equally delicious. We will now be stopping here every trip!

This is a great place. Good coffee and local ales, there’s a big screen for watching cycling and a nice garden. Campsite adjacent. If you’re planning a big walk or bike journey factor in this cafe as place to stay. Quite unique and very welcome addition.

Stopped off for a light lunch mid week whilst walking Granite Way. Menu disappointing as no green vegetables or salad anywhere on menu. Ordered pizza. Sad looking over priced pizza arrived although did appear to be freshly made. Good place to stop if all you want are carbs and a drink...oh, and bike bits!

To be fair they were already fixed by Josh in super quick time (he knows his stuff does Josh) but the place invites you to linger. I will probably make frequent visits now. Nice one- thank you so much.

A colleague told me about the amazing take away pizzas available from the P&P - we decided to try them on Friday night and they didn't disappoint! The chap serving misheard me and thought I'd said margarita with onions, when actually I'd asked for olives. When I pointed this out, he offered to re-make it for me. I said not to worry so he gave me a packet of olives instead. Great food and lovely staff. Thank you Pump & Pedal!

4 of us sat together and ordered in pairs. First 2 pizzas arrived , no cutlery or serviettes. The granite pizza barely had any cheese and the chicken was dryer than a desert ! The other 2 pizzas arrived 15 minutes after the first couple finished there’s. They were offered cutlery but no serviettes . One of the party joined the queue to order an additional garlic pizza and by the time it was there turn they were told no more pizzas as they finished at 7-30 .. bearing in mind it’s now 7-32 , we’re already paying customers and there was no one else behind her in the queue . Having spent nearly £50 inc drinks this wasn’t really acceptable. To add insult to injury a party of cyclists arrived at 7-50 had obviously pre ordered and had fresh baked pizzas delivered to them outside . Had we just walked in off the street to be refused we would have understood and maybe a sign saying last pizzas orders 7-30 in an establishment that closes at 8 would be helpful!

I regularly ride the Granite Way,this time with my son and his friend who are on an activity adventure from Australia. I decided it was time to pop into The Pump and Pedal for coffee and cake which was lovely. We sat outside in the garden where there was plenty of shade, there is also a wonderful grassed are for camping. Inside what was once the Presley Moor PH we found a great selection of bikes both including ebikes supported by a proper service and repair facility. All this was on offer with friendly service,so we’ll worth a visit.👏

Stayed in Lyford at the weekend and biked the Granite Way to Okehampton and back. Called in here for coffee on the way, sat outside in their garden in the sunshine. Went in to order coffee, really nicely renovated with a bike shop inside! Friendly staff and nice coffee. Food menu was limited but they do a pizza night on a Friday. Wished we'd gone back for that. Will do it next time though!

Staying at the campsite next door we decided to treat ourselves to a meal out and being right on the doorstep The Pump and Pedal was the perfect choice. Due to a limited diet my husband and I shared a Hot stuff Pizza and cheesy Garlic bread which were cooked perfectly. There was a good choice of drinks and my husband really enjoyed one of the local ales and there was plenty of spirits, beers and ciders to chose from. Handy use of space with the shop and pub all rolled into one and although the weather wasn't great we could see there was ample seating outside to enjoy your food and drinks in the sun.

Best pizza I have had eating out for years. My husband makes fantastic pizzas at home, and this is the first place in the UK I've found that is as good as his. Generous, quality ingredients in toppings, but firm crispy base, not sloppy or overloaded. Very friendly staff, situated in funky bike shop with a little bar. You can eat in or take out. Plenty of veggie and meat options.

Came in for Sunday roast and food was 10/10, best roast we have had for quite a while. What lacked was the service. We booked for 3pm and whilst we appreciate we entered at a busy time wrapping up peak time, service received wasn’t great from the off. One particular server seemed to be in quite a mood and was remarkably blunt “no” when we asked questions about getting some extra yorkshires (which we were a bit surprised the pork meal didn’t come with, but our fault for not reading the menu properly!) Plus someone seemed to think it was a great idea to loudly polish/sort out the cutlery at the bar, which was right next to our table, making conversation quite difficult and picked up by all 4 members of our party. Shame as food was amazing and would go back, but service lacked. 3pm bookings just as important as 12pm as all paying the same!

The restaurant was recommended to me and did not disappoint. First class, friendly service and excellent food. The online menu seemed limited but there were plenty of other options on the specials board.

Beautiful place and restaurant. The only issue is, when choosing a piece of steak, we were told that the only way chef would cook it, is the only way chef would eat it. Which meant rare. I don’t like rare, and my husband hates it. We came to a compromise. Unfortunately when served, it wasn’t rare, it was raw. This cost £100! I just wish that I had been served food that I enjoyed eating. Unfortunately I won’t return. We have supported this establishment and the chef, but we felt that we just weren’t listened to. Indeed we were told next time the chef would only cook to his desire for each cut. It’s a bit of a liberty, especially when you try to support local. Maybe listen to your customers.
