Yet again this place nailed it. From the lovely welcome and atmosphere in the pub, incredible food and impeccable service. This is my go to local pub. This time we went all out had three courses each and spent most of our Sunday here and cannot think of any better way to spend a Sunday. Thank you to Sarah and family for getting it so right, back soon!

Had a lovely lunch here with a couple of friends for his birthday. Really good home cooked food and a cosy pub with a log burner. Lovely landlady serving us. Will be going back soon. We went for a delicious Sunday roast today and still the friendly cosy pub it was the last time we came. Will definitely be going again, good price and a good menu to choose from. Celebrating our dear friends 60th we ended up here and what treat! So wonderful to find this beautiful pub full of local characters, dogs and good atmosphere. The owner was a delight, the beer kept well and the wine was great. We ordered food - it was super - really tasty pub food but seriously the most delicious chips - what a suprise - real handmade chips!!! We’re coming back even though it’s miles out of way - it will be worth the drive!

What a great local pub! We were staying just up the road for a two day mid-week break. The Olde Plough Inn was the only place available to have dinner at. To be honest based on the outside appearance we were rather uncertain as to what we were going to experience. Only going to comment on the food and service. We booked as we had no idea if it got busy and it is quite small. Right decision because for a mid-week night it did become busy. Our food was absolutely delicious, everything cooked/prepared from scratch including the coleslaw! We did not have to wait too long between ordering and being served. Unusual for me I was unable to finish my meal as it was so big. No room left to try one of their puddings. The cost was reasonable. We genuinely could not find fault with anything. We were made to feel welcome by the landlady. If you are staying in Bere Ferrers be sure to visit the pub for something to eat. We would definitely return if in the area again.

Shambles of a place. Outside dirty, unkempt, front area full of weeds, large dumpy bag full garden rubbish and other. Random ash tree growing out of left side. Re- rendered bit by front door still not painted after months. Why not spend even an hour making this pub look clean and inviting? Went elsewhere as this was not inviting.

Definitely a trend in how I rate gluten free restaurants, but for someone with coeliac disease, I cannot stress enough how fantastic an entirely gluten free restaurant is for us. Despite the not let me just say the food was still AMAZING. Lovely Yorkshire puddings that come with the roast and I am glad I randomly found this place. The food is good despite it being GF so not just gluten free people need to go. Recommended to everyone. The staff were also lovely, welcoming and knowledgable. The whole place also had a classic local pub feel. All 8 of us that dined were more than pleased.

Can I just start by saying the quality of the food is very high , however tonight's experience completely soured our evening there, and we will never be returning. We had just settled down with our drinks in the corner next to the fire eagerly waiting for our roast , when 3 adults , 2 young girls ( one a baby ) and a bull dog came loudly into the pub . After getting their drinks they sat down , but for some reason 1 of the men decided it would be a good idea to stomp around the pub swinging the screaming girl around and shouting at the top of his voice . This was constant and was trying to attract attention which he achieved. The dog who was not on a collar or lead ,decided to camp out next to us slobbering as wanted our food , and was not called away by them to leave us in peace , they were also all openly vaping and didn't give a damm about anyone else there . Unfortunately it got worse when both men decided it would be a good idea to put the baby in between them , lifting their tops up exposing their bare chests , touching themselves inappropriately, sticking their tongues in each others ears whilst taking selfies. We tried to blank it out but the noise being made was unbearable, and we couldn't finish our food quick enough . These people seemed to know the lady behind the bar as mentioned her name , unfortunately she seemed to turn a blind eye to it all , which must have been hard to do as they were right near her . When we left I felt I had to go back and ask to have a word with her outside , she seemed shocked but to be honest I don't believe her , as you could not miss what was going on . We won't be returning, which is a shame as the food is great but I'm shocked at what I saw and the woman behind the bar seemingly condoning it .

Found this pub online when looking for somewhere to go for Sunday lunch, they managed to fit us in and we weren’t disappointed. This cozy pub is set in a small Village, the lovely lady behind the bar who i presume was the landlady was so welcoming and helpful as soon as we entered the pub. There is a lovely menu but when we were offered brisket for Sunday roast it was an easy decision. The chef smokes the brisket and chicken and we are informed the ribs as well (which we will return for soon). When it arrived there was plenty of delicious melt in the mouth brisket, lovely crispy roast potatoes, a large yorkshire pudding and 6 different beautifully cooked vegetables along with a jug of gravy and some horseradish in a pot. After we finished we were offered home made profiteroles or cheesecake, we both had the cheesecake which was lovely. The meal was really good and as i said we will definitely be returning and recommending to friends. If you haven’t been here please book a table and go you wont be disappointed.
