Pickled Frog in Wiltshire

We’ve popped in a couple of times now. First time was just a random run in out of the rain when we saw dogs were allowed, and were pleasantly surprised. The venue is bigger than it appears, with much more seating upstairs. We came last month with my 2 year old grandson as well as the dog, because we knew what to expect. It’s great to find tapas dishes, as it’s brilliant to share little bits between us especially with the toddler. Also great you can have a half bottle carafe of wine; which is rare in England these days. If you like an informal, relaxed brunch or lunch with attentive friendly staff, and able to take your 4 legged buddy, then this is definitely one of the great places to go in Salisbury.

Really lovely place, food was excellent and the staff were very accommodating and nice. Very comfortable with a vibrant atmosphere.

Went with my daughter and loved it! I had a Sex on the beach cocktail which was spot on, we ordered 3 tapas each; spring rolls, sole goujons, panko prawns, mozzarella sticks and a side each of chips. Really generous portions, piping hot, delicious! The panko prawns were my favourite, I could’ve eaten a bucketful! The staff were attentive and friendly, would totally recommend and will definitely return.

Warning Very Dangerous place if you have allergies! Very slow poor service. Ordered a coconut latte and was given cows milk. Ordered hummus , guacamole and spicy salsa with corn chips as they were advertised as vegan. Food order came around an hour later and the corn chips were Doritos. When questioned was told, “yes they have milk powder in them! “What do you want then?”Thankfully I had my epi pen with me.

My husband and I went out for dinner last night and we were disappointed. We ordered mojitos and some tapas, the mojitos were too sweet, the chicken wings were soggy and had been heated in the microwave. The whitebait was nice but wasn’t served with lemon, the fish goujons were nice but again no lemon. The food options were a bit random and some seemed very pricy for what they are. Considering the great reviews on here, we were expecting a lot more. We wouldn’t return.

Cute little gem in Salisbury, enjoyed lovely glass wine with charcuterie sharing platter with my mum, definitely worth a visit.

Right in the heart of Salisbury, opposite the excellent market (Tues and Sat) Beautiful historic building and friendly, helpful staff. Simple food, done well, nicely presented and at a good price. We've been twice, and it will continue to be our "go to" place when we're in Salisbury

We had our works Christmas do here in December. Service was good but the food was excellent. Will definitely return another time to check out your dinner menu.

We were in a group of 12 which meet every year in different restaurants in various locations and everyone in the group commented on the high quality of the food, value for money and the friendliness of all the staff. We would highly recommend having a meal here. We will be returning when we next visit Salisbury in 2024.

What a gem! Fabulous tasty food served by smiling helpful attentive staff. A great venue. Thoroughly recommended.

Great location by ‘market square’ with good views from this combined restaurant/wine bar and coffee house. We had a super lunchtime meal, well presented, with thoughtful ingredients. Mushroom lasagne was super! Lots of double cooked fries with the burger. There are pastries and cake on the counter!

We stopped in here for a business lunch. Really nice decor and we could bring our office dog. I had the most delicious crab pasta and my partner had the mussels. Both lovely, big portions and the staff were really friendly. A great spot for a business lunch.

Delightfully informal surroundings and atmosphere. Warm welcome and excellent service. The menu is wide ranging with lots of choice. I had a BLT with a big pile of chips, my partner a goats cheese and beetroot salad. Both excellent.
