Camomile Cafe in Wiltshire

Totally great, under new management. I live across the street and come here multiple times a week. Love the day service for coffee and sandwiches; I'll sit and work on my computer. I've also come for the evening wine and lite bite service - lots of great options :)

This place used to be wonderful and has had such a downgrade under new management. No longer serving hot food, we came quite a way because of how good the GF options were and now there isn’t a single GF option. So sad as we loved this place. Don’t trust other good reviews as they are probably for the place how it was

You can’t go wrong with Chamomile cafe. Irit the owner is lovely, and the staff are always friendly and try their best. The food is great, they have lots of healthy options. I like jacket potatoes, soups and English breakfast (pork free) ☺️

Chamomile cafe never disappoints. We've been visiting frequently since we moved to the neighborhood and every time the quality of food is incredible. Very good spot to have a brunch with family or a catch up with a friend over coffee. Staff is very friendly and attentive

The best cafè in Primrose Hill. Cozy and welcoming inside, wide range of food and drinks to choose from and constantly delicious. This has been our favourite spot in the neighbourhood and let me assure you, it never fails to amaze us. The owner is always cheerful, funny and polite, and always find the time to have a chat with us and really make us feel welcome. Whether you're after breakfast, brunch, lunch or just a coffee, this is the perfect spot❤

Nice cafe with wifi - was working here. There’s lots of tables. It’s quite a large cafe with a nice ambience. Haven’t tried the food yet but the turmeric latte was quite good.

Chamomile is my favourite cafe in North London and a fine example of what a neighbourhood cafe should be in my view. The menu is extensive and the food of excellent cafe quality and delivered quickly. Prices are reasonable given the quality of the food and the generous portions. The menu is very flexible (e.g. half portions sometimes available) with the option of swapping things out or adding extras at modest imcremental cost. The staff are always kind and attentive and the room itself is bright and airy while still being warm and cosy. The owner / manager is frequently present herself, overseeing the smooth running of the cafe, supporting her staff and welcoming guests, many of whom are regulars. The cafe has a very inclusive atmosphere with people of all ages and from all walks of life either taking time out on their own or meeting with others.

Nice spot for brunch and coffee!

Coffee is the best on the street! Best croissants in London hands down! They know how to do a true croissant. Comparable to croissants you would get in a good Boulangerie in Paris. My dad raves about them and always makes it a highlight of his trip to London when he is visiting from Ireland to go get some. Also makes me take some back on the plane when I am visiting :) Sausages baguette is stunning. Sausages are excellent quality. Atmosphere is warm, friendly and makes me feel a part of a community here in Belsize Park which can be difficult to experience living in London.

Only Had Earl Grey Tea 🍵 but Very Nice Atmosphere 👌

Management of this cafe is appalling. 40 minutes before closing time they refused to seat a party of two without prior notice on their website that they have to vacate not only close the premises earlier on that specific day. We are a loyal customers of this cafe and were coming here regularly for the last few months. Today we travelled more than 40 minutes specifically to have brunch there. Unacceptable! Google maps indicated 5pm closing time, and at 4:20pm we were not seated. Extremely disappointing.

Good service and prices. Will visit again. Food was tasty and portions satisfying.

It's my local goto. The food is always good. There's a very large brunch/lunch menu, all of which is well done. Really dog friendly which we greatly appreciate. Happy to recommend.

Rude worker who did not take our orders for a long time. Hostile and passive aggressive! After 15 minutes they still didn't care to take our order even though ai've asked multiple times. We eventually went to a different place out of exasperation.

Excellent local cafe in the Belsize Park area. Reliably good breakfast. And you never know who will be at the next table in this part of London.

It's like visiting your family. I really like the lady there... maybe she owns the Chamomile Cafe. She is funny, very friendlich and heartwarming. Sometimes, the service is not customer focused, and you wait a little too long for recognition. 😀

cute cafe in belsize park, and about a 5 minute walk from primrose hill. first saw the cafe on restaurantinlondon.co.uk, and has become a favourite of mine. service is always lovely, and i tell you what, the ham and cheese toastie is up there in my top 3 (yes i have a ranking) would recommend!

I ordered cappuccino but it seems like they forgot to put the coffee in it!! It was literally only hot milk!!! I’ll never get back again

Worst coffee I have ever had … I don’t know how the reviewers gave it more than 1 star .. The coffee flavor was non existent, the cappuccino was more of an espresso shot sized cup

We ordered cappuccino instead we got milk for the same price as the cappuccino

Chamomile in England ' Lane very nice place to meet, very friendly atmosphere and staffs, very good quality of foods, and, their cakes are top of the top quality, from pican pie to baked chesse cake and also the amaretto cheese cake. Good luck 🤞

A lovely (not so little) cafe with a delicious preparations, a cozy atmosphere and great service. The carrot cake and fruit tarts are particularly tasty. Great to spend and afternoon with family and friends, read a book or do a little bit of work

Lovely breakfast of avocado onto Aston with cherry tomatoes and 2 poached eggs. Perfect!!

Always a pleasure to go here, I have visited this establishment for many years, and found the food excellent and the staff are always welcoming.

Honestly... yum. I had the vegan breakfast and was disappointed when I saw the sausage, yeh but into it and... urghhh I must go back!!

I have been coming here for over a decade. But I have to say £7 for a bacon and egg sandwich is outrageous. It wasn't even particularly special.

Lovely cafe, only experienced their take out, can’t wait to sit down. As for their take out, everything is properly boxed, decent flat white and can recommend trying the vegan sausage bread 🥖 ☕️

I like this café, really good food and good coffee, but the staff is not that great... some of them are quite rude and they always think they’re right...

Met a friend for quick lunch - greeted by smiling staff and couteously shown to table. Order was duly taken and disptached....short while later some delicious omlettes were delivered ...very good quality and ambience... Must go in again - makes a change from places across the road where a smile is in short supply!

Superb brunch breakfast and lunch. Good place for snacks brunch. I enjoyed an eggs benedick and mocha and was pleasantly surprised. Good service and tables outside that they regularly disinfect between customers due to Covid19. Overall good quality and service. Very good fresh juices too

1/08/2020 Refering to your reply folks, I appriciate the response I usually like a cheap and cheerful greasy spoon fry up and is not what I got. Not a bad thing you are as you say a casual eatery and I guess I expected a type of personal service especially from the local cafe's. in regards to the table cleanliness I noticed the table was dry with spots and smears before I started eating. Working in the service industry myself I know what standard I keep for my customers and was simply comparing my experience at Chamomile to that. Apologies to cause any offence. I know you are doing your best in this current climate. Thank you.

Best sausage sandwich and tea in Hampstead with lovely service - fave local spot x

I used to be a regular few years ago. Went in today and bought a £3.50 piece of brownie to take away. When the lady at the till handed it over I felt it was quite hard and cold so I asked if she could warm it up for me. Reply? ‘You should’ve told me before’, then she took it and put it in a microwave for 10 seconds. Is that really how you reply to your customers?!? It wasn’t even busy! Well she actually was with her phone. See you in a few years time.

I go here often with my fiancé and love the breakfast! We went last week and thoroughly enjoyed the vegan lemon cake and vegan almond croissant! Needless to say we are looking forward to having that again! I also loved my eggs that I had on sourdough bread with olive oil! If I had any complaint, it would be that the americanos do not come with free refills, like some other breakfast restaurants have that I have attended. Overall a great restaurant!

I have been a regular customer over the last 3 years and rarely if ever disappointed. Coffee good and food is always excellent and inventive . Price is pretty much in line and attentive lovely staff . Keep it up guys

A definite hidden gem in Belsize Park. Best place around for a relaxing weekend brunch.

The staff was so rude and disrespectful with us. I live in Belsize and Recommend the others café around. Avoid this place, no one’s deserve to be mistreated on a Saturday morning.

I love going to this charming very well run and friendly cafe restaurant. The food is always creative and fresh not the usual formulaic fodder of some cafes in the area. The staff are friendly and helpful and it combines to make a very nice experience all round.

Terrible. Disrespectful staff, most likely underpaid in a posh area. Not very good value for money. Food is ok but not really worth it. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Definitely better off at the other cafes around Belsize and Primrose Hill. Chamomile should disappear from the map.

Went in here for lunch didn't even get my food waited 30 minutes and still no food but people coming in after me got there food first it a joke couse of this I didn't have no lunch and had to go back to work

Friendly staff, yet food is mediocre and overpriced - eggs Florentine was nothing special at £11. I also found it confusing that they offer table service, yet require payment at the counter - this leads to long waits when there is a queue for people taking out/paying food they had inside.

I have been coming here on and off for about 8 years. First, I really enjoyed the staff and the food was okayish. It was also the only real cafe on Englands Lane back then. Then the owner changed, the food went from mediocre to boring, the good staff left and other places opened up on the block. Neither of them were/are stellar but there was a choice and I tried them all, leaving Chamomile to sort itself out. Finally today, after not having been for a year, I went back! And the menu has vastly changed and improved and grown. I had a beef burger with haloumi and sweet potato fries..the beef comes from the awesome butcher across the road. The patty was slightly overdone but that may be health regulations. I enjoyed a fabulous, inventive Blackberry Hot Chocolate. They kept a couple of the best staff people around, hired a few also promising looking new guys and just like that: they have left the other (even the newest arrival higher up the road) cafes back in the dust. Why only 4 stars? They continue to have the old furniture. The space never been assessed properly for the furniture they have. It continues to sport a haphazard interior design set up which does end up feeling chaotic in busy times. But overall: good to have you back in top form, chamomile! Now if we only could have a good restaurant for dinner...

Lovely food, it's not a standard old school breakfast place. Food is plated at high standards and cooked to perfection. It is quite cheap considering the place is located in such a posh area, it worths a visit. Owners are lovely as the staff as well.

Can be quite inconsistent in terms of food quality and service. On my last visit I’ve ordered a DIY breakfast (2 poached eggs, salmon, avocado) which cost £10. Received an avocado ‘shaving’ (not even a slice) which had gone off, it was brown and grey. Asked for it to be replaced and then got ‘looks’ from waiters which made me feel uncomfortable - as if I’d done something wrong.

One of the nicer cake 🍰 shop in the area. The flat white is amazing, it’s smooth and well balanced coffee. The cake portions are however too big. I wish they had smaller or half portions. We were feeling sad about leaving some cake. The apple pie was pretty crunchy and delicious. A bit pricy but makes for an amazing Saturday evening coffee. As expected, I came back here!

Average food , long wait, staff a bit unprofessional. Ps. The lemonade was horrible, anyway they still charged us for it. Update. Basic breakfast for me : bacon was dry ( you either used microwave or oven) and burnt. My colleague has received a wrong order, Dear owner, please don't find more excuses. You may drink your lemonade and wait 65 min for a blunt breakfast.

Wonderful family-run classic cafe. I've been coming to the Chamomile Cafe every week for quite a number of years, and the food is always excellent and the staff and atmosphere welcoming and friendly. Plus the pricing is just right. And this really is fresh food, as if you arrive too late in the afternoon, then some of the specials maybe be gone! Always a good sign 😃. And this cafe knows how to make an omelette — melts in your mouth like ice cream! 10/10 👍🏆

Possibly the worst service I've ever received. We went here for a brunch with family and the waitress was not helpful at all, we asked her a couple of questions regarding the food and she gave us sarcastic answers and made us feel un-welcomed which ruined our mood which was a shame as we left most of our food so cannot give any review about the food. I'm not one to leave negative reviews online but I feel the owner needs to know about one particular member of staff. (waitress with the pink hair)

This is my favourite go to place for a snack, a full meal or just a coffee and some 'me time' I love the breakfast there so much I tend to order it in the late afternoon after work! The eggs taste like the proper thing as I recall from my childhood!and the tomatoes have a lovely sweet piquancy Such a great place to relax , unwind and enjoy a peaceful time surrounded by a gentle hubbub of the families, ladies who lunch and earnest business meetings! The service is wonderful... it's a home from home( without the washing up!) Highly recommended!

Ambience lovely. I had the burger and fries, nothing special at all. Tomato was limp on the roll, still had to add sauce. Patty was dry. Wished I'd ordered something else. The person I was with had the kitchen special which was haddock and that was well presented and fish moist. We had juice of the month which was flipping awesome! Freshly squeezed. Dessert was the best part, raw chocolate cake and the apple strudel!

Extraordinary place for a good English breakfast. Some of the best omelettes and french toast I've ever had along with a pleasant staff that makes for a perfect start to your day. Definitely recommend it!

Excellent vegan food! The veggie sausages were delicious, so was the avocado on toast (without eggs). Also the soup of the day (vegan mushroom soup) was superb!

Food and coffee were ok. One of the poached eggs was more of a hard egg. What surprised me was that they removed my plate before I finished and looked like in a hurry for me to pay.

I came for pancakes, a fry up a smoothy and a coffee and didnt get much change from £30.00. customer service is great, and i suppose you pay a little more due to the location of the cafe. However, i would recommend this cafe to anyone and everyone in the local area.

I came with a large group of friends with babies and toddlers. I’ve never felt so welcome in a cafe with my baby!!! Lovely play facilities for all ages. Great menu (it’s rare to find a cafe with baby led weaning options) for all ages. Yummy fresh food!! Wish we had one in Swindon! But will definitely travel again to visit!!! Thank you!
