This place has fantastic staff and amazing roast lunches. They are dog friendly and human friendly too. I cannot speak more highly of an eatery that serves good wine too. A☆☆☆☆☆
A good idea & the food we chose we enjoyed : Ghujarati lamb mince delicious, Kerala chicken meant to be cooked in coconut milk but no flavour of that at all. Tasty dish. Rice was unseasoned. Onion bahjis very good indeed. Veg samosas unseasoned. Coriander sauce delicious. Bread good but nothing special.
All well packaged & service was excellent. It was very good value for us as the above was enough for 2 meals for 2.
This place was recommended by a work colleague, and I must remember to thank them! Quite hidden away, but well worth hunting for.
Every single thing on the menu is gluten free and vegan, so you don’t have to worry what is and isn’t available as a GF option. I chose the Sun option, a lovely mix of turmeric hummus, falafel, pesto , gherkin and rocket with a balsamic glaze. Heaven! When I went back the next day I added avocado and it was even better.
Quick service, lovely attentive staff and outdoor seating options.
Thoroughly recommended! Give it a go!
Really good, reliable, tasty food and friendly, efficient service. I travel for work and have visited several times. Always really flavourful food and always friendly service without being overbearing or intrusive. Takes a little while to be served, very fresh food, never oily. A really good variety of veggie dishes. The brinjal/aubergine is excellent. My go-to.
I stopped for a cup of coffee when road works held up progress. I got the sort of genuine friendly service you don't get in chains and a great cup of coffee too, which I had in the little garden at the back of the shop. I loved the place and would definitely return.
Popped into this cafe recently, staff were genuinely lovely and welcoming, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the experience was let down by a few things. The wait for food was quite long, and when my burger finally arrived, the portion size didn’t feel like good value for the price. It just didn’t quite deliver in terms of satisfaction. Also worth noting: the space inside is quite tight, so dining in feels a bit cramped. With some tweaks, this place could really improve, but as it stands, I left feeling a bit underwhelmed.
5 Market Way, Redruth, TR15 2AU, United Kingdom, England
The Marketway Café is in Redruth town centre, almost hidden within the quaint indoor Market and newly revamped Buttermarket. The very friendly staff efficiently serve well cooked hot and cold food at very reasonable prices.
We both opted for the delicious roast of the day which was Lamb, served with carrots, green beans, cauliflower, parsnip, broccoli, swede, cabbage, mashed potato and a roast potato all topped with gravy and a Yorkshire pudding, phew! It also came with a drink (we chose mugs of tea) and a choice of desserts, we had sticky toffee puddings and ice cream. All this for £9 per person!
It is easy to see why the Marketway Café is always so popular with both local and visiting customers. We will definitely be going back soon.
I was invited to a birthday party this weekend and found myself at a bar I’d never been to before—and won’t be visiting again. While the private party room was pleasant and we managed to create a good atmosphere, the bar itself left much to be desired.
To start, the drink quality and pricing were absolutely outrageous. I ordered a Gin and Tonic, which is my usual choice. They used a bottle labelled Gordon’s, but I am certain it wasn’t genuine Gordon’s gin. The tonic was an unnamed, inferior brand. They served this in a small 200ml plastic glass and charged me an extortionate £7.90. Knowing that my body reacts poorly to cheap alcohol, I decided to switch to a bottle of Prosecco, which cost me £30. Although the Prosecco was mediocre at best, it was a slight improvement over the gin.
I can’t help but wonder why so many young people in Exeter end up unwell after nights out, given the poor quality drinks sold at exorbitant prices in some bars. For me, this bar is definitely one to avoid in the future. I haven't tried any food, and I wont even going to try.
Called in for breakfast, the 2 ladies in the cafe were brilliant, super friendly and seemed to know everyone who came in. A credit!
The service was perfect and the breakfast was first class, will definitely make this my regular brekky spot. Well done.
Lovely breakfast for grate value! Visited here with my family this morning. Service was quick, food was fresh and coffee was great!
Would highly recommend!
We had a fantastic day and meal. We were fortunate and managed to arrange a trip on the day by turning up and asking (and paying the difference between the rover day ticket and the trip price) Carol was train manager and she was great and sorted everything out.
The train journey was very enjoyable watching the scenery slowly roll by. The food was lovely and hot and we w severed by Margaret. We a Sunday Lunch with salmon pate, veg soup with crusty bread, roast lamb with roast potatoes and veg and on the return apple and blackberry crumble with Tea and Coffee included.
What makes the trip is the staff who are all volunteers - unfortunately I dont know all their names but the service they provide is lovely - thankyou very much - Chris and Bernie
