The food and coffee was great. Unfortunately the experience was soured by a staff member when I placed my order. I ordered and paid up front. She read out the (correct) total, then tapped a button and didn't turn the display for me to see the total when I tapped my card. However, I could just about see upside down it was higher than the amount she said so she'd obviously tapped the tip button without telling me. She then didn't give me a card receipt. This place is not exactly cheap to start with so ended up being an even more expensive breakfast, but more than that it just felt so rude and sly on principle and tainted what was otherwise a good experience.

I go to a lot of cafes and work in the hospitality sector. This cafe sets the standards that all cafes should aim for. Friendly and prompt service, and nothing is too much trouble. The cafe is extremely charming, albeit small so sometimes I can’t get in but that’s expected when a cafe does everything right. The mushrooms cooked in butter are amazing, and the sausage and bacon are always top notch. Alice is the owner I believe and should be very proud.

It was a chilly day and this is the first coffee shop after the car parks. So we popped in. Great portion sizes and the parsnip soup was piping hot. Only slight niggle was food was brought up before the cutlery so I had to temporarily sit and look at my soup whilst she got the cutlery. Not sure why it’s not on the table. But cannot fault the food 😀

This is a lovely little cafe, with top quality food. We had a gorgeous home-made parsnip soup with sourdough bread. Friendly staff and a nice ambience.

Have been a number of times for coffee and cake, and visited for lunch this week. Good menu choices, and freshly prepared food. Staff are lovely and always greet with a smile. Will definitely visit again soon.

Nice little shop. Polite service. Coffee made very very milky to the point it was almost free of coffee flavour. I’d suspect only a single shot of espresso being used per drink. Shane as could be nice there

Morning coffee and sausage sandwich - both of which were excellent. Staff were pleasant and the place has a nice vibe. Enough said me thinks.

Came upon this small cafe, by chance, and I couldn’t have picked a better place for a nice breakfast and coffee with a friend. Such cozy, warm vibe with comfortable seating, inviting decor and great menu. Prices were reasonable, bathroom was very clean, free WiFi and friendly staff. Coffee and breakfast were excellent. They also serve lunch, which I didn’t get a chance to try, but intend to on my next visit to Tetbury. I highly recommend a stop in this little gem.

Have visited twice with family. As good second time, as the first. A great little place, tucked away in Tetbury. Good coffee, excllent food and cake, perfect service and great value. I only write reviews for the places that are worth it, and I don't do that very often....

Stopped in Tetbury for a comfort break and found this cafe just around the corner from the larger car park. Excellent value for money, plentiful sized bacon sarnie and best latte that i have drunk in ages. highly recommended.

We popped into this quaint coffee bar whilst exploring Tetbury. We ordered two coffees which were average. As we were getting up from the table, I headed out the door leaving my husband who had not yet grabbed our belongings , to pay. As I opened the door the two members of staff shouted across the cafe to me ( implying we weren’t going to pay! ) My husband very politely made light of the situation. That on top of having to listen to the two ladies talk about their social lives/being disgruntled employee conversations did not add to the atmosphere. Would avoid

The Cotswold Coffee Bar was great! Such a quaint little cafe with the loveliest staff. The owner, Alice was lovely and made our visit very welcoming, recommending us cakes in store and local visits. The cakes were incredible and the coffee itself, by far the best roast/latte i have had from an independent cafe, hands down! Would highly recommend this place if you are in Tetbury or passing through.

Recently, myself and my partner had a conundrum on how to fulfil our morning. We drove to Tetbury and found the most fantastic, genuine cafe we have seen in years - Cotswold Coffee Bar. Alice and her team was very friendly and welcoming and caters for a wide range of customer requirements. Look forward to returning soon.

Popped in at lunch time, to be honest I was lured in by the honeycomb hot chocolate on the board outside! There is seating outside as well and clearly dog friendly. We both had a tea cake, I did have the hot chocolate (must be about a million delicious calories). Staff were lovely, a very welcoming little place. Good value too.

A great place at the edge of a charming town. Not large inside but there are comfortable chairs and delicious food. The cakes are homemade and light and airy and the drinks are loose leaf and come in a large pot. The staff are friendly and helpful and prices are reasonable - £11.20 for tea and cake for two.

This cafe has the best home made scones and bread and butter pudding. The food is so delicious and a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend a visit!!

By luck we chose this restaurant for lunch and loved it so much went again the following evening. Smiths is a charming restaurant full of character, with a number of low-ceiling rooms. We had the” scotchy burger” both times and it was absolutely sensational. Cooked to perfection, full of flavour and quite possibly the best burger I (and my wife) have ever had or could remember having (and I’ve had a few!). The cajun fries were also perfectly cooked and added a spicy side to a (moderately) spicy burger and we left wishing this place wasn’t 2 hours away! The staff were friendly , especially the young blonde lady who was so welcoming and accommodating to us and also made the delicious chocolate mousse special that we had for desert. Definitely advisable to pre-book, this place gets very busy, and deservedly so.

Had a fantastic cake and coffee, sitting outside the bakers. The portion was very sizable and the quality outstanding.

The guy who works here is rude and condescending. Dare you not be a perfect coffee expert and ask for advice on which drink to choose.
