Dolcetti in Cotswold

Nice icecream. Felt the price was a little steep for the portion size. Good ice cream, not great. Nor sure how to explain it. It was nice. And that is it.

My two love visiting for a Gruffles dog icecream, and my favourite is Mint choc chip, or Cotswold Cream!

Stopped in with my wife earlier this week…both craving an Italian ice cream (in an unusual location!)…I had coffee…she had pistachio…both were fine, but only fine and at the price of £5 per portion (smallish scoop on a cone and a tiny tub), as with a previous reviewer, I could not justify a return, no matter how strong the craving!

The owner really knows about ice cream and really knows about customer service

The ice cream was fine, but not as good as Winstones, while the price was unreasonably high.

Back again 2 years later and still great Ice Cream and milkshakes!

Been to Dolcettis a few times in the last 2 years and the ice cream flavours can be a bit hit or miss. Wife enjoyed her honeycomb a lot. I got the relish brownie but it was so void of anything it was basically plain vanilla. Considering its now £5 for a single scoop (summer inflation I feel) it's very difficult to justify returning.

A hidden iced gem on the industrial estate in Cirencester. However, amazing gelato with so many flavours to choose from, we visit a lot!

A great spot for an afternoon treat. A lovely spacious cafe with an a must see giant jigsaw! They offer a great array of ice cream in many flavours. The orange choc chip was a personal favorite of mine. I always try and visit when I'm in Cirencester. The chap who served us was very friendly and we had a great chat. Will certainly be back.

Been coming here for years! However the last 2 times we've been we were served by two ladies (second time she couldn't of been more miserable). On both occasions the amount of ice cream was pathetic for the money (£5 for 2 scoops) you pay. Rob is by far the most generous!

One of my favourite places to visit. I have taken my children there for years and they always have not only the best selection but also the best tasting ice-creams. We were especially lucky to sample the new, soon to be available Banoffee flavour, which is an absolute winner. I couldn't recommend Dolcetti's enough.

In my opinion this is the best ice cream in the cotswolds and yet to find anything better anywhere I’ve been. Well worth a stop if just for 1 scoop or a whole tub!

This is our happy place! Each mouthful has soooo much flavour to it. Such a massive selection of flavours and always changing too. They have also moved to new premises which is great for wheel chair users, more space and a great viewing window where you can watch the gelato being made. Can’t wait to come back.

Amazing ice cream will be back

All ice-cream made in house. All fresh ingredients. We travelled from Gloucester and was definitely worth the drive. The staff were so welcoming. We also got to see the world's largest jigsaw. The best thing by far was how delicious the ice-cream was. A real variety to choose from aswell. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going again.

Chocolate Orange, Rum and Raisin and the Cherry Chocolate are banging. Will be back.

Saw the reviews on here for this place and drove from an hour's drive away to visit. Got there and it was no where to be seem. Asked in Jesse Smith where they were located and they said Dolcetti to had moved and no one knows where to. I am so annoyed as it was a complete waste of time and money. Why don't they say where they have moved to. There was a cryptic reference to it on Facebook when we got home and it turns out it was a few doors down, so feel doubly fed up. Really bad communication.

Best Ice cream I have had in the UK, the range of flavours is incredible. My favourite is Malaga!

My partner and I were on our way back to London and decided upon an impromptu treat. Everything about the parlour and factory is amazing. Its clean. The service was impeccable and the ice cream was absolutely delicous. We could have happily sat there and gone through it all!! The owner was actually very inspitariotional and we were so happy that we stopped by. We even took some tubs back for the children and for ourselves. Blown away with the quality.

Well worth a visit. Located in an uninspiring industrial estate you can find Dolcetti. Inside there is an amazing array of gelato to try. So many flavours we had to go back multiply times. Family favourites were orange chocolate chip, chocolate orange and Malaga… They sell tubs as well. They cater for vegans, dairy free and gluten intolerances.

After trailing round shops, what a treat to be refreshed by these delicious ice creams. There were 10 of our family in the party and we all chose different flavours. So glad we found Dolcetti's!

Really great ice cream. Always lots of interesting flavours and a nice atmosphere. I love the raspberry gelato its very flavourful. Before covid you could sit in and sometimes see them making the ice cream!

Has vegan icecream! Not in a cone though, only a tub but its delicious.

Lush ice cream, served by a nice friendly chap just a little bit expensive but I still give it 5 stars. 4 ice creams £15. Will be a returning customer.

If your visiting the Cotswold anytime soon or even coming for Christmas then make sur e you try all Dolcetti has to offer, there Christmas logs and flavours have been launch not too mention some new ones,trythe fig and yogurt the weekend it was so good I finisg the whole opot in one tasting. A little bit of goodness now and then does you well and lets face it this year we need it. Always pop into the shop in Cirencester on the lovelane industrial Estate opposite Jessie Smiths and meet Rob the most passionate man I know about his hand made Italian Gelato. My wife and I were walking through Cirencester, from the Caravan Club site to South Cerney, picking up the Thames Path at Siddington. Just happened to spot this place, must admit I had heard about it before, but didn't know where it was. Having spent 26 years making Ice cream, I am a little fussy and the good news is that it doesn't disappoint. Fantastic quality products, well presented in a spotless environment. If your visiting Cirencester or the lakes around South Cerney and no doubt venturing a litlte further and want a real treat then head to Dolcetti,Yes it maybe in an industrial area but they do great takeaway ice cream selection or even better Ice Cream cakes with no cake involved. This place is not just for kids it is also an Adults delight, Meet the owner Rob who puts all his enthusiasm and passion into making what is by far the best ice cream you will ever taste. I took the children to Harrods Ice Cream parlour and whilst Dolcetti might not have the grandeur of the building the ice cream is better. It really is Cow to Cone in a day, made onsite with full traceability of everything that goes into making the ice cream. I took a couple of flavours to some of my Italian friends the other day and couldn't believe how good it tastes. As we are local I have taken my daughter and her friends there and every time they have a playday they always choose this over anything else as a treat. Well done Dolcetti local Cotswold Ice Cream

We visited Dolcetti on a very rainy day so the cafe was completely empty. Dogs are allowed in the front section of the cafe and there is a water bowl provided for them. Obviously being November there were fewer flavours available but still a lot to choose from. The ice cream is different to most I’ve tried before, in that it’s quite creamy with softer flavours, rather than an overpowering flavour that drowns out the creamy flavour. Lots of other pre-made flavours in tubs ready to take home with you. Many vegan flavours available and even a reduced sugar vanilla available also. Flavours I’d never even heard of before like fig and whisky! Lovely to see the ice cream is made on site also.

By far the BEST ice cream in Cirencester! Always such a variety of flavours, which makes it so hard to choose, as they all look delicious! They make delicious milkshakes from the ice cream too which i would highly recommend to try! Staff always lovely and friendly! Will be back!

Feeling the heat today we just fancied an ice cream in Cirencester. We googled ‘ice cream near me’ and Dolcetti came up so we decided to give it a try. On an industrial estate its easy to find and park. You can see the ice cream being made from the parlour and kids were loving it. We both had a triple tub of ice cream and it was delicious. Lots of flavours to choose from, the ice cream was creamy and smooth. I have mocha, fudge and caramel cup - all amazing. Lovely place to pop to on a hot day.

This is probably the best ice cream I have had ever tasted and whilst you may not get the Harrods ice scream parlour experience the ice cream is worthy of being compared to the london socialite who we visited recently. There is only one thing to say " Try it "

We placed an order for an ice-cream cake the day before we needed it (we were horribly disorganised) and the owner of Dolcetti worked late into the night to get our ice-cream cake ready – it was FANTASTIC! We loved the Cornish cream centre and the cherries (WOW), and the splendid raspberry sorbet around the outside – the meringue on top was such a pretty touch. We really appreciated their can-do attitude, great suggestions and getting this together for us at such a late stage – THANK YOU! It was presented in the dark with a firework candle and was fabulous. Dolcetti now has a family of fans for life!

Really friendly staff. Milk sourced daily from local farms. No flavourings or additives. Many delicious choices and all made on site! Can eat in or take away. Definitely worth a visit.

It was out of season so no fancy dishes but the ice cream is so good a cone was sufficient! My partner said it was the best ice cream he'd ever had.

The selection of ice creams was incredible. So many different flavours. The owner served us and was very amiable and explained that the ice creams were made from local produce wherever possible. He also offered us tastes of various flavours.

I think the heading says it all! The staff are always friendly when I pop in. Far better than ice cream from supermarket of course!

Visitamos para postre he comido en otro sitio. La selección de helados era enorme y era difícil elegir. Elderflower sorbete era super y el café era excelente (favorables es un café local favorables a pocas puertas). Pude probar un par antes de elegir, que era bueno. El tamaño de las porciones eran buenas. El entorno es una unidad industrial y la zona de estar es un poco así para llevar es quizás utilitaria mejor, pero se puede ver en la zona de producción que entretienen a los niños. También venden tamaños litro para llevar así este es sin duda recomendable.

Visitamos con amigos después de la escuela para un regalo, pero el ambiente no era fantástica y el propietario parecía más preocupado por un par de servilletas de papel y en la basura no habíamos terminado nuestra helados cuando le dijo a los niños - "ven aquí he algo para mostrar' - y procedió a mostrar la papelera! - como si nuestros hijos eran incapaces de hacerlo por sí mismos! - uno de los niños era de sólo 4 años. Supongo que estarás en otro lugar en el futuro. El chico era bastante desagradable y no habíamos terminado el helado!

A large amount of flavours available along with the opportunity to see the Gelato being made, through the big window inside. You can even by pots and ice cream cakes to take out. The mint choc chip was a favorite for us!

Perfect spot for an Ice Cream many many flavours all made with local ingredients, its more expensive but you get what you pay for, terrific taste.

Just brilliant ice-cream. I would recommend the rave coffee flavour made with coffee from the coffee roaster two shops down! Have it with the pistachio flavour... Great combo Just go there.

Fantastic range of delicious ice cream, made on the premises. Turn up to buy a cone or tub and probably leave with a litre tub for the freezer. How convenient !

Quite simply the best ice-cream...ever!It's available at a number of places in Cirencester, but it's so worth the effort ducking out of the town to Love Lane industrial estate to see the ice-cream being made and sample it. The owner is lovely - really warm, welcoming and he definitely knows his gelato!There are so many different flavours to choose from that you'll never get bored. And they make ice-cream cakes too - and one day I'm going to find an excuse to try one!

Their ice cream is wonderful, they have the restaurant where you can sit in and eat and a touring van for festivals and shows.

This new startup has a wonderful staff that know how to make espresso coffees. The cafe specializes in handmade fresh ice creams.The service by Sophie was great and quick!

We had Dolcetti Icecream for our wedding. Delicious flavours, good value for money and lovely trike. Our guests were very impressed as were my husband and I. Perfect start to our marriage.

My daughter was taken round this ice cream making factory with her school, Westonbirt, for a post exam treat. On her return I heard nothing more than praise from her coupled with a lecture about how much rubbish is in most ice cream, not so Dolcetti. Since then we have been working our way through the huge variety of freshly made produce and love them all. We will never go back to the mass produced stuff out there now we've discovered the real thing.

Stopped here for an ice cream after a visit to the nearby Cotswold beach and country park. They had many flavours available, my wife had vanilla and honeycomb which she said was excellent. I had honeycomb and coconut. The total for 4 scoops was £7. It was worth every penny. Be sure to visit if you're in the area.

Such amazing ice cream you will just want to taste more and more ! They make all their own ice cream on site and Rob is always happy to explain what makes his gelato so special. Am always happy to take my little boy to have an ice cream as a treat and can't wait till he's old enough to have a 'gelato experience' birthday party there ! Not cheap, but you am always happy to pay for quality.Make sure to check out the amazing jigsaw on the wall !OK, so it's a little unusual being located in an area that's more like an industrial estate, but so worth making the effort to go there.

Visited here for the second time to sample some different flavours. The viewing window is a great idea where you can see the gelato being created.Very friendly guy at the counter who was very helpful and patient with our selections

Always great flavours and always so many to choose from, well worth the visit ,they have so many different flavours I would need a week to let you know what they are,Christmas specials and other specials through out the year always a thumbs up treat for the family
