New East End Café and Takeaway in Plymouth

One of the best breakfasts ive had, clean, quality products, cooked and presented spot on. Served by a helpful, happy lad. Deffo recommend a visit. Had a mega breakfast cos im greedy 😁

Food was extremely tasty, I don't usually like fried eggs but they were done to perfection. It was so yummmmmy !!!

Best cafe in town :) me and my partner love the east end cafe we go to many cafe for a breakfast around the south west and these have to be the best by far !!! Always comes out piping hot! Great prices to. Highly recommend

Popped in while my car. Was being fixed near by and found this great little cafe. It is light, airy and the sausage and bacon sandwich that I cuttingly eating is lovely and is accompanied by a great quality coffee. LOVELY.

Visited a few times and can’t fault anything. The food is served hot, the drinks made to how you want. Staff go above and beyond. Well worth a visit on your own, or with a family. Variety of different food options and can cater for my DF need :)

I only found this place (off the beaten track) due to a recommendation as I was waiting for a tyre to be replaced on my car. It’s the little things that make a big difference. The coffee that comes with the breakfast is proper coffee, not instant with extra to be paid if you like real coffee. The (tinned) tomatoes come in a separate ramekin so the whole plate isn’t swimming in liquid. Everything was well cooked and not greasy. I asked for marmalade and was given some at no extra charge. The service was super friendly and the cafe spotlessly clean. Overall, an extremely pleasant breakfast experience and I’ll be back for more.

Having previously given this cafe a five star review which at the time it definitely deserved… But today sadly I have to give a revised review of my recent experience so at least the management know how they might improve… We have visited this cafe every Sunday dinner time for months now and have been very impressed with the traditional breakfast… We noticed a slight price increase a few weeks ago but still great value.. But sadly today we noticed a considerable second price increase within weeks… I totally understand from a business point of view in the current situation with energy and raw materials going up substantially that this is essential to stay viable and prosperous that it is essential to pass on the increase to the customer which is understandable… I totally get this and am happy to support a local business… For the first time today I decided to have a different meal “steak and kidney pie and chips” instead of the traditional breakfast… big mistake! I did not enjoy it at all… the pie was or seemed microwaved to death… the pastry rock hard… the chips seemed to be microwaved as well… small and hard… Such a shame… a bit of gravy would have made it a bit more appetising maybe… Sadly our regular stop off here will have to stop for now… we will return later in the year to see if things improve which hopefully they will… Can’t fault the staff, they are always friendly and polite and really is a shame I have to leave a review like this but the management need customer feedback to improve… Again totally understand the price increase in the current economic situation…

Absolutely love this cafe! I have been coming here since the new owners took over in March this year. The food is always cooked fresh to order, served hot and tastes delicious. The cafe is modern and clean and the staff are always very friendly and welcoming. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

First time I ordered food was cold and arrived 45 minutes late from uber eats. Second time the food was covered in barbecue sauce the bag had melted and there was plastic in the apple pie. Won't ever eat here again.

Nip in here pretty much every day for lunch and never leave disappointed! The variety available is enough to keep you coming back and the food / service is quality. Very friendly little place, nice atmosphere and the full English (Mega) is THE ONE if you are feeling rough (actually it is just the one tbh) 10 / 10 :D

We often walk past this cafe wondering what it’s like for food, but today we decided to give it a try….. Thank God we did!….. Outstanding service and quality food here….. The staff are really friendly and polite and nothing is too much trouble for them….. We ordered the Traditional breakfast and the Mega breakfast which both came with a free drink and was reasonably priced….. I asked for two coffees which arrived very quickly and was hot and really good quality coffee….. very enjoyable….. The breakfasts arrived shortly after the coffees and the staff made sure that we had everything we needed to go with our meals, nothing was too much trouble for them….. great service! Now to the food….. What can I say….. This was probably the best breakfast I have ever had in a Plymouth cafe and my friend said the same thing about his breakfast too….. Really good quality tasty breakfasts….. freshly prepared and hot….. Good portion sizes too….. Really enjoyed eating everything on the plate….. First class food! The New East End cafe is clean inside and the tables were spotless….. We won’t be walking past this cafe again….. can’t wait until the next time we go here.….. Highly recommend this cafe, you will be pleasantly surprised….. A great find…..

Went here on fireworks night and decided to get three lots of fish and chips the minute we walked in we were welcomed. The staff asked if we wanted to sit down and wait as we were getting it as a takeaway very friendly staff you are helpful fish and chips where the best I’ve tasted in Plymouth recently definitely visit again

We went to this cafe for a full English breakfast and were really impressed. The staff were chatty and friendly and the breakfast was excellent. We had a mega and a traditional breakfast , both of which came with tea and toast and kept us...

Needed a place quickly for the toilet and found this little place. Ordered an espresso and it was excellent. Bit odd to have to go outside and round the side to get to toilets but they were clean. Friendly staff.

Went there for breakfast with some sailing buddies. Great friendly service and half the price of breakfast in nearby marina. Food was good quality and fresh and so was the coffee. Highly recommended.

I've ordered from here a couple of times now and the food has arrived quickly, and therefore still hot. The cod was over cooked first time around, but lovely and juicy second time. Meals are presented well in cardboard boxes and are of a good...
