Popped in today on off chance didn't realise closed at 1400hrs however the girls were more than accommodating for my large breakfast - Wife & Daughter in laws scrambled egg & beans on toast, what can I say, what a pair they were very funny, good was great & great price will definitely visit again 💜💜🥳🥳Thank you ladies for staying on another 50 mins for us.100% recommended.

Doesn’t look much from the outside but don’t miss out on this hidden gem. Great food , quickly delivered and big portions! Friendly, efficient staff. I told them that they needed to put their prices up! Can’t recommend enough.

A hidden gem somewhat overshadowed by its big neighbour The Mountbatten, but when you find it you won’t be disappointed! A varied menu with everything cooked fresh to order in very pleasant surroundings. Ample free parking. 3 or 4 steep steps to get down to the entrance. A friendly ‘haven’ would be a fair description!

I recently visited The Galley Kitchen and was thoroughly impressed! The cozy atmosphere, combined with friendly and welcoming staff, made for an enjoyable experience from the moment I walked in. The menu offers a great selection of coffee, teas, breakfast items and light bites, all at very reasonable prices. It’s rare to find such high-quality food and drinks at such affordable rates. The staff went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed, making me feel right at home. I highly recommend Galley Kitchen for anyone looking for a laid-back spot with great service and even better prices!

Visited today for lunch. 10 out of 10. Great menu and very very reasonable prices. I had the ham and cheese doorstep sandwich and the wife, a tuna melt panini. Plus a latte and a green tea. Everything top notch. Generous portions and beautifully presented. Really friendly service and lovely décor. Well worth a visit. Takeaways available as well. Loved it.

Small, very clean and cozy. Food was amazing, full breakfast freshly cooked and a wrap with loads of home made coleslaw on the side. Will Definetly be returning

A lovely little find. After a brisk walk on and cold cold day to pop in and have a lovely hot cuppa and a bite to eat. Very friendly staff and the atmosphere was great. The old photos on the walls are really interesting and bring back memories. A great find, will be visiting this little cafe again. Well done.

Beautiful artwork and photos with good food. I had a medium breakfast which, was quite substantial, but still lacking. The generic sausages, heavily oiled mushrooms, cheap nasty spread on the toast not butter and deep fried (not sauted) potato, all let it down just enough to not get the 5 stars. The service was lovely, as were the ladies in there. Good place for dogs too, which is always a bonus.

This little establishment is hidden away, so you need to look for it. Food was just fantastic. Staff that served us were great. The seating area indoors and outside were clean and welcoming. This is our first time visit, but it's definitely not the last. If you are heading to Mount batten car park 2 area, you should be able just to see this hidden away gem.

I much prefer to travel 5 minutes up the road from my office, than use a closer outlet because the food is much higher quality and such good value for money. We have had the GK cater for our business meetings where a great selection of sandwiches were supplied - again at great value. Very easy parking and a great location right beside the sea!

The fresh smell of cooking drew us to the GK. Cannot fault on the breakfast, how anyone can eat the large, as I just about managed the medium! Very friendly and clean, really well worth a visit if in need of a "medicinal" cooked breakfast!!

Food is incredible and very good price. Breakfasts are great and huge. And all the lunch menu that I have tried has been delicious! I prefer the food to the Mount batten pub and its half the price

We stopped off here after our dog walk with a soggy doggy as he had been for a swim, the lady was very welcoming and even offered us to sit inside as it had started to drizzle, despite our wet dog. There is a friendly feel and excellent service. Very accommodating too as I needed my food order tweaking, I would highly recommend a visit here. 😋.

Set myself a target of finding the best Breakfast in Plymouth, many breakfasts later it was bobs east end diner in Tavistock until today, went to the galley kitchen Mountbatten and was really blown away. 1. The food was ample 2. Freshly cooked 3. Tasted amazing Highly recommend the sautéed potatoes as an extra but this place is 10/10, a must if you like the great British Breakfast. I know I’m a foody but I think I can stop looking now for other places to eat Breakfast.

We often go to the Galley Kitchen with our friends, and we are never disappointed with the food, service or friendliness of everyone who works there. We usually have a breakfast, which is excellent as are the doorstep sandwiches. Penny and I had a lovely salad last time we went and I have to say it was the most beautiful presented and tasty salad I have ever had. Outdoor seating is available but dogs are also welcome inside which makes it ideal for both summer and winter.All the food is very reasonably priced too. Highly recommended.

This is a wonderful warm and welcoming venue. The food is delicious and always freshly made. The staff are extremely accommodating and professional at all times. I have been frequenting this little gem since the day it changed hands and would highly recommend it especially as there is free parking and a lovely walks in the area. I strongly challenge any bad reviews.

Ordered a full English breakfast had a reasonable and small request of crispy bacon and to swap an egg for a sausage. It really wasn't asking alot. They took my plate after the bacon came cooked as basically warm rubber. And also without the extra tomato requested.Obviously my small simple request was not met. After already waiting nearly half an hour with a half empty cafe I simply and politely said dont worry, as I'd already waited and didn't want the other food to go cold. I was bitten at rather rudely by the owner in front of all who were in the cafe and argued with me saying the bacon was crispy and she now had to make a whole new meal which was ridiculous.Obviously it wasn't as requested or else I wouldn't have sent it back. just trying to teach me a lesson as it came back nowhere near as long as it took the first time. Anyone would have thought she was giving the food away. Food is not bad but the attitude to a paying customer just stank will never return that is for certain. I've spent rather alot of money over two years visiting there and there always seems to be an issue. Its basic cafe grub not rocket science. What a shame

I came here today with my wife and two young kids as we often saw a sign for it when walking around Mountbatten. I assumed it would be a hole in the wall to a kitchen but we went in to the building and was mega surprised. What a beautiful little hidden gem! It was really cosy and the 2 ladies were really welcoming and very friendly. We got a lot of food for the money and the lady asked if we wanted to choose certain breakfast items for the kids so they didn’t get something they didn’t like, which was very thoughtful. I’d 100% recommended popping in for a bite to eat or refreshments if you’re down Mountbatten and the surrounding area. We’ll definitely return. P.s. the fish finger sandwich was lovely!

We went for a walk along the pier, didn't want to pay the prices in The Mountbatten pub so we were very pleased to find this little cafe signposted further back on the road. An absolute diamond of a cafe, quite an extensive and very affordable menu, twinkly lights on ceiling to make for lovely ambience, this is definitely going to be our regular spot from now on.

Found this cafe on Google when looking for somewhere to wait whilst my dog was being groomed locally. Don't be put off by the entrance, follow the signs and keep going until you reach this lovely little cafe. Had a cappuccino, bacon brie & cranberry pannini and chips for £10.20. Chips tasted a little greasy but overall nice lunch. Welcomes dogs (will bring mine when she's a bit better behaved!).

Lovely cafe in the hangar, friendly staff and tasty food! Just steps away from the sea, free parking right outside. Highly recommended 👍

Yes, just a cafe, but turns out good cafe food, also does daily specials most of the time. Good value and pleasant service. A regular stop in for those who are in the area.

Lovely dog friendly place, a little tucked away gem, very tasty and perfect for a hangover! Should definitely upgrade to somewhere with outdoor seating and where they'll get the attention they deserve.

Called in for coffee whilst visiting Mount Batten. Service was basic and chaotic. Indoor area quite dark and outside seating located in a cramped area.

We popped in here on the off chance because we were both hungry. It was tucked away but a right hidden gem. I had the prawn doorstop sandwich and my husband had the bacon, cranberry and brie panini. It was so tasty and the homemade coleslaw was perfect. Amazing food for a good price, and dog friendly to boot.

Walked our dog on Mountbatten beach for the first time and visited the Galley Kitchen for a spot of lunch as my friend had recommended it. Fantastic little place, good food at reasonable prices and it's so nice to find a place where dogs are welcome inside. I enjoyed one of the best bacon baps I've ever tasted, crammed full of well cooked bacon whilst my husband had any all day breakfast. Very friendly owner and we will definitely visit again next time we're in the area.

I frequently walk our family dog around the Mountbatten area which has the most beautiful views. I must admit I often walked past this hidden gem wondering if it would be okay. I’m happy to say having got caught in a downpour we as a family hid inside to avoid the rain. We have returned frequently since that day. June and her staff are so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast food is excellent with all local fresh produce. I was very impressed. Even Tilly loves it as it’s dog friendly with dog biscuits !!

Quaint little cafe. Fantastic staff, nothing is too much trouble. If it's not on the menu just ask they maybe able to assist. Dog friendly with free dog biscuits and do take always too.

Good food, reasonable (in fact, bargain ) prices, friendly and efficient service. They get four stars instead of five due to limited hours but mainly because there is no view at all. This place has as much ambience as a prison cell. If you are this close to the waterfront but you can't see any water, well, that's a problem. However if you are okay with no view then you will love this place for the great food at a bargain price with excellent service.

Google says shuts 3.30. Our group of 10 people would have liked a quick round of hot drinks after walking to mount batten on a chilly Sunday afternoon but the girl turned us away. What a loss of business! Disappointed to say the least
