Nowhere quite like it. Friendly, kind and welcoming. The staff are the friendliest team I’ve met while on coffee adventures around Plymouth. The environment is light, comfortable and has an essence of the community support and pride that the area has in every corner. The local patrons are kind, welcoming and chatty! Again reinforcing how refreshing this community hub is. Truly somewhere for a good cup of coffee and plymouths best fresh baked goods.

Great diverse community hub. Good menu and choice in the cafe, which we used for our men's breakfast for our Church. Inexpensive and tasty food and nice selection of teas, coffees etc. We were a group of 8 people and were able to put tables together to seat all. Great atmosphere, really enjoyed this place.

Devonport live is one of the best places to go if you like good company and first class food. The range of cakes are a sight to see. Makes you want to buy one to have with your coffee or tea. All made on the premises by the manager Sarah. Who has been in the catering trade for many years, And in my opinion is one of the best confectionery baker's you would wish to meet. So if you don't believe me come and try it for yourself and enjoy the experience. Larry.

A fab, friendly community café. One of my top favourites. Good quality food, lovely coffee at very affordable prices. I also love the fact they run a pay it fords sceem here. Helping to feed and support those less fortunate in the community. I highly recommend this place to meet up with friends and family or drop in on your lunch break. Wi-Fi available. Use of board games also available. Lots of space, good service, lots of art on the walls exhibited by local artists and local crafts available to buy. They also hold regular affordable / free events and workshops. Well worth a visit. I love this place.

Love this place. £2 for a bacon bap and a good strong HOT mug of coffee. Pay it forward scheme, books and DVDs for a donation, local art to buy. Cake, breakfasts. And the water only 2 mins walk looking out over to Mount Edgecumbe and the Royal William Yard.

You really need to eat here, all food is cooked to order. They haven't heard about portion control. So expect healthy size portions.

Excellent value, food is what it is, cheap and bland but it's cooked properly an you get heaps for the cost. Not like that cafe bistro 23 went there today and very disappointed, will be sticking to Devonport Live in future.

This is a fantastic little cafe. It may not be the poshest, nor the most fancy, but what you do get is excellent food at incredibly good value in a local community cafe. Since discovering this cafe I've ventured here at least once a week. The staff are always friendly and obliging too.

Incredible value for money, nice tiday spacious cafe, I would say the hash browns should be crispier but perhaps that is just personal preference.

The cafe is a very friendly and lively place to go the staff are very welcoming and the service is to a high standard, nothing is to much trouble for all who work there, you can book the place for private higher or just come in and meet the locals, plus games for kids to play with and art and craft for sale to anybody

Lovely place to eat and have a coffee

We have visited Devonport Live a number of times, it’s very affordable and the staff are always friendly. These photos were taken at a family day organised last month. We attended with InGameUK, played loads of fun board games and drank coffee, it was awesome! 😊👍

A Gem of a cafe hidden near mount wise.

Very much a café for the community, Sarah and her team are friendly and pour themselves into the cafe and its mission. They look after everyone with a smile on their face, food and coffee are all good, and very reasonably priced.

Friendly staff great service cheap prices and if you don't have money they will let you have a free drink and also food . And you can also put a donation in the pot which go to helping people who have no money . And all the food is fresh every day.

Acting as a base for Labour's Devonport campaign team on thursday... this little cafe is so vibrant and full of lovely people. Fantastic staff and amazingly good prices plus rocky road to die for, definitely worth a trip and I will be returning!

What you she is what you get, no frills food

The owners attitude is perfect for this setting friendly and efficient without being over the top.

You get a really cup of coffee here.the menu is basic but well prepared and fantastic value. You will not find a cheaper cappuccino of comparable quality anywhere! Plenty of parking and locally produced crafts on sale. If you go once then you will return. Trust me. super portions. You do not get prissy foil wrapped mini portions of butter or jam. You get a v decent amount. The portions of beans are big. A thee egg cheese omelette for £1-50! This is an honest to goodness place. I love it.

Devonport Live cafe is an absolute delight. Excellent home made food served in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Portions are extremely generous and the food very reasonably priced. Art and craft work from the community is displayed and available for purchase. Local groups use the cafe as a base and everyone is made to feel very welcome. Although George street is tucked away in a side street, it's a perfect place to relax after a pleasant walk around Mount Wise.

Amazing dog friendly and welcoming cafe. The staff and customers are all so cheerful and are always there to help with a smile. It's a place that hosts many community fun events such as movie nights, craft clubs and book clubs. Devonport Live Cafe is a great place for support and even a chat. The cafe serves excellent home-made food, cakes and biscuits (serves gluten free) all at a astonishingly cheap price! The cafe also doubles ads community shop where you can bring artwork and any other creations of yours to be displayed and hopefully sold! There is also a Pokéstop outside!

Makes my job easier and pleasurable. I meet members of the local time bank and community here all the time. There are craft groups, book clubs, social groups, exhibition spaces and local craftivist sellers all in one compact and bijoux space. If you want to be somewhere where everyone is interested in you, your conversation, activity and happenings, then this is the perfect place. Anyone holidaying or passing through is going to find a really big welcome. I love the buy it forward scheme. It means that everyone, regardless of income, is welcome here. It's a place where people can engage with the community and suggest community events and activities. Plus, the hot chocolate is decent - made from chocolate buttons and not powder! There's so much more to say about what is happening here, but then I have to leave you wanting to find out for yourself!

Good food, good ambience, well priced!

The Humidity Response team have been visiting Devonport Live Cafe for our lunches for the past three months now while working at the Clowance Street flats. Nothing is too much trouble for them, very accommodating and excellent food served quickly.

Came for a meal as part of the real.junk food project. Lovely cafe with a really inclusive and welcoming vibe. My son loved the toys and we liked looking at the various crafts and cards while we enjoyed our food. A hidden gem in Devonport but one worth seeking out.

Community cafe run by mum daughter and volunteers. So inspirational and friendly. Also they sell arts & crafts made by local residents. Also brilliant drama and dance performances Plus film nights. If you have a teenager or a mum and dad, and you want to all enjoy yourselves and see something that enhances your evening, the last night is tonight - Brazen Angels from Fisher Centre 18:15 on tonight .

I pop in everyday for a brew and a butty with me dog! An Americano with hot milk and freshly made large bacon butty for only £2.50...a bargain. I can even phone up and Sarah will make me a couple of large pork and apple sausage rolls to order. Only 50p each!

Part of the vast regeneration work continuing over vast areas of the Devonport area of Plymouth, this is a community cafe open 10 til 4 Tuesday to Saturday welcoming all comers but particularly geared towards local businesses and residents. It serves good value homely snack food and meals including hearty soups, sandwiches and jacket potatoes. There is full free wi-if and other online connections. It has links with its sister community cafe in the old St Aubyn church sometimes known as Routes Cafe which has many of the same facilities. Devonport Live is popular friendly and seems to work well.
