We absolutely loved Morellos, from the vintage-look interior with its pink and turquoise furnishings and monochrome chequered floor, to the delicious cake and coffee! Service was friendly, efficient and attentive and we will definitely go there again. We loved the music too.

A night in the Station House while we visited relatives in the area. We had the Brent room for the first time, which had a bath and shower. Quiter than other rooms so less easy to hear the trains on the nearby mainline. Seems to be at the rear of the building. The room system works for us because it gives us the freedom to come and go as we like. My wife and her guests had a light lunch there, veg soup, which was very good.

Expensive coffee that isn't great and cake that isn't much to write about. £16 for 2 latte and 2 carrot cake and a sml pot of pringles seems extortionate. Not impressed. Was busy as event on but no great hospitality. Just a number given and screamed out to collect paper cup lidded coffee. £16 wasted imo

Zappa’s has a great choice of salads, pies, cakes, smoothies and many other goodies, all plant based and much of it organic.. yay! Lovely staff, brilliant location and generous portions. We stayed in their delightful East meets West room above the cafe and enjoyed a very comfortable 3 nights, with everything we could have wanted. A large room with a super king sized bed and an en-suite with a beautiful bath made entirely of brass. It felt very indulgent, quirky in a really good way and with many luxurious touches .. they could charge a much higher room rate, the cost was extremely modest. Highly recommend the room we had and breakfast in the cafe was lovely.

We had the lunchtime tasting menu- it was very nice with some lovely tasting food. But all the very elaborate cooking was often lost- we couldn’t taste the hay in the hay baked beetroot (even though it was very tasty) and the foam with the (remarkably small portion) sea bass just tasted a bit milky. We wondered if the chef might try a little less hard and end up with the same impact. Service was friendly and generally attentive, although it got stretched when two parties of six arrived.

Was lovely sat in the sun with a pizza, cheesy garlic bread and a drink and the area where you sit was just so good. The pizza was delicious and had so much flavour and the coffee at Pizzalogica was made perfectly.

When on our way back home from visiting Mothecombe Gardens/ craft fair spotted this cute cafe behind car park. Had a lovely coffee and shared a cumberland sausage/bacon /egg and toasted brioche bun which was perfection(and we are both quite critical of food when out as we cook ourselves from scratch) and wish we had had one each. Asked the very pleasant and courteous chef/owner? if the sausages were local and he confirmed they were from butcher round the corner, so went and got some to take home. Really enjoyed the brief stop and congratulated the cafe for the lovely shared lunch. One point I would mention is perhaps a little bit of sprucing up of outside area would finish this little gem off beautifully, most folks appreciate this sort of attention to surroundings but all else just lovely. Thanks.

What a lovely place to spend an afternoon! We were fortunate to be able to sit outside on a lovely sunny day for lunch. The BBQ worked really well and you could easily spend the time ordering nibbles from the menu and drinking copious amounts of Rose

Dropped in for a quick lunch. Expensive for what it is. For example a small piece of frittata and a very small salad for nine ounces odd. Went home and had toast to supplement. Disappointing as had heard good things.

Had a lovely lunch here with my daughter. I had a salad which was really fresh and presented nicely. My daughter had a panini which was also presented nicely and very tasty. Menu was good value with lots to choose from and all the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back.

We enjoyed a scrumptious lunch, perfectly cooked beef, in absolutely beautiful surroundings. Heaven in Devon! Not only can you sample a fantastic Sunday lunch in the bright and airy marquee in the summer, and the barn in the winter months, but the cafe offers an array of tasty dishes, coffee and cakes. If you've not been you're missing out.
