Food excellent and staff so polite and friendly, the local people that were in there and the staff made us feel very welcome and had a good old chat with us, lovely place, Would definitely recommend. Will definitely be returning when in the area again.

Went as part of a regular group, staff were nice and the steak was nicely cooked.

So so selection of lager, but garden was lovely and service was good.

Haven't been here for year's,it used to bey local, but went down hill. Thought I would give it a go due to the reviews I've read. Glad I did Super fish and Chips in delicious batter. My friends had Ham egg and Chips, and burgers all very well cooked and presented. Not the quickest service but OK. Prices reasonable. Will definitely call again. Thanks 🙏👍

Had a meal as we were on holiday 2girls serving excellent chatted with us food excellent even came afterwards to ask if the steak was ok as people before said it was cut wrong .been before will return again pudding was great a lot of it and filling .I asked for a starter but they don't do them anymore it says they do on there website one girl did say it needs to be changed didn't spoil my meal.

Just had the Hunters chicken + Scampi and chips. Excellent food and service. Thankyou, will be back 👍

Long time since I have been here,went for Sunday lunch here today and one of the best Sunday lunch I have out .Beef brisket was so tender.Good selection of vegetables which is my thing.Nice and hot.Will definatly go there again.

Room booked on airbnb room smelt damp was mould on window sills mould on the walls before the bunk room & in the room , disgusting flooring in the bathroom pubes in bath and dirty , as a asthma sufferer I got my stay refunded as this wasn’t even fit for my dogs and ourselves needs a damn good clean out, airbnb did a full investigation and after sendin videos and pics of accommodation they agreed that this was not safe for our health.

Cosy locals pub, bar hasnt changed much since when I work here about 20 odd years ago (2002 & 2003) Has pool table and live sport. Average priced for drinks. Lounge is quite big and not sure if they still do entertainment in there on a Saturday night like they used to, same with the the skittles room and function room downstairs, not sure if they still get used for parties etc?

Good food, exactly what you'd expect for a village pub, very friendly, welcoming and chatty staff, the restaurant side of the pub is a large room and was fairly empty when I visited hence the lower score for atmosphere, but I imagine on a busier evening it would have a lovely buzz about it. I will be returning.

An amazing drop in ..with our booking a table for 3. They listened to my allergy requirements..the chef looked my order in olive oil... There is no other hospitality venue..that has ever done this .. the landlady is superb..she has been serving people for 10 years... She deserves a big huge smile when you choose her lovely to have a quick lunch... Highly recommend... Would give her and her team more stars if I was able and will be back to visit very soon 👍

Hands down the best burgers. Succulent thick patty, delicious relish & fresh garnish accompanied with rich creamy coleslaw & crispy fries. Delicious

Just been to the Westward and got to say we go out most Sundays all over Torbay and Plymouth area and our food was the best we have had for a very long time. The staff were excellent and very welcoming. Well worth a visit.

Went for a club Xmas social dinner.Splendid service,outstanding meal,and plenty of it.Value for money without question.Club dinner again this Xmas,and will be making more visits till then with my family.Wifey is difficult to please,and she loved it! I can honestly highly recommend the place. Have to book,its extremely busy which speaks for itself really

It was fairly quiet being a January evening but the skittles alley downstairs was busy. Food and service excellent.

Had a lovely steak dinner here, staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s only a very short walk from the truck stop so very handy

I've been a regular customer of this pub for a number of years. The food is great, the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly and the pub is spacious and well kept.

My grandson needed Gluten Free food. The staff ere well informed. Still gave him a meal containing gluten. Apologies after 20 minutes of eat. Poor boy left being violently sick. Never go there if you have any dietary requirements

There roast on a Sunday is amazing

Had a skittles evening for Oreston Bowls club. Venue was great food was lovely. Good night had by all. Also went back and had a Christmas meal with friends. Meal was outstanding only £20 for 2 courses.

Total surprise! Food was well cooked,and plenty of it.We eill be going more regularly!

Airbnb accommodation called The Bunker below the pub. Perfect for work related overnight stay, or looking for a very affordable place to sleep. Basic & clean, double bed, fridge, microwave, kettle, small bathroom. No complaints, ticked the box for us. We spent 2 nights here while visiting friends, also ate in the pubs restaurant. Good, affordable pub food. Only 3 stars because of its location, and exit into store area for pub. On a budget, this is worth it.

I took my elderly friend for her birthday lunch and we had the best of experiences. The staff was friendly and attentive, they helped us with her access as she uses a little electric scooter. The food was delicious and the service was fast. Really good portions for mains and puddings, very reasonably priced. We will definitely return for more meals, highly recommend this place.

We celebrated our 50th Anniversary here and once again the experience was up the mark. My steak was done to perfection, the service was excellent with the staff friendly and helpful. The portion sizes are generous and the food well cooked. This is a great pub, dog friendly too. It's becoming our favourite local eatery. I would highly recommend a visit.

Had a lovely here. Attended a Muder Mystery evening...excellent. The dinner included in the price was extremely good. Food served hot on warm plates....will most definitely be returning.

Went here to celebrate my wife's birthday. The food was excellent, hot and served in a timely fashion. Staff were very friendly and they accept dogs too. Will certainly eat here again. Thoroughly recommended.

Great food. All the pub classics you would hope for and expect. This visit we had sausage and mash, mac n cheese and omelette and salad. Friendly staff and atmosphere and food obviously very freshly prepared. Not too busy on a Easter Saturday lunchtime either. Fully recommended. You won’t be disappointed

I met up with a long lost friend and we decided to go to the Westward for a drink. As we weren’t eating we went to the bar. Never again. We were made to feel like aliens. The silent stares as we entered and then ordered a lager turned into a comment asking if we were sisters followed by ‘after you drink this you’ll want to sleep with each other. ‘ What the hell ! …………. Not sure if the barman was the landlord but if he was or he wasn’t god help his business. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable entering a bar.

Excellent generously portioned roast, with lashings of gravy and tasty vegetables, though the pureed swede was perhaps a little watery for my liking. Couldn't contemplate a dessert after the main meal. Very good value for the money.

Great food, friendly atmosphere

Great option for lunch pit stop just off A38 on way to Cornwall. Open for lunch out of season on a Monday which isn't always the case. Nice atmosphere, welcoming, family friendly with great ale, lager and cider options including rattler on tap, nice fresh baguettes, good childrens meals and loads of great desserts! Recommend.

After a cold dog walk, stopped off at the westward inn for a drink. The luxury hot chocolate was just what I needed. Presented beautiful and thank you to the waitress Kerry for the recommendation. Definitely will be recommending to friends and family.

First visit to the pub and pleasantly surprised. Friendly landlord and landlady, good quality tasty food and a good atmosphere.

Miserable landlady - awful food. Food has not always been as bad as this visit but alas the landlady is never welcoming or smiles. Should not be in this job.

We are a small bowls club who had our Xmas get together at their skittles function room. Everyone had a fun night. Food hot and tasty great night had by all.

Popped into the Westward Inn tonight for a large Jameson. "Sure"; the barman says then disappears like forever. Needless to say I left (why spend my hard earned money in a place that can't be arsed to serve you one drink). What a joke of a place!

Reasonable prices,also a small appatite menu,plus a large car park which a bonus.

We visited for early dinner after our swimming session. We had a warm welcome & the food was very good well cooked & presented. The staff were very attentive to our disabled daughter makng sure she had everything she needed & they spoke to her as a person (so few people do!)

Good service excellent food great play area for children recommended if you have little ones they can play and you can keep an eye on them while you enjoy the food

With our usual choice of pub being fully booked, we devided to give The Westward Inn a go. So glad we did as it’s somewhere we will definitely be returning to. The pub is fairly basic with painted tongue and groove panelling in a farmhouse style and clean and comfortable. Our welcome was warm and although the lady serving seemed to be on her own - and rushed off her feet - the food and drink was served promptly. With five of us in the group, there were choices included fish & chips, sausage & mash, burger, lasagne, a childs all day breakfast and a couple of desserts We all agreed that it was excellent - especially the homemade sticky toffee pudding!

We pre-ordered a meal to be served at 20.30 . We arrived a few minutes beforehand to order some drinks. Dead on time our meal was bought to our table, piping hot and nicely presented by the landlord. The meal itself was delicious and of ample portions .. The total price for food & drink was very reasonable and the surrounding very pleasant and spacious. We would have no hesitation in recommending The Westward Inn at Lee Mill and there's plenty of free car parking and disabled access and facilities.

Longer wait time than we’d hoped but the staff were not only apologetic but really made sure that we were happy whilst we waited and with the food when it arrived. We enjoyed ourselves and will likely be back.
