Distinctly average. I would go as far as saying it was just about ok, but I am not going to rush back there. Menu for Farmers Breakfast Special said egg, but when I asked for poached egg I was told “no” and that they do them on a griddle.

The staff are always so friendly and welcoming. With delicious locally sourced food the 'Farmers Breakfast Special' is a must! We love coming here as a family. Plus with many delightful goodies for sale in the shop, and a decent butchers counter. It has everything you need in one place. We can highly recommend this marvellous farm shop and café.

It's quite a small farm shop but I think that's part of the reason as to why we loved it. A really good range of local products and the staff are so lovely. The breakfast absolutely exceeded our expectations. We have never had such a good breakfast at a farm shop! Probably even one of the best breakfasts we have ever had at any cafe. Absolutely recommend and we will definitely be coming back!

The food and service at Dean Court Farm shop is first class. Every time myself and my husband have eaten there, the food has been exceptional! The variety of freshly made soups served with a choice of a wedge of crusty wholemeal bread or a cheese and onion toastie, are full of flavour and great value. The menu includes many choices from a farmers breakfast, curries, soups, toasties, jacket potatoes and bubble and squeak, just to mention a few. The farm shop is great for locally sourced produce including fresh vegetables, meats and gifts. We would highly recommend a visit, you won't be disappointed!

Not at all what I was expecting from a farm shop and I have been to many. To be fair it was November and miserable weather, and limited stock. Seems to be a popular local breakfast spot. It wasn't suitable for our purpose which was to meet up with family, we didn't get to try the food so can't comment.

We stopped off from the A38, on our way to Cornwall and found this lovely little cafe inside. The breakfast was delicious, non-greasy and included fresh organic produce and a glass of fruit juice. I had a tea cake which tasted as though it had been freshly baked. The coffee we had was organic and a perfect blend. We really enjoyed the quality of our food and drink. It was also excellent value for money. The staff were helpful and friendly and the shop was stocked with useful and eco friendly items. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

My dad and I stopped by after taking our dog for a walk nearby, we have been before covid and this place was fine. However, our recent trip was extremely disappointing. The older woman serving was grumpy and clearly didn’t want to be there (the young girl was friendly enough). We asked if we could sit outside because it was such a nice day, to be told that our stuff would have to be ‘takeaway’. When our soup arrived, it was in a small coffee cup (clearly no where near the amount that you would get given in a soup bowl obviously!!) yet we were charged full price. Our two cup full of soups, a ginger beer and a coffee came to over £20!! Absolutely disgusting pricing (which would have been slightly (still expensive) more reasonable if we had actually had a bowl full of soup!!). Charging someone £6 each for a cupful of soup is absolutely terrible. Definitely won’t be returning.

Both my husband and I attended Dean Court Farm Shop (cafe) today and choose the Soup Combo (soup and a toastie), followed by apple cake. Well both my husband and I must say the cafe farm shop atmosphere is just delightful, and the staff were pleasant and attentive when required, but the real reason I am writing this review is because the food quality is wonderful, I would not normally mention soup! but the homemade soup was truly amazing, I would go as far as to say it was Michelin standard, certainly the best you can have! If you are travelling on the A38, it is a three minute turn off, (Dean Prior) at Buckfastleigh, treat yourselves!

This place is a real find. Just off the A38 at Dean Prior near Ashburton in South Devon it's easy access. Plenty of parking too but the highlight is the delicious food. Home made, with an extensive but not too elaborate menu, the staff are super helpful. There's indoor & outdoor seating. We had fantastic home made vegetable soup with the freshest sourdough, made locally. We had delicious coffees alongside and in fact had to repeat our coffee order to accompany pudding which was scrumptious home made carrot cake. Also though this place is super genuine and as such a real treat. The prices are reasonable and if you fancy browsing the shop, plenty to tempt alongside a fantastic butchery. A great place to meet friends or join family.

We called in for lunch with our 17 month old grand daughter as we passed on our way back from the lovely Pennywell Farm, and were made to feel very welcome and immediately offered a high chair. The service in the cafe is excellent, staff are friendly and could not be more helpful. The food was very nice and good value and facilities and the cafe were spotlessly clean. There is a slight wait for meals after ordering but only to be expected with good, freshly prepared food - our waitress thoughtfully brought some cucumber sticks to occupy our grand daughter while our meal was prepared. Nice farm shop attached where we enjoyed some shopping on the way out. Will definitely eat here again.

I love a farm shop, however it was disappointing that when I walked in to order soup they served big bowls to the customers indoors and a small cup to customers who sat outside. Paying the same price I'd expect either to pay less or have the same sort of container/bowl size. I understand they have disposable containers for outside but I was disappointed to say the least. Soup was OK.

Ended up buying a load of eggs and a fresh chicken with a huge joint of pork that was on offer for 12.99.
