Nice enough restaurant. Simple menu but very tasty food. Staff are friendly and efficient, prices are reasonable. Has vegan options and decent side options.
We have visited the elder a few times over recent months and the food and service have always been exceptional. So we thought we would experience their recently launched afternoon tea. It did not disappoint! The food was exceptional. As were their selection of fine teas. A Freshly made selection of finger sandwiches accompanied by the finest venison sausage roll and delicate cheese twist. To follow, the most beautiful treats. A trip down nostalgia lane with a gorgeous Battenberg slice, along with a sweet lemon and blueberry macaron. Then, what felt like an Italian twist on a tiramisu which was so incredibly light and delicious. However, to top these delights was a zingy raspberry cheesecake tart. This was so good! And the perfect way to finish. We were so full by the end that we had to share one scone between the 6 of us just so we could sample the finest homemade strawberry jam. We asked for a box to take the rest home. When putting these delights in the box we came across some warm Eccles cakes. Of course we had to find room for these little wonders. They were just something else!
So, if you need that special place to eat in this beautiful Roman city then check out the Elder. You will be wowed. The Ambience, the service, the food….. all top class. This place deserves a star.
Excelente café que admite perros justo al lado de la abadía en el baño. Los cruasanes rellenos son absolutamente deliciosos y el personal es muy amable

Picked here as next to where we were staying but really pleased we did. Served by 3 friendly and diligent staff, prompt service and pizzas ( I got lost on what base to order but..) they were all delicious. Pudding of tiramisu was great too!.
"I was excited to try their lamb haleem, but unfortunately, it was nothing like the authentic dish I was expecting. Haleem is a slow-cooked stew made with a combination of wheat, lentils, and meat (usually lamb or chicken), cooked to a creamy, rich consistency. It's known for its spices and depth of flavour.
However, what I received was more like a dish with dal and meat pieces rather than the smooth, well-blended texture of traditional haleem. It didn’t have the signature creamy consistency or the complex spice profile that you would typically find in a true haleem.
It was a let-down as I had specifically come for that dish. I was hoping for a much more authentic and flavourful experience."

Really nice and quirky village pub with friendly staff and locals. I love the lighting effects and it looks so warm and welcoming at night, Food is standard but decent pub fayre. I thoroughly enjoyed my fish and chips.
Landlord Duncan went out of his way a couple of times to sort me out with food. Once after I arrived at the nearby caravan site and outside normal food hours he got a sandwich fixed up for me. On the Sunday night he helped me get and takeaway in via a friend who was collecting one for him.
The general vibe here is very relaxed with a sensible vaping policy.
I’ve very much enjoyed this being my local for the duration of my long weekend in the village . I look forward to visiting this lovely pub again on future visits.
Me and my partner have visited Europa on many occasions and have enjoyed it every time. This is our fourth time now, and we've never been disappointed. I had the gamberoni to start and the linguine marinara as my main, and it was full of flavour! Would definitely recommend it.
Cracking pub! Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, and a Guinness so good it might just convince you that you’re in Dublin. If pints could get Michelin stars, this one would be at least a two-star Guinness experience. Highly recommend!
I was staying on holiday 2 minutes walk down the road. Came here for a few beers and the football, was a brilliant atmosphere and very friendly locals and staff, will be back
