We booked a table for a Sunday roast and it was fantastic! The meat was perfectly cooked and the vegetables were really tasty. This was one of the best roasts I’ve ever had, so I’d definitely recommend trying it. The only slight downside was that our table was downstairs in the basement; it would have been nicer to be sat upstairs with a better view… Maybe next time!
Came here to try it out due to the high reviews. It didn’t disappoint. The chocolate brownie ice cream was full of flavour and the texture of the ice cream was very smooth. £4 for a small
Scoop is the only downfall I would give the store.

Tidy boozer. Great selection of drinks. Personally faves of Guinness and Heineken on tap. Good atmosphere. Good range of tasty food at a good price. Good service. Pool and darts. Live sports. Plenty of Bristol City memorabilia! 🍻
Terrible service, overhearing the person on the telephone being disrespectful to a client who had just ordered just summed up the professionalism of the restaurant. It was clear to me that the client wanted some advice on several different curries but the employee on the telephone was just rude. Food was below average. There was no taste to the food, the food felt rush and there no attention to detail. If you have not experience good Indians before you may rate this high however, this experience was below average. I would not recommend going here, also the portion size to value of money was poor.
Llamé aquí para un almuerzo tardío y parada de repostaje después de hacer el Circuito de Bath caminata. Ambiente agradable / entorno, y café / té / pastel muy decente. Recomendado.
Sadly the constant price increases (4 in past 12 months - 2 in past 2 months) now make it the most expensive pub in the area by far since new management took over. Used to have a great lunch menu and specials in the evening, which built the pub a fantastic reputation for food locally - hence the previous reviews. If it wasn't for the friendly staff, I'd have given a lower rating.
Visited for lunch and couldn’t really get anything we wanted. All sandwiches are pre made which really doesn’t allow you to have what you want, you just end up with certain things you like but with some ingredients you might not.
I was told they don’t make up anything any more because there’s ‘only 3 of us and it gets too busy’. Well it was bang in the middle of lunchtime and there was only ourselves and 2 other people in the shop, hardly overrun!
I even asked if they could put some coronation chicken on a wrap with a bit of salad, to which I was told no, obviously.
The only thing they would make up was salad boxes where they added a filling on top of certain salads, be interesting to see how much longer it would take to add those ingredients to a roll instead of a salad bowl, I’m guessing not much if anything.
I bet they also have far more wastage pre making.
Not sure how businesses survive sometimes..
