Lovely homemade sandwiches, baps, panini's, baguettes and wraps made to order. Personal favourite is their breakfast bap the whammy, available all day and a decent cup of tea. Places to sit or perch too, can't go wrong!
I'd upload a phot, but I've just eaten it!
My husband and myself were visiting bath for the Christmas market and were delighted we were going to be in Bath on the same day as old friends we hadn't seen for a few years due to covid and geography. We chose the grumpy baker due to reviews and were not disappointed. We were there for a good few hours and with cases as we were flying home straight after the lunch. No one objected or said we were in the way. We had coffee, toasted Panini's, then tea and delicious cakes. We had not met the children before and basically had a wonderful time in what felt like our living room. The café was busy, pleasant ,welcoming and the staff were always smiling and helpful. I can see why so many families go there. Clean and with lovely food reasonably priced. If I lived in Bath I would be a regular visitor. Merry Xmas to the very happy staff at the Grumpy Baker.

Been here a couple of times now whilst visiting friends in bath and wish this place was near my home as I’d go here all the time. Great service and friendly staff. Great tasting beers and nice clean environment. Was here with live music and food stalls out the front so was a great end to the night. Also dog friendly so was great for us. Good competitive priced beer. And will return next time in bath. Cheers guys :)

It's a social club not a pub don't do any food only crisps and nuts good selection of drinks they have a games room up stairs and a skittle alley downstairs membership only
Visited today for egg and bacon rolls. Staff superb, especially Elliott who was an excellent server as was the other young lad working alongside him. Our visit today was heartwarming and thoroughly enjoyable. What an amazing place! Nick and Mitch
The “Bath Landlady” has done a fantastic job at the pub. Was a pub with a reputation of Fosters lager, and some interesting people. Now it’s cool, with an excellent selection of drinks, it’s been stripped back and now feels like a proper pub, with plenty of live music and a hip clientele. As a former Bath pub landlord, this pub is bang on
This is the best fish and chips takeaway in the locality, never had a poor meal.
They also offer a range of other takeaway foods but I have not experienced them so far
We rolled up at 7:30PM with a party of 9, and these guys were more than happy to accommodate us and give us a wonderful evening experience. The food and service was great, warm, friendly and hospitable, all in a unique setting. Thank you.
Kingwood Rotary Club have their weekly lunch-time meeting in one of the dining rooms here in this up-market private membership Golf Club in Saltford (approximately halfway between Bristol and Bath). As former members of another local Rotary Club that had now sadly closed, we had been invited to lunch. Today there was a speaker organised to provide his presentation of ‘The Dramway’ (a nine-mile-long horse-drawn railway carrying coal leading from coalmines in Coalpit Heath to a wharf on the River Avon at Keynsham).
The bar and dining area in the club house was very busy and I was surprised on such a busy lunchtime that there was only one barman on duty. Having eventually purchased our drinks we walked through to a meeting room which was separated-off from the large bar/meeting area by a sliding partition. Such partitions are, by nature, lightweight and this did little to supress the noise generated by the large gathering of people occupying the adjacent area.
That aside our arrival into this meeting room, where tables were laid out and ready for our lunch, was a pleasant experience. The seating was most comfortable and the room was warm. Lunch was promptly served, a chicken roast dinner with coffee to follow. The lunch was very good; the chicken was well cooked and very tender, and the vegetables were excellent and served hot. The meal-size was modest and most satisfactory. I was pleasantly surprised as my usual experiences when dining in a large group (approximately 40 people) is that when many meals are served concurrently the quality of the meals (mostly with the temperature) usually suffer.
Service was most pleasant and efficient here in the dining room and we enjoyed the whole occasion.
