I was honestly pretty disappointed with this place. There were only two small tables inside and despite there being plenty of seating outside, it was too windy and cold to sit there. Obviously they can't help the size of the space but more seating could definitely have been included indoors. I was expecting there to be plenty of vegan options but it turned out most things had egg or cheese or some sort of dairy. This was really disappointing and totally unnecessary. So many of the options could have been made without the dairy. Also the staff weren't confident as to whether the peanut free salad may actually contain peanuts, and given the only other salad option also had peanuts in, I was not able to have either of these (peanut allergy, obviously!). Not only this but there seemed to be a strange atmosphere amongst the staff. The woman who I assume was the owner seemed passive aggressive towards her staff and aloof to the customers. I almost felt apologetic for asking to pay or where we could find a toilet. We ordered coffee and cake after lunch but the banana bread was almost comically dry, and not toasted, despite them confirming they would toast it. It was rock solid like a brick. Maybe this place has newly opened and they are still finding their feet. Some aspects were great, like the aesthetics of the place and the flavours of some of the foods we ordered. But overall I was very disappointed and hope that they make more effort to make their customers feel welcome and include more vegan options, given the name and ethos of the place.

Our first visit as a family. Bland over priced food ,people serving not very engaged not good with children. Never been to a sit down cafe with no toilet facilities. When asked , told I could walk into town to find one. Not great when you have a 6 year old desperate for a wee. Place looks nice however Really disappointing !!!!!

Great place with amazing views of the harbor. Great selection of unique, fresh sweet and savoury vegetable and vegan food. It is definitely worth a visit if your ever in the bristol harbour area (they are a bit tucked away but I think it makes this place even more special)

Delicious coffee and incredible leek and béchamel sandwich for a reasonable price. Great location to sit and watch the harbour. Top stuff.

On the harbour side in beautiful Bristol, The vegetable Diva was recommended to us by family members and we loved it! Very tasty vegetarian Meditaranian/ Indian inspired loveliness at very reasonable prices, especially as this gem of a cafe is right on the harbour side opposite the Great Britain. It also served the lemoniest lemonade I've ever tasted! There's lots of competition for food custom in the area and lots of lovely places to eat, but I'd choose to go back to The Vegetable Diva in a heartbeat. As we Bristolians say, it was gert lush!!

There was a lovely aroma as we walked in. A small but carefully chosen selection of food. We had a Mumbai burger and aubergine wrap. Both were full of flavour and suitably filling. Staff were friendly too. All enjoyed alongside a beautiful view of the harbour.

Found this new place today as we walked on the higher path. Looked good so gave it a go. Lovely people who were happy to explain the food. Tried the Mumbai burger which was very filling and the vegetable lasagna. Both full of flavour but not over powering which suited us. Service was quick although there were not many people here. Would I come here again - yes certainly would.

Living round the corner for me, this isn't so much a restaurant but a local food store.Fresh veg, yummy quiches and wraps, definitely not-low-calorie cakes, plus larder essentials such as lentils. But if you're buying to take away they don't provide packaging - so take your own containers, or invest in one of their use and reuse metal ones. Once you know it's there you'll come back, but they could do with better signage on the lower level, and currently not being helped by the waterside walk being shut due to building works. Perhaps the developers of those £400K flats will give compensation for lost business! Service isn't fast, but very helpful.

The idea is great but although there were 5 people on duty it took over 10 minutes to produce two coffees although these were very good baring there was no soya milk ! Had a couple of vegetable 'cupcakes' that were excellent but the policy of zero packaging meant no serviettes ?. All the food looked fresh and inviting but there is a lot of competition around the harbourside from well established businesses including Better Foods so need to be sharper to succeed. Hopefully they will.

This is a new and exciting place on the upper level of the harbour inlet with a stunning view of the SS Great Britain. The food I had, you must take your own container, was stunning. I normally avoid veggie restaurants but I will NOT be avoiding this one. Stunning food

Popped into their new location in the Ram this morning, with a friend. Amazing, great coffee, a secret sausage roll to die for, great staff...time to chat and a great atmosphere.

I visit Picnic Coffee every week for the delicious coffee and lemon drizzle cake. However, the staff just bring my order to the table and walk away without a word or a glance at me. Where are the staff other reviewers praise so highly?

Visited this cafe with my 2 children, we had a drink first the children done some colouring which they enjoyed, We then went into the soft play area cost £4 per child adult £1 , your in there for a hour, the children had a lovely time, my only complaint is they were not allowed to leave the soft play area for a drink as if they did they wouldn’t be allowed back in,
