Had a good lunch, friendly and quick service. Good food. What I am bothered to write about is that 1. when I paid the bill service charge was already included on the bill (no notification given), 2. when I added my tip on top, the manager did not inform me that a service charge had already been added. Please inform your customers!

Dropped in for a spot of lunch recently, yes we did... and that sauasage roll tasted like a cowpat... a little salt & pepper wouldn't come amiss, eh? The cheese fans in our party craved more of that stuff & deemed it worthy of distinction... As for the toilets... busted flush & weren't working anyhow: come on, guys, you need clean, functioning toilets in this 21st. Century, no?

I popped in on a rare child free day, after going past daily but never going in. I enjoyed a coffee, and a piece of cake to die for. The staff were wonderfully friendly, especially Grace and Daryl, and by the end of my visit we were chatting like old friends! I ventured into the cheese shop afterwards and acquired myself some stunning cheese. I will definitely be back for the coffee and kindness of the staff, and highly recommend to anyone.

This is really a message to the owner of this cafe, which looks great and by all accounts is excellent. I just wish we had been given the opportunity to try it, However, the weird behaviour of the Manager who prevented us from using the slightly busy restaurant, with a full cake selection at 1:30 pm on a Saturday, meant we couldn’t. The ridiculous reasons he gave were: - he couldn’t give good customer service to every one already seated (there were about 20 covers for 2 staff to service!!!) - he would have to wash up some more cutlery and plates! He even refused to allow us to wait inside or outside the restaurant for a table to become free (ps. A table finished and became free as we we’re trying to comprehend the ridiculous discussion) or to come back later as he might run out of things (isn’t that the point???). If I were the owner, I would sack the Manager as he WILL drive you out of business. This may sound harsh, but he clearly doesn’t really understand the role of a restaurant (ie. To serve customers and sell the food!). I hope to return one day, when you have trained your staff in the basics.

Out of this world!!! This is an absolutely amazing place. The cafe (Le Piantagioni Del Caffe) has the most delicious and reasonably priced breakfast I’ve ever had. I had mushrooms on toast and my husband had a bacon roll - both were outstanding!! The cafe is charming, the staff are happy, the place is very clean, and the food is awesome. We had very nice coffee too, and chatted to a regular customer, who highly recommended the lunch as well. We were going glass blowing straight afterwards (Bath Aquaglass - also highly recommended), but popped in on our way back to the car (Podium Car Park - opposite) to buy cake and macarons. Again these were fantastic. The macarons were flavoursome and the apple streusel cake was moist and yummy. We highly recommend a visit. There is seating inside, as well as tables out the front.

Wonderful service and fantastic cake and tea! The staff are truly lovely, fun and very welcoming and made our day! The cake was really lovely and we really loved the Earl Grey tea - we loved it so much we asked if it was possible to buy some to take home (sadly it wasn’t available). But on our way out the lovely young lady at the till caught up with us a short way up the road and gave us a present of some of the loose tea leaves - such a wonderfully kind gesture - it really made our day - thank you so much - it’s so nice to know there are still such friendly, generous and decent people in this world. Sadly due to covid we had to wait a while for a table, but once we were in, it turned out to be well worth the wait. The staff were phenomenal, being incredibly considerate towards our needs, as well as very friendly. The man who served us also put up with my slightly rusty attempts at speaking french. He recommended some wonderful cheese for my sister, whose birthday we were celebrating. She said that the whole experience made her day. We went to the cafe followed a friend’s recommendation but we are not impressed with the service provided there. It’s not a family friendly place as it doesn’t have a high chair for our baby girl. It doesn’t have baby changing facility, nor a child menus. We asked them make a child sandwich for our 5 year old. They made one but we are changed for the normal price for an adult. When asking the reason, they said we don’t have option to do a child’s price in their till. They obviously have the option to reduce the size of the sandwich but not option for the price. Not happy at all.

Well if it's anything like the beverage we had at this lovely little cafe then the answer is 'Most definitely'. My wife and I popped into 'The Fine Cheese Co.' recently after a busy afternoon around the galleries in the beautiful city of Bath. We've never been in before although, as we're fairly local, we've admired it from outside on several occasions. It turned out to be a real treat. My wife had Darjeeling tea while I had Earl Grey and both were delicious. Apparently it was Jing tea which I'd never heard of but I now understand is quite an exclusive brand. To accompany it I had a slice of Tunisian Orange Cake which was wonderful, so moist and flavoursome. Having read some other reviews I see that I'm not the only one to have appreciated it.

Three of us had to wait 20 minutes for a table at 2.00pm, which indicates how popular The Fine Cheese Co is despite being tucked away in a secluded part of Bath (opposite the Hilton Bath). The bonus is the parking in The Podium. Nice prosecco and wine on draft. I had a carafe of a nice red (Spanish - excellent). We had croque monsieur (plenty with lots of beetroot salad), tagine (boring - British twist on the Moroccan dish) and a brilliant Cornish dressed crab salad. It specialises in soup and salad - a US tradition which works well here. Fabulous service

Had been so looking forward to eating in this highly rated café. I choose the soup of the day because it was one of my favourites and I think a good eatery's Dish of the Day is likely to show its cooking at its best. Carrot, ginger and coriander – how could this not be delicious? The soup was virtually tasteless and the consistency not like soup at all, but over-thick, slightly stringy gloop. Oily, untoasted little croutons added nothing. I left three quarters of my lunch, despite being hungry. Realised that the lady at the adjacent table when we arrived had done the same, with a completely different dish. A bit disappointed no member of staff asked politely whether I had enjoyed my lunch!

It's a bit out of the usual tourist tracks but so worth the walk. The food is fresh and great, the service informed, responsive and attentive. They use high quality crockery (which I loved so much I ordered a set for home - from an online seller). Popped in here for a light lunch with hubby and ordered the cheese platter and the charcuterie platter or us to share. We were asked what 3 cheeses we would like on the platter but as there was such a vast array of cheeses to choose from I left the choice to them simply stating that we both enjoy very strong flavoured cheese. The choice made for us was perfect and we were told the background of each cheese on the plate and what to expect flavour wise. The cheeses were absolutely delicious as were all the meats and the accompaniments, figs, dates, olives, bread, crackers. We both had a glass of red (Grenache) which was also delicious. Cannot fault the place. Small, cosy, friendly and delicious food. We will be back.

One of my favourite addresses in Bath. We have been coming here for years. Initially mainly for the great selection of local and not so local cheeses, the wonderful crackers, jams and chutneys but in the last few years for coffee and lunch as well. One side of this quaint little shop is dedicated to cheese, charcuterie, wine and delicious accompaniments; the other side is for coffee, cakes and lunch. The quality of the foods served is absolutely superb. Both the cakes and cheeses come highly recommended. The only downside I can think of is it's popularity; as the shop is quite small, it can be hard to find a table. At lunch the wait may be a bit longer than is desirable. But be assured: it is definitely worth it.

They brought me the wrong quiche which I only discovered when I cut into it, I also noticed it was not very warm. As I then waited another 15 minutes for the correct quiche to arrive it was quite obvious that they had not made my order a priority. By this time my husand had completely finished his sandwich. This second quiche was luke warm and as I considered this to be a health hazard I refused to have it.Not only was my lunchtime treat ruined, but I was also hungry and had to go and buy a sandwich in a nearby supermarket where I had to stand to eat it.Reading through the reviews I am not the first customer to complain about cold food.

Have frequented the Fine Cheese Cmpany shop for many years. Always first class, and now the enlarged Cafe/Restaurant continues in the same way. Organic, vegetarians catered for, delicious soups, sandwiches and light lunches.

Was recommended this place. They sell cheese, local and French but also have a very good cafe. We did not book but got a table for an early lunch. We had homemade cauliflower soup and cheese and onion tarts, and we were offered half portion of soup as we were having two courses. This was a good idea as the soup was a large helping and so we enjoyed both courses. Coffee was good. Lovely courtyard at the back which was full and obviously a popular place to visit.

Very sweet little cafe adjoining to the cheese shop. A friend and I went for brunch whilst we were in Bath for the day. I had mushrooms on toast which was delicious, and my friend had granola and yogurt, which she said was great. Staff were really friendly. Wasn't too expensive. Will be back for the cheese platter, looked amazing!

When you walk in there is a great smell and the staff are very helpful. There is a small cafe at the back of the shop too!

I enjoy greatly to discover little corners in the city that have character and are great in what they do. The Fine Cheese Co. is one of these places. The food and coffee is great and the staff polite and helpful. Their deli is not short of amazing either. However in a cold winter morning the temperature in the room was uncomfortable. Had to eat with my coat and scarf on.

I had a great bowl of winter vegetable soup at a reasonable price and the coffee was good too. I refrained from the delicious looking cakes only because I'm trying to lose some weight but others were enjoying them! The outside temperature in Bath was around zero centigrade today and unfortunately I was sitting in this very busy, and obviously extremely popular, café in the line of fire from the draughty front door and I got very cold so do try to sit in the back of the café on a chilly day!

The restaurant seems a café at first sight, however, there is plenty of space if you walk in there. It also has a lovely terrace, for those who enjoy staying outside.Menu is mainly composed of sandwiches, ciabatas, salads and pastries / cakes but which is highly recommendable is the daily's menu. Nice and different dishes where the strong italian-french fusion is noticeable. I tried the lamb and the butternut risotto (also a ciabatta raclette which was good) both fulfilling (we shouldn't have asked for the starter, or at least, not a ciabatta) and tasty. It was a shame we didn't try the cakes with that warm coffee ( we were full ). We will come back soon to give the deserts a try!

We ordered some fish and chips for our wedding reception and we couldn't have asked for a better place to place our order with. From the start the team were so helpful. But they made our day so so special due to their friendliness and kindness, for that me and my now husband are so grateful. Thank you guys for providing us with the most delicious reception dinner and for your generous hospitality! - Abbey and Will.

Had to wait almost 2 hours for a driver and got the food later and most of it was cold and didn’t get any sauce which I asked for

I don't know how previous reviews were so positive, the fish itself was dry and chewy, the batter was soggy and had an odd texture. The chips were also soggy. I have had chips here before and they were awfully soggy. Peasedown deserves better.
