Service was great; front of house is very friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere is good and laid back but could be a bit more lively; music would uplift it. Food was ok. Dahl/courgette dish and felafel were really lovely. We thought the dahl was the standout dish. Bread and butter £6! I would expect some special focaccia and good olive oil Cod - really well cooked etc but fairly bland Salmon - just lacked, really needed some level of acid and fresh herbs to bring to life! Needs elevating or taking off the menu. Unfortunate as the restaurant was a recommendation from friends. We ate at the Oak the night before (also their recommendation) and some similar dishes, but all were very well executed and we left feeling on a high having had a fantastic experience. Corkage is good food and a nice restaurant, but with some many good food options we all felt a little disappointed and uninspired. Portions are decent. You do not need five dishes each as suggested! I would say we didn't eat any of the meat as opposed to fish or vegetarian dishes so they may hit the mark. Overall, a good meal just not a great meal.

Visitied on 7th April 2025 with my partner, and we had been really looking forward to it. Although we hadn’t made a reservation, we were seated quickly, which was a great start. The food was a bit of a mixed bag. The tomatoes, sole, and bread with smoked butter were absolutely fantastic—definitely the highlight of the meal. However, the dessert, a pistachio cake, didn’t quite live up to expectations. The main reason I'm writing this was service was also a bit inconsistent. Both myself and my partner work in hospitality and have for years - our waitress appeared to be new (not a problem in itself as everyone has to start somewhere) but was on her phone near our table several times, which felt unprofessional especially in such a intimate restaurant making it hard to ignore. On the other hand, there was one individual (wearing a blue and white striped shirt) who seemed to be managing the floor. He was clearly very busy but was friendly, attentive, and really tried to ensure everything went smoothly and definitley deserves praise. I overheard a few guests complaining about some issues, but we didn’t experience any of those ourselves. It was clear he was doing his best, and I felt bad for how he was being treated. Overall, it wasn’t quite what we expected, but I still appreciated the effort from the management.

A brilliant restaurant for a truly memorable meal. The sharing dishes are generous, and delicious. I appreciated variety of meat, fish and vegetarian choices. The peanut arancini and pork cheek ragu were excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful, particularly with food allergies and recommendations. We have been to the cork a few times as love their wines, Alex is very passionate and always helps to recommend ones to us. We decided to go for food and it did not disappoint, we had 4 small plates and a pudding each (2 people) and we were stuffed! The courgette and miso plate was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten and the rest was brilliant and beautifully presented. We are quite fussy with food and often disappointed so this was a great experience. Loads of vegetarian options as well.

Disappointing. Had bread with balsamic and oil, the bread was very heavy and dense which wasn't nice, and the balsamic was almost all oil. Then had falaffel which were greasy and undercooked, I left this, with a not nice tasting flat bread and tzatziki that was watery and tastless. The arancini was claggy, greasy and I could not see any grains of rice, was more of a mush, I could not even eat this. The courgette was fine. My husband ordered the pork Belly which he said was really nice and I had the mussels which were tasty. The wine by the glass was very expensive, they may be a wine bar but I wanted a malbec but at £17,50 for a large glass I decided to have a beer. I did not enjoy the meal at all and left very disappointed. The place itself has a nice atmosphere.

Everything was excellent, not just the food and drinks, service, and general atmosphere - the acoustics and the music were so good that we noticed how we could talk to each and hear ourselves, but not the other tables. Sensational food. Iconic wine. Brilliant service. Really can't recommend this place enough, the wine was so good. The food was original and delicious, especially the arancini and the celeriac. I'd send everyone I met here, the oyster mushrooms were divine, chargrilled to perfect. The waitor was friendly and helpful. Only down note was the cod which was underseasoned and a bit meaty, lemon helped but could and should have been half the width and seasoned with citrus.

Some really brilliant flavours in this small tapas and wine bar, like the arancini bursting with umami in a blue cheese sauce with celeriac and truffle, and the dahl with coconut yogurt was better than the dahl we get in brick lane in London. I've eaten in Corkage regularly over the years and twice in the last month. As I write, Tripadvisor has it at 74/345 best restaurants in Bath. It is true that Bath has loads of great restaurants but Corkage at 74 is a travesty. The food - small plates - are all delicious and head chef Rob really makes sure they are a cut above the rest. Best small plates in Bath? Almost certainly. The wine list is also one of the best. Lots of unusual but delicious options including a lovely selection of orange wines. And the service? Pretty much faultless and the staff really know their stuff. Taking value for money and ambience into account, I'm going to stick my head out and say I think Corkage is in the top 5 overall. Being just off Queen Square, it's a little bit away from the centre but definitely worth the extra 5 minute walk.

So disappointing. Very very small portions. It really seemed like a joke that we started laughing at how the dishes looked. The main courses are small even as starters. The trout dish I ordered was a four bite piece. and cost 16.5 pounds. It's a real shame to call it a main dish. 4 pieces of peas floated in the sauce. The bread starter was a 4 slices of grocery store bread heated in a toaster. I left hungry. I have never been to a restaurant that looked down on me like that. be away. Once you order the food it does come pretty quick and is hot and fresh and you are forewarned that it will come as it’s prepared so don’t expect everything at once. Wine recommendations were good and I liked the fact that they let you taste before you commit. You know in advance that the food is sharing plates so know that the portions are not big but I did think some of the items were overpriced for what they were ie one rock oyster at five pound seems steep! But overall we had a fabulous experience and would return but that’s mainly down to the staff and service.

We asked for a specific table as I hate being in the middle of a room, but rather prefer having my back to the wall. Anyway, we arrived this evening and there was no record of the booking for the table we requested. We were told it was already booked. After 'much' discussion they gave us the table. The sevice was obviously as one would have expected given the booking issues. The wine was very good, but the food mediocre. Overall quite bland, especially given the cost. Wouldn't recommend the food, but for wine was fine. I won't be going back again as overall I felt it wasn't worth the money.

Amazing food and wine! We ordered 5 dishes and 5 glasses of wine, everything was full of flavour and high quality ingredients. The staff are familiar with all of the different wines and are able to recommend something from the large list available. The dish in the photograph is the Pork Belly with apple.

Lovely food - the dahl flavour was wonderfully complex and the orange sauce with halibut delicious. Easy to recommend Corkage just on the food - we had four other dishes of a similarly high standard. Two other things stood out: a brilliant délice which was a far cry from the usual chocolatey slab - this one had hazelnuts and a hazelnut cream with it; and the excellent service at every stage. Well three things actually - the third being a fabulous Marsala which was recommended with the dessert.

Excellent for vegetarians by the way - 5 of the dishes we had were vegetarian and all delicious, imaginative and generous.

A really stand out place in Bath. We loved the atmosphere and the staff were exceptional. Wine of course was perfect as you would expect with some really exciting and different varieties. Food first class. We couldn’t fault a thing.

The problem with Corkage is that the dahl and Padrón peppers are the best thing on the menu and also the quickest to cook. So by the time anything else arrives (quite slowly at times) you’ve demolished them and nothing else is as good.

Turned up hoping for a table but they were fully booked so they managed to fit us in at the bar. VERY extensive wine list so we asked the server for some help and he suggested a lovely Austrian white wine. There was a great ambience and I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a pre dinner (or post) drink. We didn’t eat but the main restaurant looked cosy with a nice looking terrace!

Very tasty food we had the smashed hash browns with smoked salmon, caramel latte and milky way/ magic stars brownie! All very tasty but the portion sizes for the prize left a lot to be desired. If you've an appetite i would suggest getting a couple plates.

Visited this cafe with my 2 children, we had a drink first the children done some colouring which they enjoyed, We then went into the soft play area cost £4 per child adult £1 , your in there for a hour, the children had a lovely time, my only complaint is they were not allowed to leave the soft play area for a drink as if they did they wouldn’t be allowed back in,
