We had an amazing dinner last night at Corkage in Bath. The food was delicious, cooked with care and quality by a chef that knows what he is doing and the wine was truly amazing. The staff was knowledgeable and made a great experience for us, if you are around Bath is a must try.

This place is meant to be open until 12pm, but we were made to quickly finish our bottle of bubbly and were kicked out by 11.30pm, as the only remaining customers. Staff walked passed our table with a wheelie bin and banged it in to our chair and then told us they needed to mop the floor. We didn't get to enjoy our drink and a chat as planned, sadly.

A really lovely restaurant. Service was great. They helped us choose a wine based on our tastes and preferences, rather than price. No upselling. Food wise it is small plates so order a few. We had 6 which was ample. Could have done 5. The dishes come out when they are ready, not all together, which makes for a lovely dining experience. There was a stand out winner which was the paparddelle. But all dishes absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend Corkage.

Corkage Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience that truly stands out in terms of food, service, and atmosphere. The menu features a range of dishes that can only be described as divine, showcasing both creativity and flavor that leave a lasting impression. The courgettes and the scallops were recommended and were a really good choice. The service at Corkage is equally commendable. The staff are not only friendly but also professional and knowledgeable. Their attentiveness and expertise enhanced the evening. The ambience of the restaurant complements the dining experience perfectly, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that encourages relaxation and enjoyment. Another significant perk is its dog-friendly policy. Being able to dine out without having to worry about leaving the dog at home meant we could relax and enjoy ourselves.

I've eaten in Corkage regularly over the years and twice in the last month. As I write, Tripadvisor has it at 74/345 best restaurants in Bath. It is true that Bath has loads of great restaurants but Corkage at 74 is a travesty. The food - small plates - are all delicious and head chef Rob really makes sure they are a cut above the rest. Best small plates in Bath? Almost certainly. The wine list is also one of the best. Lots of unusual but delicious options including a lovely selection of orange wines. And the service? Pretty much faultless and the staff really know their stuff. Taking value for money and ambience into account, I'm going to stick my head out and say I think Corkage is in the top 5 overall. Being just off Queen Square, it's a little bit away from the centre but definitely worth the extra 5 minute walk.

A lovely, cosy restaurant with great food and drink options. We sat outside in the garden, which was so nice on a summer’s evening! It was pretty busy so would definitely recommend booking in advance. Each of the small plates we had was delicious, and there was some really interesting flavours and options that were all done really well. A particular favourite was the courgette dish! The only thing is that each dish is pretty expensive for a small portion - you could get a full meal at other places for the price of one of the dishes, and they recommended 2-3 dishes per person.

Only Sotto Sotto rivals this place in Bath - and even then, it’s a close run thing. Went for the Friday lunchtime £20 for 2 courses set menu and had high expectations. So disappointing. Very very small portions. It really seemed like a joke that we started laughing at how the dishes looked. The main courses are small even as starters. The trout dish I ordered was a four bite piece. and cost 16.5 pounds. It's a real shame to call it a main dish. 4 pieces of peas floated in the sauce. The bread starter was a 4 slices of grocery store bread heated in a toaster. I left hungry. I have never been to a restaurant that looked down on me like that. be away. They don't deserve to have customers.

The staff were very good, offering excellent service and creating a welcoming environment. The atmosphere was also very good, contributing to an overall enjoyable visit. The venue is lovely, with a charming and inviting ambiance. However, I found the food to be overpriced for the amount that you receive, which was a bit disappointing. Discovered Corkage last week by chance and had a lovely glass of wine before dinner else where. We were quite impressed so we decided to book for this week. We asked for a specific table as I hate being in the middle of a room, but rather prefer having my back to the wall. Anyway, we arrived this evening and there was no record of the booking for the table we requested. We were told it was already booked. After 'much' discussion they gave us the table. The sevice was obviously as one would have expected given the booking issues. The wine was very good, but the food mediocre. Overall quite bland, especially given the cost. Wouldn't recommend the food, but for wine was fine. I won't be going back again as overall I felt it wasn't worth the money.

We were on holiday so enjoyed the experience and all the staff were very lovely. Our waitress was exceptional as she was both very friendly and attentive. Once you order the food it does come pretty quick and is hot and fresh and you are forewarned that it will come as it’s prepared so don’t expect everything at once. Wine recommendations were good and I liked the fact that they let you taste before you commit. You know in advance that the food is sharing plates so know that the portions are not big but I did think some of the items were overpriced for what they were ie one rock oyster at five pound seems steep! But overall we had a fabulous experience and would return but that’s mainly down to the staff and service.

Lovely food - the dahl flavour was wonderfully complex and the orange sauce with halibut delicious. Easy to recommend Corkage just on the food - we had three other dishes of a similarly high standard. Two other things stood out: a brilliant délice which was a far cry from the usual chocolatey slab - this one had hazelnuts and a hazelnut cream with it; and the excellent service at every stage. Well three things actually - the third being a fabulous Marsala which was recommended with the dessert. Service great, food is overpriced for the quantity and is also nothing special. I loved my wine and the atmosphere of the place, our waitress was also lovely and attentive. The main issue was the quantity of the food, the presentation of the cheese board was not restaurant standard and did not match the price (£15). The pasta we ordered wasn’t tasty enough considering such a small amount came (£15). The steak (£22) was very nice and a more reasonable amount came and the cheesecake was also tasty. Great atmosphere - it was buzzing when went, with an extensive wine list and interesting menu. I was disappointed though, because for me, the food in reality did not match up to the expectation, which the description on the menu had created. It was tasty enough certainly, but not as interesting as I thought it was going to be. My husband and I shared a very good bottle of wine. Service though very friendly was patchy, in that we had to attract attention, rather than the team spotting that they were needed so to speak. That could have been a product of Corkage being so busy that evening. Overall, we felt it was pricey for what we had, though I'd certainly be happy to go back for a drink.

I've always really wanted to try this place, so booked a table for a Friday evening. We were greeted by the barman instantly, and the waitress was lovely and approachable. Although what alarmed me slightly, was being told roughly that it's 2-3 dishes per person, and then also hearing that be repeated to numerous new tables that were sitting down. I understand you want to leave feeling full, however, it does sound like a bit of a selling push where they've been told to 'sell as many plates as you can'. We understand the 'tapas' style of eating, so we were aware of how the small plates idea worked. Now moving onto the plates. We ordered 6 dishes (padron peppers, dahl, cauliflower, fishcake, short ribs & potatoes). The dahl and cauliflower were very tasty - it's definitely made me think how to recreate these dishes at home. The padron peppers, were well, exactly as you expected, and the potatoes were tasty, but easily replicable at home without spending the money we did. The fishcake - please note not 'fishcakes' (plural) - was tasty but nothing off the beaten track, and with that price you'd expect more than 2 mouthfuls and with some sort of culinary creativity. Please note - the peppers, cauliflower, dahl & potatoes were big enough to share between two. The short ribs was the dish that whetted my appetite, yet came away feeling most disappointed. Yes, it was very tasty, and the focaccia was nice, however, for nearly £19 for one small plate, it was about 3 mouthfuls' worth. As it was 'date night' and we seldom go out for dinner anyway, I think this is how we justified spending the money on 3 bites of beef, but we won't be doing it again. The atmosphere, and the deco of the restaurant is lovely, and the wine list is very extensive. Just double check the size of the plates before you order as it may also turn out to be quite a 'small' mouthful.

A very nice atmosphere, cosy wine and small dish concept, everything would have been perfect if the manager had not been so unkind and unconsiderate. I kindly asked if it would be okay to change tables as we wanted to seat in the main dining room and he had just sat a couple there who didn’t have any reservations, while we had one. He answered really rudely and without any apology that it was not possible because it was booked, in a very rude and snooty attitude. It’s okay he couldn’t move us, but there is a much nicer way to answer your clients, he made me feel very bad to the point we almost left. Then we ordered a bottle of wine but it was not mentioned on the wine list that the wine was actually a « natural » wine, which is not a small detail because the taste can be very special and not to everyone’s taste. We drank without complaining but at the end we wantwd to give a nice feedback. At the end we kindly told the staff that it would have been nice to specify on the menu when it is a natural wine because we would have liked to know before ordering, and when we ordered, the waitress didn’t tell us it was a natural wine, and again, a very snooty waiter told us off, telling us 70% of their wines were « natural » and that he didn’t care mentioning it. We were simply kindly advising him that it would be better for him and for clients to mention it on the menu and he was super rude and defensive in return. Really too bad there is such an unkind staff overall, because the food was good abd prices were correct.

However, the staff were very friendly. Once our food order was taken the food came pretty quickly. The portions were just right for a lunch set menu. However, it was let down by not being hot enough, which included the sauce with the steak and the pasta. None of us unfortunately liked the red wine that came with the set menu either as it was very sharp, but we did order an alternative that was delicious. I’d come back again to give this another shot because of recommendations from friends.

Lovely restaurant if you’re looking for something a little bit different. Dishes come out tapas style ie in any order. The food is adventurous and delicious. The wine list on its own is worth coming for. It had a lovely buzzy atmosphere. The service was fantastic. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening at Corkage.

Had been here before and loved it - a gorgeous place in a great location with good food. However, I booked a table for my sister's birthday this week for seven of us and was incredibly disappointed. The french lady that served us was absolutely lovely, however the management wouldn't allow us plates to eat a birthday cake that we'd bought ourselves without a £5 per head charge. With a large booking that resulted in a significant bill it put a dampener on the evening.

Was there with a party of eight for my daughter’s birthday this evening. Service and food was okay but at the end of the evening they tried to charge us an extra £5 per head (£40) to serve the birthday cake we’d had made. When we opted to deal with it ourselves, we were told it wasn’t allowed! Disappointing.

Great food (loved the starters, the potatoes, the dahl. Cauliflower, artichoke were good. The sorbet was one of the best I've had). Wine is excellent obviously. The atmosphere was lovely inside. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Pretty reasonable prices (£100 for two for three drinks each and more food than we could eat). Would go again if we came back

This is such a delightful place and so accommodating. Great buzz and busy. We were a group of 8, with various allergies involved. Craig and team conjured up a great set menu adjusted for allergies so that everyone got a decent amount of food. Cocktails and wine were also good. Got to go!

Came to bath with family for Christmas Dinner. Food was delicious. the service was good. The atmosphere was cosy. They let dogs in. Waiting staff friendly. Corkage is cosy and small but not cramped. Really good decor would recommend.

A fantastic find in Bath, which may be just about my favourite spot! Reasonable prices, great wines and a decent menu of small to not so small plates, spanning octopus to pigeon on our visit. Add in a nice, chatty atmosphere of people enjoying the food and wine on offer and some friendly service in a non fussy space and there are plenty of reasons to like this place.

My 15 year old son turned up to join us and was turned away into the night by the waiter. This guy is obviously not aware that two teenagers his age were stabbed to death earlier this year. There was plenty of room for him to sit at our table but he made my son feel so unwelcome he left. It’s such a shame as we were having a lovely evening but totally ruined by this one guy!

Congenial cosy & rustic. Bustling atmosphere with plenty of interesting wines by the glass. Menu is a fairly good variety- I'd love to see more plant based dishes though. Overall I'd definitely cone again.

Popped into their new location in the Ram this morning, with a friend. Amazing, great coffee, a secret sausage roll to die for, great staff...time to chat and a great atmosphere.

I visit Picnic Coffee every week for the delicious coffee and lemon drizzle cake. However, the staff just bring my order to the table and walk away without a word or a glance at me. Where are the staff other reviewers praise so highly?

Visited this cafe with my 2 children, we had a drink first the children done some colouring which they enjoyed, We then went into the soft play area cost £4 per child adult £1 , your in there for a hour, the children had a lovely time, my only complaint is they were not allowed to leave the soft play area for a drink as if they did they wouldn’t be allowed back in,
