The Star Inn in Bath and North East Somerset

Had an out-of-this-world time at The Star Inn in High Littleton! This place is a cosmic blend of traditional charm and modern comfort. The beer selection was stellar, and my pint was so good it practically had its own gravitational pull. The staff were super friendly and made us feel like VIPs. The cozy atmosphere and lively crowd made for a night full of laughs and good vibes. The food looked so good, I almost tried to bribe the chef for the recipes – next time, I’m definitely digging in! If you’re looking for a pub that’s light-years ahead of the rest, The Star Inn is your destination. Highly recommend for a night of fun and frolic!

Lovely local pub with home cooked food at a fair price, good selection of ales and wine. Pool table, dart board and a nice garden area with space for kids to play. Friendly staff and the locals don't bite either ! Lovely breakfast too.

Went to the star a week or so ago with 3 friends for a Sunday roast ,to be honest we were very disappointed with the food ,everything on the plate was overcooked and I never new chicken could be so dry ,it's a shame because its a lovely pub with amazing staff and the food used to be amazing ,maybe they cook was having a bad day ,we all get them ,not sure I'll go there again

The Star Inn was right next door to our digs in High Littleton. We called in for an evening meal so took advantage of their pizza and drink offer, £12 for a cracking pizza and a lovely pint of the local brew. Both staff and locals made us feel incredibly welcome, thanks to all at The Star Inn.

What a wonderful Sunday Roast! Very tasty and very fresh veg. Great service in this welcoming and very well presented pub.

Wile the women were playing at the world cup we enjoyed a smashing Sunday Roast Dinner. Served swiftly and hot. 4 different vegetables, 3 different roast meat and a spicy vegetarian roast were on offer.

Lovely country pub. One that still has a dart board, pool table and stools at the bar, not to mention a huge range of bar snacks! Yet there's a great range of drinks (I counted 4 lagers, 4 ales, Guinness and 3 ciders on draught plus innumerable bottled options) and a good reasonably priced food menu. This is a locals pub where regulars are greeted by name when they walk in and everyone makes new customers feel welcome.

Visited for a meal with friends. Had booked table bit we were slightly delayed. Not a problem The staff really bent over backwards to help us. The food was pub food. All arrived freshly done and very hot.

We can’t recommend this place enough the staff have been absolutely superb ever since we got here they have looked after us give us advice as tourists we have often not know what to do or where to go they have an out of their way to help us the food is exceptional and we have loved it

For a friendly dinking atmosphere or an amazing quality Sunday lunch this place is fantastic. Fresh veg real roasties, hand carved meat.

Stopped here on my way to Badminton horse trials from Cornwall with family. 5 of us had food and drinks. Steaks cooked to everyone’s taste. Everyone was delighted with the quality of the food also good sized portions and the price . All the staff was very friendly and hard working. Cider also tasted great.lovely pub . Would highly recommend . I would plan other trips to fit a meal at this pub again. Sadly Cornwall has lost a lot of these lovely old pubs

We had a lovely Sunday Lunch at this pub which we all have often passed but never visited. Very friendly bar staff. Order taken at the table - we all decided on roast beef although there was choices of lamb, chicken and pork Good serving of meat, roast potatoes and yorkshire puddings plus a large dish of vegetables for all to share which was more than ample May have been our first visit but won't be our last

We love our Sunday lunches here, the food always tastes great and piping hot. The vegetables are always served separately,so you can have as little or as much as you like which is lovely when you are a picky eater like me & they always make you feel welcome.

I've driven passed this place many times, and it was time I went in. I was not disappointed! Great food, lovely old Victorian pub, lovely decor. Yes, televisions, but not intrusive. Pool table and dart board. Very clean loos. Excellent service, only appeared to be two people working there, but the man behind the bar was serving, cheerful and efficient.

Did a 2 hour walk.We were a party of 12.Arrived hungry and thirst and found a note on the door.Shut all weekend due to no staff.

Very delicious sunday roast, lovely hosts.

We dropped in on the Star Inn while making our way to another Inn. We liked what we saw and decided to stay. That was the best decision we could have made. The welcome, the drinks and food were all unbeatable. It put the pub in our original plan in the shade. The lady serving us was first class in her welcome and service. A perfect venue.

Just been for Sunday lunch and a couple of drinks. Had the beef and it was cooked beautifully, very tender and tasty. Vegetables were great, not an overcooked soggy mess that seems to be common now days. Food and drinks are reasonably priced and the staff were friendly. If I'm in the area again I will certainly visit this Pub/Inn again

Every Sunday, me and my partner always get a Sunday roast as he live 10 minutes away from the star inn, this week I bought two extra for my mum and daughter at home in Bournemouth my mum can’t get over how lovely the roast dinners are such good portions proper home made food well done!!!

Lovely local public house, friendly, welcoming and tasty food (as well as a good selection of drinks). Family friendly and supports the local community. Highly recommend a visit / supporting via takeaway services when they're available.

Sunday lunches and Saturday breakfasts are very nice and good value for money. They also do weeknight deals aswell. Good choice of beer, lager and cider too.

A 'locals' pub on the Cask Mark Ale Trail. Dog friendly with all the usual amenities (pool table, darts, big screen TV, good food options,) that such places require. The village can be an interesting area to travel through during rush hours. It'll pay dividends to your patience, to stop off at the pub for a pint, if only to let the traffic die down a bit.

Absolutely fantastic meal today a real roast beef dinner with all the trimmings, excellently cooked by Liz the Landlady and served by Niel the great bar man. Definitely recommend.

My goodness what a lovely place as not been there in over nearly 20 years. After having lunch midweek with a friend I returned with my partner for a Sunday lunch. Divine can only praise all the food ate on both occasions. Fabulous so clean tidy and friendly. I do recomend that you pop in and try as I am sure you will return.

Went to watch Call the Shots, a great local band . They were brilliant. Nice surroundings and good service.
