Exceptional service, beautiful hotel in a great location. Rooms a little dated but very clean and spacious. I really can’t emphasis enough how fabulous the service was at Bailbrook House. Gems on reception was so warm, friendly, and attentive and all of the staff from those at breakfast to the gentlemen who brought us room service on multiple occasions were just fantastic. We visited as part of a larger group for a birthday party nearby and nothing was too much trouble. The staff even found some cufflinks for one of the guests who had forgotten his! Breakfast was great, as was the room service and cocktails. Such a reasonable price too at £220 for 2 nights during a busy weekend. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back, and are considering visiting other hotels within the Handpicked chain because of how good this experience was!

My family and I recently stayed here and enjoyed a private dining room experience to celebrate my parents’ Diamond Anniversary. It was an exceptional experience from start to finish from the extra touches in the dining area to the kindest and most helpful staff you could wish for, nothing was a problem. The bedrooms are simply gorgeous and the bed size and linen are extremely good, you will wish you could just stay in bed in the morning and listen to the birds chirping, although breakfast is definitely worth getting out for and was wonderful. By far the quietest hotel room I think we have ever stayed in. Our bathroom also had a bath and shower and again is a very good size room. Complimentary nibbles, biscuits tea/coffee and water are all included in the price. I would stay here again in a heart beat. Thank you to Lorella and her wonderful team! Amanda

Gems the receptionist was fantastic and made us feel really welcome for a special weekend. The room was in the new part but was still lovely. The restaurant is good value but did not feel it was it was amazing The bar was priced at London prices so no shock to us Uber to Bath £6 and on the way back £11 As is hotel has lots of parking well worth doing as at most a 10 minute drive. Great hotel and would stay again

Beautiful hotel!! Highly recommend. We stay at quite a lot of uk hotels. Doesn’t look much from the outside but the room we had was beautiful, quiet, comfortable and luxurious. The bathroom was the highlight. Huge free standing bath with a tv on the wall!!! Breakfast was nice but we ate out in the evening. Staff were lovely I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful. GEMS ( reception) and DONALD ( bfast ) both deserve a special mention as they both couldn't do enough to help you on arrival and help settle you in. The room was clean and well presented. However, I was expecting a bit more as it was classed as a deluxe double. The shower was amazing. The hotel is located in a fantastic position and rather than eat in the hotel we chose to walk into the nearest village for dinner. There is a huge car park and an electric charging point on site( however, the locals know this and come to the hotel to use it). Overall a good stay.

stayed while away for business in the area. Arrived to the very impressive house itself & the setting is great. Plenty of great views & countryside. Room 304 I had was perfect. Clean, great size and a very comfy bed. Had dinner in the onsite bar which was very good. Burger was SUPER thicc & juicy, then finished with the brownie which was good but a little on the small side for £9. Had a great nights sleep & breakfast was okay. Overall, a great stay.

One night stay in this superb hotel,I must say the staff are the friendliest we have ever encountered, the warm welcome at reception set the tone for our stay. A long tree lined driveway leads up to a striking hotel, car park with disabled ramp on either side, the old building has reception and bars plus other rooms we didn't venture in,we had a couple drinks in the bar before a short taxi ride into Bath (£10). Cheese and biscuits on return and a night cap. Room was in the new block, excellent access from the old building. Room spotless no complaints at all. Breakfast a real feast for the eyes it was buffet style plenty of options, staff floating around cleaning tables very efficiently. A wonderful stay.

The bailbrook is a lovely hotel in bath, quiet and in a tranquil location. The rooms are good, and the staff are friendly (special props to the breakfast team who always remember you). Location is okay, lots of parking and an easy bus to the centre of bath. Restaurant hotel is generally good but could be improved at times.

Suprise trip to Bath. From the moment we arrived to the time we left, the service received was absolute first class. The evening meal and breakfast was very good. The only comment would be that the menu was a little limited.

Having lived in Bath for 30 years i can tell you this is the best curry in Bath. For a traditional curry they don't come better than this great flavours, consistent high quality and really nice people always bust and operate with a half open kitchen so you can see people making your food. There are places in Bath now making Indian fusion food charging more and producing a worse tasting curry. We travel past 3/4 curry houses to get to Panahar. Worth it everytime!

Sunday 23 March 2025 I was in Bath for the evenig and bought a Roadhouse Chilliburger from Schwartz Bros on Sawclose. I wasn't expecting much but, hell it was the best burger I have ever had. Not only that but the shop was imaculate and the three young lads serving were smart, friendly, efficient, and helpful. They even advised me about the best pubs to go to for live music. Highly recommended. I wish there was a Schwartz in Weston super Mare, my hometown.

If you're craving authentic Thai food that brings both the heat and the flavor, Charm Thai Restaurant is an absolute gem you need to check out. I kicked things off with the chicken dumplings, and oh man—they were little flavor bombs. Perfectly steamed, juicy, and seasoned just right. I fully intended to snap a pic, but they were so good I devoured them without thinking. Zero regrets. Then came the star of the show: Khaw Kling, a Southern Thai dish that comes with some serious heat. And not the “mildly spicy” kind—they serve it Thai spicy, just the way I like it. Every bite was bursting with bold flavor, spice, and a deep, earthy richness that hit all the right notes. Absolutely addictive. To cool things off, I ordered a Thai milk tea, which came topped with a generous swirl of whipped cream—yes, you read that right. The combo of the rich, creamy tea and fluffy whipped topping was like a dessert and drink in one. It was the perfect sweet, cooling contrast to the fiery main dish. Between the food, the cozy vibes, and the super friendly staff, I left full, happy, and already planning my next visit. Charm Thai, you’ve won my heart—and next time, I might take a photo before diving in. But no promises.
