The best restaurants in Bath and North East Somerset South West

Hemos estado en este café antes y tanto la comida como el servicio eran buenos, esta vez el servicio estaba muy por debajo de la par, la comida era basura (eso es ser educado) solo era chaqueta de patata con Brie y salsa de arándanos que por £ 10 era tanto frío y muy pequeño, el relleno era solo el mismo muy poco Brie y luego cubierto con salsa de arándanos y no un montón de bayas, cuando pagamos por la comida en realidad había un cargo de servicio del 10% además del costo real servicio para qué! A diferencia de muchos restaurantes esto no se podía quitar. Nunca volveré a este café de nuevo (no un restaurante) ni recomendaría esto a nadie más.

Just a beautiful spot to go for a meal, it's full of charm and history. However parking is absolutely horrendous. I had chicken it was small portion, but good, gravy could have more flavour and was thin. The broccoli was undercooked and hard. The other person had the beef, which looked tough and was. The serving staff were friendly, attentive and quick.... However, one of them looked like she had been pressed gang into working. Obviously no one has to smile, but if your welcoming people it helps. As much as having staff ask if the meal is good, it's better to make sure that the food is cooked well so that being asked becomes less like of a thing... This might sound like I'm saying the food isn't good, it's so much better that other Sunday roast dinners locally. Well worth a visit.

Very good, it was very tasty and the coffee tasted incredibly good.

The service was great but the food is so bad. I ordered the vegetarian jalapeño burger today I.e. 19/12/2024 and it was so salty I couldn’t even finish it. It was a waste of 10.50 pounds. So expensive for a burger and so disappointed!!

A really good find !! A local pub with great atmosphere and a really friendly and helpful attitude from the staff and locals alike ! The food was great ..... A good selection of ales and I was assured the wine was good too. I would recommend a visit 👍

The food was presented really well and tasted great. The staff were extremely helpful and very welcoming. The atmosphere was fine but some very noisy customers - at least they were having a good time 😄

Myself, wife and daughter visited here for breakfast whilst visiting Bath for the day. First impressions were great with the guy seating us being extremely friendly and helpful. I ordered the large cooked breakfast for around £15, my wife the pancakes and our daughter an omelette. Drinks and food were very quickly delivered to the table and we all tucked in. Visually they all looked good, with the exception of the single hash brown on my plate which was the smallest I’d ever seen. It’s not often that food that enters my mouth leaves instantly, but the hash brown broke all speed records and i think that record will be a long standing one. Tepid in temp at best, with the texture not even as good as fried cardboard, it was obvious that this hash brown had accidentally slipped into the chefs pocket prior to his around the world trip 3 years ago and then accidentally made its way onto my plate on his return. Not always one to complain I grabbed a quick fork full of beans to try and rid my mouth of the experience, only to find them colder than the hash brown. When you can’t microwave beans competently maybe the kitchen isn’t the best place for you ? With the server only next door to us I had a discreet word, received a genuine apology and a few minutes later was presented with a fresh ramekin of beans and 2 more hashbrowns. It was instantly obvious that the beans had been microwaved way beyond what was needed as they’d bubbled and spat the sauce over their container. Exercising some caution in picking the ramekin up I realised I’d been correct in my assessment. The beens were beyond scalding hot. I’m not sure if this was a spiteful act that quite frankly could have been dangerous, or to give them the benefit of my doubt maybe the microwaver needs better training? The 2 hashbrowns were as equally as bad as the first and were left. My wife and daughter’s breakfasts were both nice. I’d never return here which was a shame as I think it has the potential to serve some consistently good food.

What a wonderful place. Great food in a really cosy atmosphere with excellent staff all round. We would recommend this restaurant most highly for all those visiting Bath. If you look inside you may think it is full but it has two floors of great experience and well worth a visit.

Our lunchtime meal was one of the worst Thai I've ever experienced. The pad Thai was a soggy sloppy noodle mess. Nill points for presentation and the flavour was bland and didn't really hint at what you would expect from one of Thailands well known dishes. The prawns were not very good quality and the chicken was dry and rubbery. Haven't tried any of their other dishes, but if this is representative, steer clear of this restaurant. Service was very good hence 2 stars

Tuvimos una gran comida aquí. Los cócteles para empezar eran fantásticos y el elemento de comida era excelente. Optamos por el menú degustación. Rara vez elegimos menús degustación debido a la cantidad de comida que obtiene, pero esto fue justo en cuanto al curso. Sabíamos que íbamos a comer bien por la calidad de los canapés. Absolutamente delicioso sarro de ternera, un encantador trozo de fletán y un trozo de cordero local concluyeron el elemento salado. Los postres definitivamente decepcionan ni tampoco los exquisitos petit four. Todo el personal era genial. Amable pero no demasiado amable y muy eficiente. La carta de vinos es buena, pero hace falta un poco de estudio para encontrar las botellas que representan una buena relación calidad-precio. La decoración podría no ser del todo de nuestro gusto y la banqueta en la que me senté era solo un poco bajo para la altura de la mesa. Aparte de eso recomiendo cenar aquí. ¡Equipo bien hecho!

Este fue un lugar elegido para el almuerzo para un grupo de seis amigos que buscan un lugar agradable pero no demasiado caro para disfrutar de una comida relajante. Estuvo a la altura de todas las expectativas. El menú de platos pequeños era más que adecuado y el servicio era eficiente y amable. ¿Qué no te gusta? Bien hecho 👏

A beautiful spot, in a perfect location! Wonderful service thanks to Arbias. The food was incredible, I went for two tapas dishes and they were huge! =) Great decor, and the function room above looked amazing too! Recommemd for an intimate dinner or a girls brunch!

Los pasteles de corniche aquí estaban súper deliciosos. Y el pastel de chocolate era celestial. Recomiendo a cualquiera que busque comer algo rápido a un buen precio.

Our favourite cafe in Bath. Service excellent, staff always friendly and helpful. Probably the best Coffee#1 " in the world" 🙂

Very nice food good service not very busy so atmosphere not amazing but no complaints will be back
