Myself, wife and daughter visited here for breakfast whilst visiting Bath for the day. First impressions were great with the guy seating us being extremely friendly and helpful. I ordered the large cooked breakfast for around £15, my wife the pancakes and our daughter an omelette. Drinks and food were very quickly delivered to the table and we all tucked in. Visually they all looked good, with the exception of the single hash brown on my plate which was the smallest I’d ever seen. It’s not often that food that enters my mouth leaves instantly, but the hash brown broke all speed records and i think that record will be a long standing one. Tepid in temp at best, with the texture not even as good as fried cardboard, it was obvious that this hash brown had accidentally slipped into the chefs pocket prior to his around the world trip 3 years ago and then accidentally made its way onto my plate on his return. Not always one to complain I grabbed a quick fork full of beans to try and rid my mouth of the experience, only to find them colder than the hash brown. When you can’t microwave beans competently maybe the kitchen isn’t the best place for you ? With the server only next door to us I had a discreet word, received a genuine apology and a few minutes later was presented with a fresh ramekin of beans and 2 more hashbrowns. It was instantly obvious that the beans had been microwaved way beyond what was needed as they’d bubbled and spat the sauce over their container. Exercising some caution in picking the ramekin up I realised I’d been correct in my assessment. The beens were beyond scalding hot. I’m not sure if this was a spiteful act that quite frankly could have been dangerous, or to give them the benefit of my doubt maybe the microwaver needs better training? The 2 hashbrowns were as equally as bad as the first and were left. My wife and daughter’s breakfasts were both nice. I’d never return here which was a shame as I think it has the potential to serve some consistently good food.

Pleasant breakfast (much much better than one can get in the hotels nearby). The waitress Karolina was very courteous. I recommend for breakfast and brunch. Sit inside if you want to avoid the noise of the street and the birds.

We visited for brunch having seen recommendations on a few websites. Our experience didn't reflect those views. The portions were small, tasteless and overpriced. We asked for ours to be replaced/reheated as it was served lukewarm. The staff were apologetic hence 2 rather than one star. Bloody Mary's were watery due to to the excessive amount of ice. There seemed to be little interest or pride in what was served. Would not return or recommend.

Popped in during hot weather as a group of 4, including a mother carrying a newborn, ordered coffee and sat outside. While waiting for the coffee, a member of our party got some gelato from Swoon across the street and brought it over to the table. Another waiter (not the one who had taken our order for the coffees) then demanded we leave, asserting the gelato posed a ‘health and safety risk’ (BS). We told him we had ordered and were waiting, but he told us it didn’t matter. We left without paying for the coffees. We went to Boston Tea Party instead, who were more than willing to let us order their coffee and eat our gelato at their outside table while we waited. Top tip: for great service, go to BtP, not Kingsmead Kitchen.

Really disappointing visit to this restaurant. We visited as a family and were hungry after a busy morning. The sandwiches were really quite small, a poor amount of filling and a shameful side salad. The dishes were not cheap and they were not worth the money. Steak in the steak ciabatta was chewy and fatty. 2 stars for quick service and good coffee.

Visited for breakfast as a group of 8 after a night in Bath. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the menu full of appetising items. To be honest, I could have chosen anything on it as they all appealed to me. However, as it was the morning after a good night out, it had to be the Kingsmead Breakfast, which was absolutely fantastic, with great quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. Each and every one of us cynical old pensioners really enjoyed our meal and, without doubt, will definitely return next time we are in Bath.

We were looking a cosy café with toasted sandwiches or paninis, and were pleased to find Kingsmead Kitchen, as several other local establishments either offered more substantial menu choices, or just pastries, cakes and croissants. We enjoyed the cheese and ham toasties and chose from a wide selection of fresh soft drinks – smoothies, fruit juice and milkshake to name but a few – and the usual range of coffees. Looking at other reviews, perhaps we will revisit for breakfast if we visit Bath again.

Limited choices on menu, staff can’t be bothered to show any interest in their customers , quality of food and portion sizes poor. We ordered the lamb pitta which was the tiniest toughest pitta with 3 small Luke warm lamb patties inside with tzatziki and a pathetic side salad, just shy of £12! We also had the chilli with garlic bread, the waiters favourite apparently! This was a bowl of watery predominantly tomato based slop with barely any meat in it. it was served with a an insipid looking piece of bread which may or may not have been shown a bit of heat with a bit of garlic butter on. This was £13.25! Don’t waste you time or money going there, they don’t deserve your custom

My wife and I visited the cafe for breakfast, the decor, ambiance, and view of the square gives off a lovely setting for dining, but I can't say that the pricing and portion sizes are worth a return visit. I ordered American pancakes, which tasted like they'd been pulled off the shelf at Asda and microwaved, paid £3 extra for a small portion of watery scrambled eggs. My wife ordered the Veggie Breakfast of which she had no complaints. This is my first time visiting Bath, but I will be trying somewhere else for breakfast next time.

We came here on a visit to Bath as we read some good reviews about the place. However, while most of the food we ordered was good, the cornbread that came with the cowboy beans was atrocious- I think it was a bad batch as it tasted like straight baking soda. We brought this to attention of the servers and they said they chucked the rest of it. However, until I asked for a discount there was barely any sort of compensation offered by the restaurant staff. One of the female servers did ask us to come for a free coffee later on. However, I felt like we weren’t taken seriously, maybe if we were a different color they might have taken us more seriously but that’s just an assumption I’m making.

Me and a friend came to kingsmead kitchen, I wanted to show them around bath and decided to have brunch here as I’ve been before and liked it Service was good couldn’t really fault the waiting staff however my friend ordered the scrambled egg and avo on toast with an added extra of salmon and we were absolutely shocked at the size of the salmon, it was an absolute joke. For £3.25 extra you got what was the scraping of salmon in a small mayo ramekin bowl probably about 2 teaspoons worth. I was so embarrassed to have brought my friend here. The waiting staff didn’t actually ask us during our meal if everything was fine so when I went to pay I did tell them but their response made me think they didn’t care

He is unstable on his feet and we had to help him into the chair where he nearly fell. He only got released from hospital yesterday. The waiter after watching us struggle from the door, came out and told us if we were not ordering something substantial we would have to leave. Two of his friends on the next table started to laugh. Utterly disgraceful. So we picked my grandad up, moved down to the next cafe who were very accommodating and watched whilst the guy merely sat down chatting. Went here for breakfast this morning, couldn’t fault it really, I could be picky and criticise the size of the tea cup more like an espresso cup, but not a deal breaker. What has given me the reason for my review is the lack of COVID consideration We waited outside for someone to leave, no problem. However the table wasn’t disinfected nor were any of the laminated menus or salt and peppers, ketchup containers, nothing..They may socially distance the tables but nothing was done to stop the spread of peoples touch etc. There is also the fact that they take no responsibility for track and trace and expect us to email them to say we have been there. Not sure how many people would bother.Overall a lovely breakfast but would not recommend or return as I didn’t feel safe that they were taking the proper measures to keep us all safe.Shame really but need to do more to do more .

Decent size, good bread but in all honest, there was nothing special about the bacon or sausage in my opinion and they are the stars of the fry up. The fried egg, mushrooms, tomatoes and beans were all cooked well so I may be a bit harsh but the stars are the bacon and sausage. I would go back for breakfast again if I was in Bath as they had plenty of choice and you won’t be disappointed with the fry up, although you won’t be wowed.

Friendly and professional staff. We were eating outside and a bowl of salad was attacked by a seagull. Within thirty seconds the waiter appeared and took it away to have it remade. They took social distancing seriously which is appreciated. Couldn't ask for any more!

You can't argue that the food is good quality and with quality comes the cost.My partner and I had large breakfasts with lattes and at £28, its a bit steep. But I can't knock the quality of the ingredients or the cooking.Still worth a visit

A nice, cosy restaurant in a prime location in the city centre. I was in dire need of a decent full English breakfast and I wasn't disappointed. It was delicious, cooked to perfection and I've never had a portion of mushrooms that I thought I wouldn't get through (I did). When in Bath, this will be my go-to breakfast spot.

Went to the Kingsmead kitchen on the first day of our break in Bath, intended to try other establishments whilst there for breakfast like The Boston Tea Party ( which has two establishments in the city) but after trying The Kingsmead Kitchen with its wide variety of choices across the menu, plus tea’s, coffees, Hot chocolate’s, soft drinks and juicesI’m not saying other establishments would have disappointed us, but the breakfast was presented and cooked so well we thought why even chance itKingsmead kitchen, great friendly staff, great selection and great food. Keep up your excellent standards

A small restaurant but on a great location. We had 2 shakshukas (extra extra eggs cause we were so hungry) and it was delicious! Tables can be quite close to each other, but it gives you a cozy and friendly vibes. We didn't try other dishes but will definitely come back again for the shakshuka!

Fantastic Breakfast worth the extra money and the tight squeeze. Fully worth the wait queuing outside to get a table. 5⭐

I would have a full English 3 times a day here if I could, but, I’d be dead. It’s the cholesterol you see, Scottish people eat it. Few of them make 60. I made a few notes. Bacon 10/10. Buttons mushrooms, bingo. Black pudding, snap. Minor criticism, more distance between the egg and the beans. I may want to mix them but I want that to be my decision. Use a sausage as a breakwater. I’m nitpicking. On the whole 7/10.

A very lovely place; the food was well presented and really flavoursome. We each had a different dish and all we greatly enjoyed and got the taste test seal of approval from all of us.

This is the best fish and chips takeaway in the locality, never had a poor meal. They also offer a range of other takeaway foods but I have not experienced them so far

Huge selection of freshly made sandwiches, quiche, sausage rolls etc. The six of us ate in and were all very impressed by our choices. The bread and generous amount of fillings were first class. Uses Hornsea and quirky pottery and a proper teapot and teacup! Very friendly staff. Truly a hidden gem

Merece hacerlo bien.
