Merece hacerlo bien.

I was a semi-regular at this place, as it was pretty much guaranteed to be quiet, even in peak pub hours. However I am no longer regular, semi, or otherwise. The manager is slightly incompetent, a bit work shy, inconsistent in his treatment of customers, and does not communicate with his staff (currently, one tolerant barman, who does sterling work, given the circumstances.) There is four beer engines on the bar, but I have only seen one, sometimes two, with beer available in recent times. The manager is quite rude to people, and not entirely "mein host", preferring to commune with his real friends in cyber-space on his Mac laptop.

Popped in here for a drink with friends recently. It was lovely, unpretentious and welcoming. The staff were very friendly. Didn't eat so can't comment on the food but it looked nice. A lovely relaxed environment close to Queens Square.

The Sunday lunch was absolutely superb. The beef was tender, the roast potatoes perfect and the vegetables tasty. The service was excellent – this was the best Sunday Lunch ever. Very reasonably priced and I would highly recommend a visit.

I like the Pizzas and Burgers, the happy hour and the "silence". No loud music which makes you shout at the person in opposite of you. The staff is really lovely. I enjoyed every stay.

We used to go to the old Kings Arms, loved the music on Saturday nights and yes it was a bit rough but had a loyal following and it had a good atmosphere. The new refurb has ravamped everything with soft grey paint, and lights over the bar, and you can see what you are doing! It has been done attractively- and I like the place - but whenever we have visited it has almost always been virtually empty. We have tried different times of the evening and although there is a good deal on the happy hour offer, and there is a good selection of beers on offer there is not much atmosphere. Wine is ok, not a huge choice but this is a pub not a wine bar, and staff are friendly. We tried the food when the pub had just opened: my salmon dish was OK and my husband liked his burger but when we have thought about getting food on other occasions the lack of atmosphere, and the fact that we might well be the only ones eating has put us off. I understand there is to be some accommodation at a later date and I really wish that venture well but I often feel that there are other more vibrant places to have a drink and meet up which is a shame because we have good memories of the place and want it to succeed.

We took advantage of a deal for money off food here, and kept going back for four weeks. The food is really good value, good portions and seems very much freshly made. The huge square pizzas are enough for two really.

We highly recommends this lovely local pub. We had a yummy supper last night of salmon, new potatoes and French beans. The pub has a great rustic, welcoming atmosphere and serves loads of different and interesting beers and ciders. A welcome change from the run of the mill high street chains - the owner has done a great refurbishment and we'll certainly be back!

Had been meaning to try this place since the refit and had walked past numerous times. Finally made it in and had a 'rooster' chicken burger. French fries were beautifully crisp, slightly sweet brioche bun filled with succulent chicken, bacon, sweet chilli and avocado mayonnaise. Absolutely delicious. Ambience is great, music is more refined than your average place, and the decor is just like I'd like my lounge. This pub fits the bill for a stylish yet comfortable place to sit with some more trendy bar touches, though you can still get a good pint of ale. Burger and a pint deal was a steal at 9.95. Will certainly be back. They have found themselves a fan. Tony H

After traipsing through the entire center of Bath looking for a pub that a) served Guinness, b) allowed our French bulldog puppy and c) allowed our 13 year old daughter we came upon this great gastropub on the southern part of town. Was able to enjoy a refreshing beverage and great pizza on our walk back to the B&B. the interior is bright, airy and clean, The menu is simple, but there was enough on the menu to interest the entire family. We look forward to going back on a sunnier day to enjoy the open courtyard and one of their burgers. Owners are very nice!

About 30 of us descended on the Kings Arms post crazy-golf for a works' do.We had pre-ordered food which included pizza, chips, garlic bread, mini hamburgers etc. and they even catered for our Gluten Free staff! Nothing was too much trouble, bar staff uber-friendly and the food portion sizes were epic! All homemade and home cooked food and was regularly brought out hot and fresh.Brilliant venue. Highly recommended.

We stopped here on our way to Bristol since we read the good reviews on trip advisor. It didn't disappoint. They serve some great local brews and the food was very good. The pizzas are definitely big enough for sharing (2 people) - try the pancetta with egg! It's got actual sunny-side up eggs on top! Pizza with runny yolk... mmm. I got the chicken burger. The toppings and fries were good, but my chicken was a bit dry. Other friends got the burger and the mozzarella panini. Both of those were very good too. Overall it was a solid place! The ambiance is cute as well, so puts off a good vibe. We'd go back for sure next time we're in Bath!

We went on a Monday evening when most local restaurants were closed. The pub has a very good choice of real ales: I had a pint of Funky Monkey, from Frome, really tasty local stuff! The food is excellent and appears to be home made from scratch, rather than bought in and microwaved. I had the steak sandwich : a generous quantity of sirloin with seriously strong horseradish mayo in a baguette roll. Normally I have to ask for extra horseradish with pub meals as it's so mild, but this was wonderful. The sandwich was accompanied with proper crunchy chips and an excellent salad with tasty dressing. My partner had the portobello mushroom burger which was also fantastic: full of different types of vegetables and halloumi, accompanied with sweet chilli sauce and fries. This was definitely amongst the best pub food we have had anywhere, and excellent value at under a tenner each. We will definitely be going back some time for the restof the menu.

A fantastic new pub which deserves to by much better known in Bath. Friendly staff and delicious pizzas, better than any chain I have been too and very generous portions! The acoustic night every Wednesday is a cut above the other open mic nights in the city and attracts some of the best musicians around so would definitely recommend a visit on a Wednesday.

Visited here for dinner on a Tuesday night. The gentleman that served us was extremely friendly and courteous. I settled for the beef burger and chips (sorry I refuse to call them fries). Was very impressed by the serving portion of chips. So impressed that I took a photo which I will see if I can upload. The beef burger with bacon would have to have been the tastiest burger I have had in England.Highly recommended and very close to the Albany B&B which is also highly recommended.

We've been to Kings Arms open mic acoustic night about five or six times now and it's such a great experience. We found it by accident on a wet Wednesday night and it turned out to be a stylish but cosy place to be. There's a good outdoor space too for anyone who needs a bit of air. Last night the pub was bustling and the music on offer was, as usual, a delight. Some interesting musicians turn up here! Guitarists, singers, flautists(!), sax players.Three of us ate their huge and wonderful pizzas or burgers and drank plenty of beer, all for a really good price. The welcome is lovely and it shows: it's very easy to get chatting to all kinds of people here. I took our local book club too a couple of weeks back and that was really enjoyable for all of us.

On a recent weekend trip to Bath we stumbled across this place, we just needed a quick pint and to put the feet up for a short while, so glad my feet were tired as it's a great pub. Nice beers, friendly, polite service, fire, comfy, old leather settee and great food that's more than pub grub. We felt very welcomed and at home in The Kings Arms. The Pizza was lovely with a pint of Arbor Ale. One quick pint became two, and we went back everyday after.

That this used to be a very busy pub with a great reputation for music. Ok, not somewhere you would go for fine dining but one of the few venues in Bath which reflected what many people would consider a "proper pub". Sadly I suppose nothing last forever and we all know it is difficult to make a living purely from beer sales. But such drastic change was a shock. I gather most of the original locals have moved down the road to the New Inn.The place was practically empty when I went there to watch the Six Nations match on Sunday. Let's hope things pick up or this venue is going to struggle.

We went here for a pizza and a pint and were not disappointed. 4 of us and a new born had a very enjoyable experience on a Saturday brunch-time. Pizza portions are huge! One would do two "normal" people and those who had the burgers were not disappointed. Some disparity between the table menu and the outside menu as the pulled pork had been pulled off the menu. Service was friendly and speedy without being too intrusive. We all left thoroughly sated however. As a pub goes, it was excellent and should be classified as such - not as a restaurant as TripAdvisor insists. Don't expect anymore and you won't be upset. The pub has had an overdue refit and has been finished in a retro style including old school desks, chairs and church pews. It's clean and comfortable with a friendly atmosphere.

Rose Cottage is a great community cafe ran by amazing volunteers and lead by the charismatic and Friendly Nathan! We ordered the breakfast and Nathan not only brought it out with a big smile but he did an amazing dance routine whilst serving us, it was like having Fred Astaire right at our table! Then the rest of the Kitchen staff joined him and sang us a medley of songs from Joseph and the techni colour dream coat, they were so good it was like being in the west end. The Hot chocolate was served with so much cream it looks liked a creamy volcano. We are pretty sure Lewis Capaldi was on the table opposite us as well.
