Pieminister in Bath and North East Somerset

Food was good, great portions, but what really made our day was the wonderfully friendly service. Bea and Alfie thanks so much for making our day

Just arrived Bath in the cold and feeling like warm lunch. Went into Piieminister - ordered a Moo pie and steak & Kidney. Both beautiful and filling. Longish edit but tasted fresh and piping hot so no complaints. Excellent waitress and service. Photo shows pjes half eaten - we couldn’t wait to get started !

Waitress friendly and accommodating. She was on her own as colleague had been on since 8am and had gone for a break. Food came and enjoyed. Unfortunately I visited the toilet and was totally disgusted ! Had I visited before food I woukd have turned around and walked out. One toilet out of order. , the toilet I used was disgusting, floor unswept/ not mopped but moreover the toilet was thickly stained which was a build up from over time. Thick brown staining. Obviously had never been regularly cleaned properly. Absolutely disgusting, It was awful. So check toilet prior to ordering, this to me is a very basic hygiene. And if they don't care about the toilets, do they care about the food ?????

Our first experience with this B Corp chain. (whatever a B corp is) Needed a Sunday evening indoor seating place, walking distance and good food. Pieminister fit the bill. We had the free range chicken which was very good. Service was good even with the obvious short staffing issue.

Server was really friendly. Cookie (my dog) loved his pork scratchings and the fuss. Then we were treated to one of the best pies I've ever eaten.

Lovely little restaurant, beautifully cooked and presented pies, no soggy bottoms. Portions not over generous, but we were full afterwards. The best thing for us was that we were welcomed with our little JRT who had his own meal of porky scratchings and water.

Had a lovely chicken harrisa filo pie with tziki and slaw yesterday. Waitress was doing an amazing job on her own in busy restaurant. Most tables occupied and queue later.

Massive shout out to Evie and Ruby, who handled this extremely busy evening with just the two of them working the restaurant so very well. My mom said she’d never seen two girls work so hard. P.S. the pie was delicious !!

The service in Pieminister Bath was outstanding and we‘ve had the best pies we‘ve ever tasted in the UK here. The Moo Pie was delicious and was perfectly balanced by the cheesy mash and gravy. Definitely recommended.

We couldn’t fault the food, that was delicious. However we arrived starving and faced a very long wait to be served, with people who entered the restaurant after us being served before us and when we brought this up with the waitress, we were met with excuses and then when I asked for custard with my dessert, I was given ice cream, but by this point I couldn’t be bothered to challenge it.

Pie was great. Lots of meat and veggies. Gravy was nice and thick but it is gluten free and you can tell. The service was great. Server was very personable and outgoing. Place was spotless and had a good vibe.

Incredibly friendly welcome/service - and cracking pies. Difficult to say much more really. A really chilled ambience made it an easy dining experience. Couldn't decide on which pie to go for but, in the end, plumped for the 'Moo and Blue' and, gosh, it was exceedingly good. Will be back

Food was disappointing. Fries were not skin on as advertised and were cold and tasteless. Parsnip chips were swimming in oil. Coleslaw was old and dry

I ordered the The Mothership Moo and it was my first experience with mushy peas- it was amazing! The food was great and filling. The service was lovely. We were fit in even when there was no space as long as we weren’t longer than 45 minutes. I highly recommend this place.

They have some vegan options, and you can even turn it into a meal deal. I opt to make mine a meal deal called Mother Earth. It was all vegan and was tasty! The staff is super friendly, and they are happy to advise you in case you need help choosing. I got advice to try this cider, which was an excellent choice! I will recommend people to come and try it!

Wanted to give a shout out to two amazing members of staff, Bea and Evie. My partner and I were both really happy with their customer service, they were so friendly and chatty, and made a great impression from the get go. We also really enjoyed the starters we ordered especially the mushroom calamari.

The food was excellent, very generous portion sizes. I had the Free Ranger and my partner had the Moo, we both had cheesy mash with our pies and we’re both very happy with our food! The pina colada mocktail was very nice and was good to see some different non-alcoholic options on there. Great atmosphere, music was banging and wasn’t too loud. All the staff were lovely! Huge thank you to Kaya for the excellent service and great chat. We were made to feel very welcome while we were here.

Simply amazing, yesterday 2 girls serving me, B…(apologies I forgot to write their names) very nice hospitality and vibes. Food , what can I say? I fall in love with pies !!! I also drank a beer ,( a bit bitter for my taste… but no matter because: ) the pie with the grave was excellent!!! So tasty and delicious. The staff also helped me out with some directions to continue my visit in the city.

Mashed potatoes and gravy were made from powder and poorly mixed, with lumps. It's hard to call this place a restaurant. I think these pies are prepared somewhere else and just reheated in this restaurant. The female chef who was reheating them was singing and dancing in the kitchen—I thought she was performing a ritual and the food would be great, but I was wrong. The quality of the food was poor and lacking flavour, but the waitress was very nice and helpful that's about it. I don't recommend this place to anyone

Pieminister in Bath was a delightful surprise! The pies were absolutely delicious and the prices were reasonable (no service charge added and we ended up with a 25 pounds bill for two). Our waiter was exceptional, providing top-notch service with a friendly smile. Highly recommend!

Had a really lovely meal at this place, the vegan options are amazing and Kaya helped us with deciding what to go for! Rob did a great job preparing the food and making everything taste delish! :) such a friendly atmosphere and LGBTQ friendly, we will be back again!

Had a great pie feed with exceptional service It was really busy but Bea kept intouch constantly updating us and couldn’t have been more helpful. Fast and friendly service . The other girl Kaya was also so nice they worked really efficiently together. Good music also playing

Three of us popped in for lunch, super friendly service. Food arrived quickly after ordering. I had steak and kidney with mash, peas and gravy, the others had harissa chicken filo with crispy potatoes, broccoli, peas and tzatziki dip and finally chicken free ranger with chips, crispy onion bits, cheese and gravy. We all found them to be winners. We will be going back where I am going to have steak and blue cheese. If only they could have a pie tapas so we could have, say, 3 tiny pies in one meal.

Just had the most delicious pies and starters (pork sausages and halloumi sticks) as well as the most amazing service from the lovely kind staff. 100% would return again! Highly recommend the Moo and the Moolin Rouge pies - both delicious!

Perhaps my expectations were too high but the pies were very ordinary.

Milkshakes are more like ice cream Sundays here, you have to eat with a spoon. Food is alright, nothing special, fairly nice servers, though they could be more attentive, had to wait a while to order

The pies were tasty but the flavours could have been stronger. There are quite many vegan options. The oyster mushroom calamari were amazing and highly recommended. The staff was friendly and the environment serene.

Service was welcoming and warm despite there being only 2 staff members and it being weirdly busy. They deserve a medal.

We had a wonderful meal here between our Bath Mayor’s walking tour and the Roman Baths. Service was very pleasant and the food always good.

We went for bottomless brunch. I’ve done bottomless brunch at four different restaurants now and this was by far the least amount of drinks I’ve been served. If you’re expecting a pie and a few drinks over the two hours then it is perfect for you. But we waited ten minutes with empty glasses on multiple occasions and then 15 minutes to get our next drinks. We were offered our ‘last call’ drink with 17 minutes left of our two hours. I won’t be back for bottomless brunch. The pie was great though.

Always love Pieminister's pies. Came here for an early dinner, was thankfully very quiet when I arrived meaning that I was served rather quickly. The waitress who served me was extremely friendly and my food was delicious. 5* service every time I visit a Pieminister, I wish we had more in London.

The fungi pie was unreal! I’m so happy there’s multiple. We’re just visiting the uk and I immediately want to go to every franchise we can find.

You simply can't beat a Pieminster when out in the city! I went for the vegetarian chicken and bacon one which was amazing as usual. The portion size was really generous - although we could definitely have done with more gravy. It was quiet when we went and also empty on subsequent walks by, so you should be fine to get a table.

Very welcoming to us all including the dog who got some porky scratchings which she loved. Friendly service and despite a hiccup - caused only because they were so determined not to put my friend with allergies at any risk - everything was great. Lovely food. Quick service and a good atmosphere

We had a group of 11 of us and the service was really great! Our server was very lovely and very attentive and it was great being able to have choice for Gluten Free too!

Very nice, can't complain about any aspect at all! Even with limited staff they delivered incredibly well, with us being a group of 11!

We had such an amazing server, they had purple hair and was so incredibly lovely. As a table of ten after what seemed like a long day for the limited staff, they did an amazing job.

Excellent meal, very well presented. Tom & Bea were exceptional in their service and product knowledge. A definite winner!!

Recommend for all who like some special pies (free range meat and vegan options) We went there twice, very delicious and the stuff was very friendly :D it's worth a visit.

Amazing pies, very yummy, and good choices for vegetarians and vegans, reasonable price, super friendly staff! Above all, a dog friendly place :))) As for the atmosphere, it is not a fine dining but very clean.

Delicious! Very busy when we arrived and they still offered really exceptional customer service and friendly conversation. Excellent veggie options to choose from. I would definitely go here again! And they had this cherry pie sundae dessert that was amazing. Save room for that!

We visited Pieminister Bath on 28/5/24 for an evening meal. ( 3 people) The food was brill, I haven't had a proper steak and kidney pie like that for ages. And the gravy is something else. The staff were fantastic too so thanks to Bea and Tom

We loved this place so much that we came back all three days of our 3-day trip. Especially enjoyed the veg options but the meat pies were great too. Our server Kaya was so friendly and remembered us each day! Highly recommended.

There was a staff shortage so service took a bit longer than usual but the staff were very helpful and friendly. Thanks to Maxim for the great service! The food was excellent - would recommend the Moo and Blue (with the mothership meal deal).

We didn’t try food, but experienced poor customer service. When walked in we made the waiter aware we are in a rush and asked how much time would we have to wait for food - he seemed to be quite annoyed about the question and said at least 20 mins. We said 20 minutes is fine. Later, we asked if we can place an order and he said “you probably cannot, if you are in a rush go somewhere else”. It was very rude and confusing. We left the place.

Very poor service. Long waits to order and receive food. No water after asking twice. Wrong pie came but at that point we’d been waiting so long so ate regardless. Others waiting even longer than us. Food was good but not worth the dismal service.

The place was unassuming but food was so good. Our waiter left mid shift which was terrible but the manager stepped in despite clearly being overworked herself and made it right. Making a bad situation better always impresses me! I would definitely go back if ever in Bath again.

We were so blown away with the food here. As vegetarians it’s hard to find a good substitute for a traditional pie. We had the jackfruit “steak and ale” pie and it was amazing. The textures and the flavors were spot on. We got it as the “mothership” meal so it came with mash, gravy, cheese and mushy peas. We also got the vegan “chicken and back “ pie and it was good but not as flavorful as the steak and ale. Reminded me of a chicken pot pie. We also got the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and the caramel they use is dark and salted and the perfect compliment to the dish.

Tasty, not crowded, fast service, and reasonably priced. Great!

Mighty good pies. Probably the best mushy peas of my trip. Lots of gravy and great service. I had beef and my wife had chicken. Both were really good. Seating is really nice with big windows.

We were astounded at the selection of pies! They were delicious and a fair price. I enjoyed both the gravy and the spicy ketchup.

The food at pieminister is fantastic, with great side options at a reasonable price. Good service from the staff here, too. Our only niggle was running out of one of the more popular bottomless drink choices mid-afternoon on a Saturday, but we'd still recommend and would definitely return!

Worse pie I ever eat in my life! It looks more like a dirty nappies and it was no beef inside!

Steak and Bleu rocked...classic mushy peas...gravy that seasons anything. Drop in...you won't be disappointed!

Just sharing mine and my partners experience of a recent trip to Pieminster. Went for lunch as part of a trip to Bath for the bank holiday weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Top notch food and service. Opted for the mother ship (pie, mash, minted peas, gravy etc...) and it was just great tasting food. Good service to go with...

Went to have dinner with my wife, the food was good the service was excellent , I would personally recommend this place for lunch and not dinner

First time trying Pieminister and definitely not the last time! The food was very good and generous. Also very cheap price for the quality and quantity. I had the This Isn’t pie and it was delicious. The slaw wasn’t that great though but it’s a small detail. Service was quick and efficient too.

Lovely food, attentive staff, good deals on for the pie and sides, really recommend the pecan pie sundae.

Enjoyed a meal here with my family and what a treat as they had a separate menu for gluten free options. Portion size was good, pies were excellent and the mash devine. Just wish the sticky toffee pudding was gluten free but there were other options. Staff were lovely and friendly and service was very quick even though they were very busy. Highly recommend to all coeliacs who need a pie fix.

Mainly want to give a shout out to all the waiting staff here as they were all doing a fabulous job at staying on top of customers, keeping tables clean and getting orders out. Food did take a while but it was a busy Saturday and I assumed there was possibly only one person in the kitchen. Pie was lovely as always and I often recommend Pieminister to friends and family due to the good quality food and vegan options available.

Visited here whilst supporting individuals with learning disabilities, server was very attentive to our needs and the food as always was really tasty! Reasonably priced too.

1700 on a Thursday was very quiet. Food was good but for three people having a pie & chips/mash plus a beer coming to £55 which means dropping in a £20 note each ... good value? When I think of the gastronomic spread with alcohol that I could do for £60 for three, it makes "pie and a pint" seem a tad on the pricey side. Hey ho. 2024.

We were there for a quick lunch. Waiters were heartwarming , available and rapid. We tried Moo & Blue and Moo. Pies were a bit too thick, we would have liked something more thin as it would be easiest to cut it, it's also a shame the ale wasn't strong enough. Though the minced beef was nice and the blue cheese in the other one was really good. I recommend it.

The 2 stars are for the superstar waitress who was literally on her own as the restaurant filled up nearly to capacity on Friday lunchtime. She was cheerful and friendly despite the increasingly upset faces on the waiting customers. The chef got my order wrong then took 20 mins to fix it; by which time the rest of my table had finished. But the worst thing was that the peas that came with the kids menu were served in a metal dish that had been left under the lights for so long that my daughter burned herself when she picked them up. Hopefully they can fix their staffing issues.

Absolutely fantastic! We popped here for lunch as a casual find and it was wonderful. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, we even had free prosecco for valentines. The pie, chips, cheese and gravy combo was perfect and really hit the spot. Turnaround was also super quick. Highly recommend 👌

Bea was the best host I've ever had. They were so fun and happy and let us take our time. And Alfie absolutely slayed in the kitchen, and my friend thoroughly enjoyed her first time here! 10/10 would recommend to a friend and we will be coming back!
