My Airbnb host, based walking distance from the pub, has recommended me the place during my short visit to Bath. I dined by myself here twice, each time it was a great experience. Staff is very helpful, friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Food is uncomplicated, well presented, and very well cooked. I had sirloin steak one night, and it was made exactly as I ordered and like it. Great atmosphere here too, with live music. If I'll be staying nearby again, I'll definitely come back.

Best Sunday lunch I have had in a long long time. Couldn’t fault it at all. Definitely recommend it.

This was one of the nicest Sunday roasts I've ever had. I arrived an hour early but my table was ready so my server offered me a tab and took me to my seat. The staff were friendly and very attentive throughout, and the food arrived quickly. I had the rolled pork belly, which fell apart as soon as my knife touched it. Delicious. The Yorkshire pudding was huge and had the right combination of crispy and pillowy. The roast potatoes were well cooked, lovely thick gravy and sweet pickled cabbage underneath went very well with the pork. The bubbly crackling was a bit too hard to get through in public without looking like a dog gnawing on a bone, but otherwise I cleaned my plate. I then had the berry cheesecake, which was just the right size not to be overwhelming after a large main. After I finished eating, I sat on one of the comfy sofas waiting for the rain to ease, with a pint of real ale. A great find while on holiday in Englishcombe.

Went for another Sunday roast with my family and as always, food was delicious. Easy to book online. There was a bit of a wait for food to be served, but it was worth it. Desserts all super tasty and great portions too.

A lovely pub that delivers a nice menu. Service was friendly, the meals were lovely quality and as meeting family made all the better for the lovely atmosphere.

One of my favourite places for a roast dinner in bath. Beautiful meals for me and my friends. We tried the roast beef, chicken and the pork. All exquisite and delicious. Sides of pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese also delicious!! Thank you so much!

My wife and I went for Sunday lunch, we had booked which is advisable. The staff were very freindly and efficient. Drinks and then the food came quickly. Plenty of food and well cooked. Nice atmosphere but not loud.

Went for Sunday dinner, so we had the roast. Slow roasted pork belly was excellent. Potatoes a bit dry but the other veges, gravy crackling and Yorkshire pudding were great. Lovely staff, great service.

The Moorfields has been for some time now our go-to for Sunday Lunch. The quality of the food and size of portions cannot be exaggerated, as you will find it difficult to find better elsewhere in Bath at the prices asked. And I can definitely recommend both the Chicken Sunday Roast and Beef; the size of the Yorkshire Puddings, in each, can only be described as enormous. The staff are always friendly and welcoming on arrival, and rarely do you have long to wait before being shown to your table. I really cannot recommend The Moorfields enough, they are truly one of the best venues in Bath for traditional dining and they also have a good range of drinks, both alcoholic and soft. I would recommend booking, especially for Sunday Lunch as it can sometimes get quite busy. There are a limited number of street parking bays available near-by, with the spaces designated for 3 hours of free parking; other parking can be found in adjacent streets. There is a dedicated entrance for wheelchairs and pushchairs available.

Took my parents there for lunch, the food was excellent as was the service. There is a pleasant atmosphere, and I would definitely go again.

Called in for a mid-week lunch with children and dogs. Lady that served us could not have been more helpful. Good pub food and plentiful. Will go again.

Most disappointing roast in Bath

Lovely spacious interior plus big outdoor patio. Nice decor, not too noisy, excellent pizza.

What a place for a Sunday roast. Lovely sitting area inside and out. You watch the chef prepare the food which I always like. The food was not to disappoint, well presented, so much flavour & freshness. It didn't look a lot on the plate but it was all hidden under the big Yorkshire and meat. I had the beef and the missus had the pork belly. 👌👌👌👌 reasonably price for what you get.

Amazing Sunday roast , this is truly Michelin food quality. What a delicious roast this was. This is the best Sunday roast!! 5 out of 5 star quality!!! Highly recommended!!!

Prices are a bit punchy, and garden could do with more maintenance, but fresh pints and good enough food. garden is a bit bare, would be nice to have something for the kids to play with.

This pub is great for any night out, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, thanks Gina for the whiskey recommendations :). As well as the charming decor and great food, the whole atmosphere of this pub is very inviting and the regular guests are always up for a chat. Most blant Peperoni Pizza I've eaten. It does the job as being edible food, but that's about it. It's missing the flavor to be a good pizza.

Expensive with unfriendly bar staff ...,when I complained about the price I was told , I should have bought my drink in a shop.......somebody spent a lot of money doing this place up only to ruin it employing foolish staff

Whilst my wife and I were super early and came in for breakfast, The staff were very tentative and friendly so early on in the morning. However the food was not worth the money we spent.

Went for a Sunday night roast. I had the pork belly which was plentiful, hubby had the sirloin strip which looked under size for the cost. Overall a nice meal but beef option was short on meat

Able to get a last minute seat for a Sunday roast. Great vegetarian options, and lovely selection of beers/ciders. They have a lovely outdoor seating area with table service which was lovely in the sunshine.

Great pub, run a sociable quiz and food is outstanding quality, only a little expensive for a local pub. Beer garden is a nice addition.

Visit the pub for a catch up with some family. It was a lovely atmosphere. The service was brilliant (they were short staffed but you wouldn't of known). The food was delicious, pizza, steak, nachos and mac and cheese bites. Everyone left full and happy. I would definitely book a table if you want to eat as they are popular. Will definitely be back again.

We had a work lunch at the Moorfields - 17 people and it was great.. the service was really smooth and easy and the food was great.

Great food ,attentive staff. Had a lovely sunday roast. Picture doesn't do it justice. More potatoes underneath with broccoli and red cabbage, cauliflower cheese. Allergens well catered for, only criticism was the dinner could of been a little hotter. Would return.

The food tasted good but one meal order out of our party of 4 was completely wrong and the correct meal didn’t arrive until everyone else had finished. It’s a big deal to spend so much money on eating out, so it was really disappointing not to be able to eat together with my family. It puts me off going back though it’s a local pub.

Another great meal all around, this has become my go to place when back inBath visiting friends and family, not the cheapest but not had a bad meal there yet. Staff are attentive and friendly. Also dog friendly, another bonus.

Been going here for several years. Sadly now it has been bought out by a brewery the usual has happened - menu has got worse and the quality has dropped while the prices have been hiked. We had been to the same brewery’s pub in Hope Cove in Devon and this is depressingly trying to replicate that. The staff are still lovely but we were so disappointed compared to how it used to be. We will be switching back to independent owned places.

My night at the Moorfields really cheered me up after a very stressful day. The food was great, the service friendly and efficient and I was pleasantly surprised to have chosen a night with live music - which was superb. Very happy costumer!

We had a Family meal for 10 over the Easter weekend. A warm welcome, the adults had Sunday roasts and the children chose from their menu. Two children were celiac and chose the gluten free options. The roasts were so good, lamb special, pork, chicken and veg options. In particular the vegetables were really well cooked with a lovely bite, most places overdo the veg but not here, the broccoli in particular was perfect. Service was excellent and considerate. Thanks to all the staff and compliments to the chefs. Not had a better roast in Bath. Will return.

We went here for Easter Sunday roast with my elderly parents. They squeezed us in on an early table as we booked quite late. We sat in the restaurant area which is very light and spacious. The roast was pretty darn good. The portions were a good size but not so huge that you couldn't manage a pudding. We all had pudding. They did a smaller portion for my Dad to satisfy his smaller appetite and the service was excellent. The staff were polite and efficient. We will be returning. Thank you.

We have now visited The Moorfields twice. Once for Sunday lunch with visiting family and once for a birthday meal, again with family friends who were not local. On both occasions our table was in the bar rather than the restaurant. The food was delicious and very well presented but the service was really excellent. The venue was busy on both occasions (obviously a popular local venue) but our waitresses, different on both visits, were attentive and happy to help with all our requests including bringing a birthday cake with lit candles to the table. I was really impressed by the attitude of the serving staff—nothing was too much trouble. Would happily recommend the place to friends and we will certainly be going back again very soon. We really enjoyed the food, excellent service and the ambience here.

Can not fault this pub! Back in the day it was a real spit and sawdust pub, but the owners have really done a great job Decor is simple but beautiful, staff friendly and attentive. Fab menu selection and for quality and atmosphere I think reasonable priced I wanted a margarita..... not on their drinks menu and they went out of their way to make it We were a rowdy Friday night group of friends and they were lovely! Will definitely be returning to try the Sunday roast everyones been raving about Top notch Moorfields 👌👏👍

I had the pie swapping mash for the chunky chips (delicious and nice and hot). Wife had mushroom risotto and also really good. No complaints at all. I then had the Biscoff cheesecake- it was to die for. Pub was really great and a good atmosphere and friendly staff. Would recommend a visit. We are just visiting Bath for a couple of nights and came across this pub as not too far from our hotel

We visited the Moorfields last night for a family birthday party. Being a coeliac makes eating out tricky and worrying. I cannot fault the Moorfields care, service, staff and food. Absolutely superb. I was presented with my own platter of tasty and imaginative foods that you wouldn't have known was gluten free. A lovely evening in wonderful surroundings. I would not hesitate to return.

The food was a bit pricey and came out cold, very small portions, you would think we were living in North Korea and the best thing about this place is the point of Guinness, I would not recommend this place to anyone and I won't be back

This is are second time hear and I would say that the second time was the worst meal I have ever had it came out cold sent it back when it came out again it was colder and all you can taste was salt I would never eat there again

A big thank you to Maria and the team for laying on a wonderful buffet following our mums funeral. The food was delicious and met all of our dietary requirements, of which there were many. Maria in particular showed great patience and empathy when I met with her a few days earlier to discuss the menu choices and on the day, she along with the rest of the team worked respectfully and efficiently. Thank you again for making such a difficult day run so smoothly.

Many thanks to the team for putting on a great lunch buffet after my Mum's funeral. Maria and the team were really helpful and patient with all our dietary requirements. Everyone thought the food was great and the back room was a very comfortable venue for us.

Had a fab evening here on the last night of a short visit to Bath- friendly welcome and a cosy corner table for the dog. All the food was excellent quality- we just shared bread and olives to start but it was all really tasty. We each had the small fish and chips, which was one of the best I’ve ever had! Delicious fresh thick fillet with thin crispy batter, fluffy and perfect chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce with a nice glass of Chardonnay. Really good value too. Highly recommend a visit!

Came across this superb gastro pub whilst visiting the stunning town of Bath, the interior is comfy and suits dining and just lounging for drinks , the outside looks very nice with its partitioned seating and benches, and solid comfortable seating , the pub is also super dog friendly which Milo ( my fur baby loved) and I. I had the fish and chips which was Newlyn - landed Hake , the batter was gorgeous with the St Austell beer batter and the chunky chips were delicious ( I had baked beans due to not liking minted peas ) service was fantastic .. I would highly recommend for a visit for drinks and especially the food which was outstandingly delicious . Milo and I will surely return …

We were happy with the selection of food and quality of service. The only downfall was that we were overcharged for the bottles of wine but when we returned the following day and pointed this out, the manager corrected the mistake and generously gave us...

Great place for breakfast or dinner

What a cracking pub, great food and drinks with a really good atmosphere. Lovely restaurant area as well. Staff were all very friendly and cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. Had an Airbnb just around the corner for a weekend and ate and drank there twice and really enjoyed it. Definitely recommend visiting as we will again if in the area.

Excellent English pub, large and spacious, with a pub-style room and a restaurant-style room. The beers are great and the food is of high quality. Cheesecake drove me crazy. Lovely attention. Probably the best pub in Bath

Turned away on a Sunday afternoon by the bartender who announced that every table was booked and unavailable, even though there were empty tables near the bar and one near the sofa. They certainly were not full but the young man was adamant and declared that we should try one of the many other cafes nearby. We live locally and just popped in for some drinks and perhaps a side of chips. I spotted a small table, at the front, and said we're happy to sit there but the bartender said it was booked for customers arriving in 45 minutes! Seriously! I got the impression they just didn't want to serve any more customers. Anyhow, we popped in the Velo for a lovely half an hour and on the way home went to the Moorfields to view the situation. This time the sofa was free, as were several other tables. We're making an effort now to avoid the Moorfields!

Love Moorefields and the staff are great and would always come here, though this is the second time eating dinner here and an hour wait for main course both times!

Really poor food, we were a bit embarrassed for the waiting staff who were helpful. After taking our orders it was 1 hour before anything came out of the kitchen. At first it seemed well presented, but transpired it was barely edible, burgers were greasy/sloppy...

It's the 2nd year we came for our Christmas meal and could not fault anything......except there is no access for a wheelchair to the clokeroom otherwise great.

Very different from what I remember of this place when I lived in bath as a student. Very modern and trendy. Lovely place for a Christmas meal. But disappointed with the lack of variety of ciders and bottled drinks.

Came here for a works Christmas meal. The starters and mains were fantastic. The Christmas pudding was smaller than I expected. The sticky toffee pudding looked incredible. Really good selection of drinks too. I would recommend.

Beautiful pub for the locals. Attend for a wake, the pub delivered a Beautiful spread of flat breads, pigs in blankets, mac & cheese bites lots to choose from. Beautiful decor and lovely atmosphere. Parking limited at the pub and appear to need a permit in the surrounding area. We risked it and parked on the side of the Rd away.

I would say, nice place for the evening drink/ meal, but service charge more then actually in the menu, is totally nonsense. Really disappointed.

We feel this is our local and booked in today for Sunday lunch. The food was luke warm and undercooked. Indeed the cauliflower cheese was so hard you couldn’t cut it. After having had some great meals and snacks at this pub we hope this...

Wow- another delicious breakfast in the friendly Moorfields. Absolutely our favourite place to breakfast/brunch in Bath with the family and friends. Pancakes with Greek yoghurt and fruit was super and the full English looked bang on, the coffee is up there too, so we will be back very soon! Thanks guys.

We visited the pub this week and tried out the new menu - delicious! The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Would definitely reccomend this pub!
