The staff were friendly and prompt. The food was piping hot fresh. I tried the steak and ale pasty (yes that's spelled right) and my wife had the chorizo version. They were pretty good! The kiddos had donuts which they loved. They opened at 7:30 but didn't have pasties ready till about 8:30am.

The service, pastries and coffee were spot on. We ended up going there each morning to get a bite for breakfast. Conveniently located near the Roman Baths

We picked up a couple of pasties take away during a tour stop in Bath. They were so filling, we could have shared one between us.

Tempting food in window. Went in to order, saw an assistant serving a family group at far end of counter, so joined queue and waited patiently. Assistant saw me and said nothing at this point. Another customer entered and waited mid way along the counter, another assistant appeared and served her. Guessed this assistant thought i was part of the group being (very slowly) served. Said something to second assistant and first assistant reported that it was my fault id been overlooked because i should have waited midway along the counter. I said that was no sign. Plus she'd seen me and said nothing earlier. She tried and said they didn't serve customers when a delivery had arrived (which it had while she was serving previous customers) but she'd serve me in the circumstances. I have my order as it's already waited so long. She prepared it but then saw my money and said"we don't accept cash". I said again that there was no sign for that either. She just looked at me as if i was stupid. I walked out. I did not like being in this cafe, the lack of signage and the humiliating way i was spoken to. I would not go in this cafe again. I was rather taken aback by how rude and confrontational this assistant was. Customer service appalling - though did did look good. Shame i never got to try it!

Cafe wasn’t busy and the staff were not very engaged with customers - pretty poor service and an average coffee. I ordered a croissant and it was heated in a microwave which made it soggy. I’m sure there are better places

PIGEON. when we were there there were 3 major issues. 1. No COKE or PEPSI the only option was cornish cola and one of the important factors of any cafe I go to is real brand coke or pepsi. 2. There were no toilets you had to go across the road to the roman baths. 3. Pigeon dishwashers, instead of employing the traditional dishwashing methods they left dirty plates outside for an hour to be cleaned by pigeons (see photo). However the cinnamon swirl and milkshake were nice so I give 2 stars

The Cornish Bakery became our go to stop for the 4 days we were in bath. Great atmosphere, food, and drinks. Will definitely back next time we are in Bath. Special shout out to Ellie, Jack, and Alec who were so lovely and kind whenever we stopped in—they made killer Mochas and were so great to chat with!

We stopped here for Cornish Pasties on our walk around town. They were delicious and just was we needed to warm our bellies on a cold day. Highly recommend.

Went into your bakery Today 29th November and was greeted by a lovely lady the service was excellent and all the staff was friendly and very welcome thank you Alex and team , the pasty and hot chocolate was lovely too.

I was in Bath visiting the Roman Baths but before my tour began, there was time to grab a quick lunch. After walking around for 20 minutes, I chose The Cornish Bakery because I liked the clean storefront and the tempting pastries in the window. The staff was polite and helpful, the interior of the bakery clean and well lit. I really wanted the pasty with bacon but they were sold out! I ended up a delicious curried cauliflower pasty that had just a hint of curry (I don't like spicy). The pastry was just right, not too dense, flaky and filling. Sadly, my hot chocolate tasted watery, which was disappointing. How does one mess up hot chocolate? I wished I had ordered a pastry; the cake slices and baked goods looked very, very good.

Did a bulk pasty order with these guys for my birthday. I rang them beforehand, they were really helpful and had everything ready on the day, labelled and packaged in insulating boxes (we were taking them on a walk). They were exceptionally friendly and generous when I came to collect them - plus the food was good, including the vegan options! Would recommend.

The sausage rolls are very tasty, as was the steak square. They are small, but reasonably priced, so grab two and be happy! However, the meringue cookies look tempting, but must have been sitting in the window for at least two days. They were rock hard! Not tasty. We threw them out. Not at all like Portuguese meringues or the great ones in Spain. More like hard plaster. Sad.

Always great service and food. The staff are professional and attentive even when super busy. Regularly stop off there when we’re in town

We came here for lunch we ordered two cakes and cuppa and cold drink the lady served us was lovely very friendly and the food and drinks was spot on we sat down at the table and then got told to move by a large male with a pony tail he said no you cant sit here and moved us my boyfriend and i are both disabled my boyfriend had a disabled badge around him he has arthritis and a severe brain injury so we sat on another chair table again for the second time again the guy with the pony tail very abruptly told us to move again in front of other customers we had no where to sit i had to eat my cake and drink standing up which i left half of it my boyfriend felt really uncomfortable and left his the other lady who was sat behind us saw this happening i had a few witnesses who was sat down at the time saw and heard him say to us no you cant sit here. I felt really uncomfortable and out of place very rude to us we dont know why. We did buy food and drink from your shop it is a very nice shop but the guy with the pony tail needs to be improved on customer service we had no idea at the time who he was we just saw this guy come towards us asking us to move not just once but twice we are from Lincolnshire my boyfriend first time in bath. Food was great but it put us off going back here again to the cafe. It was a real shame

I stopped over Wednesday for a couple of lemonades and sausage rolls, and Tash and Summer welcomed me. The food was outstanding, and the two servers made the enjoyable atmosphere. I strongly recommend Cornish Bakery!

Such a delicious breakfast. Food was prepared fresh. Staff was friendly and helpful when it came to ordering. As the restaurant is located in a busy section of the city center (right across from the Roman Bath and church), it can get busy.

Best Cornish Pasties served outside of Cornwall. Seating is a real challenge as the accommodation is severely limited. Fortunately we found accommodating guests that were happy to share a table. Well worth the effort - the pasties are excellent - well worth the tight seating.

We stumbled across this place accidently and ordered 2x cheese and onion pasties and 2x brownies. While we have had better brownies, the pasties were some of the best we'd had.

This morning I had the fantastic experience of going into the counish bakery Bath. Staff were simply incredible, friendly and quick. I have an amazing white chocolate and raspberry muffin made by Amy would definitely have again. Definitely worth a visit if you visiting Bath!

Amazing!!! So good we came back a second day in row. The Cornish Pudding was great we came to get seconds the next day and they were already sold out. Drinks were really delicious as well. Late afternoon they have flash sales too.

The staff here (Lydia in particular) completely made not only our visit but our whole day with their warm and approachable nature! The hot chocolate and pastry we had were absolutely delicious and served in a way that felt safe given the current pandemic. Excellent value for money, location and simply unrivalled service! I visited this bakery for breakfast on the last day of my trip and it was amazing!! The staff in there were all really lovely and their croissants and the best I’ve ever had!! Would definitely recommend and will 100% go back

Stopped by here in our holiday weekend and was not disappointed. In fact we went there two days in a row! Vicki was super friendly and helpful, the Cornish pastries were world class and other pastries beyond excellent. I must stop when in Bath.

I came here after reading the reviews and I'm so glad I did! It was end of day where they discount what's remaining - a still fresh and warm pasty for 1.50? Yes please! That plus a cup of coffee and 2 pastries and it was all under a fiver. Plus, that pasty was delicious - one of the best I've had in ages, and I'll definitely be back again this week for more. Bath was quite busy the day we visited and we were on a day tour, so we had limited time for lunch. My husband found the bakery while I was in a gift shop and he purchased beef pasties for us. We found a spot nearby to sit and eat. The pasties were very good. If in Bath again, we would eat here.

Varied selection of pasties which were really tasty. Quick efficient service. Great place to grab a takeaway when busy sightseeing. There are a few tables outside and its right next to the Roman Baths and Abbey. Top tip: towards the end of the day they reduce all their pasties, if they have surplus stock, in order to clear. Well done to them for that, cuts waste and great for Customers.

I had a vegan pasty, and the pork, apple and cider pasty. They had quite a few others such as Thai chicken, steak and stilton. Perhaps I'll try them tomorrow. They were both still warm when they were served to me. I could taste the difference between this and the usual Greggs and other bakeries. This is high quality. I was served by Claire. She was quick and efficient in serving customers, and cheerful and positive. This was what I needed after coming out after seeing the Roman Baths. It was a nice warm authentic meal before going back to my hotel. It was better than the other cornish bakery places at train stations. I was happily surprised how good they were.

On the outside it looks like very cute and cosy, but inside it feels a bit more like a subway. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I ordered a hot chocolate but sadly it only really tasted of milk. They made me another one but unfortunately it had the same problem, so I was disappointed twice. They also don't have recycling which is sad.

Have not found a place at my favorite kitchen to grab a scone, I was pleased to find this place serving scones and croissants. However, it was not long before i regretted my decision. The floor behind the display area was dirty. The waitress wiped the table with a dirty towel, that she used also to wipe her face. She brushed the crumbs of the tables onto the floor. All this made me wonder if they ever wash the plates used to serve us, including the cream and jam cups. The coffee was poor too. will never come back.
