What a wonderful place. Great food in a really cosy atmosphere with excellent staff all round. We would recommend this restaurant most highly for all those visiting Bath. If you look inside you may think it is full but it has two floors of great experience and well worth a visit.

Booked Sunday Lunch here, arrived a little early but it was closed until 12pm, which I thought was a bit strange as you could book a table for 12pm. Lots of staff serving which were all very attentive, our food tasted delicious and it would have been a 5* if it had been hot. I'm not a fan of luke warm food as by the time you are finishing it, it's stone cold. We'll come back again and hope it was just the mad rush for early bookings that caused this issue.

Was so excited to try this place as I’d heard good things. Unfortunately our experience was completely the opposite. We decided to go straight for mains which unfortunately resulted in an hours wait. Wouldn’t have minded so much if it was busy but of course this wasn’t the case. We asked after our food after 45 minutes to a lady, to which was taken extremely badly by who we assumed was the manager. She followed this by muttering negatively in her own language (slightly awkward that we understood exactly what she had said) which was completely unprofessional and set the tone for the rest of our meal. Our food finally arrived and was completely disappointing, the duck tasted like it had been boiled in a bag and the potatoes were pretty much boiled rather than roasted. The only saving graces which is why we thought a 2 star was fair was our lovely charming Italian server Sahara and the location of course is quite lovely. It would seem the place is now closed down which based on our experience is probably for the best but we hope the waitress and other front of house staff find a nicer working environment as they were definitely wasted here.

I went to The Hive with my partner for my birthday and it was fantastic! The staff were wonderful and friendly. We had the bread board to start and I had duck for the main, while my partner had steak - all of which was delicious. We managed to make room for dessert, both the chocolate brownie and sticky toffee pudding were very tasty. I’d definitely recommend a visit!

Such a great restaurant! All of the dishes were creative and effective, and prepared so well. We had amaaaazing service from Senya (sp.) who treated us well the whole night, gave great recommendations, and helped us have a blast. Really good cocktails as well. The lamb was an absolute standout dish, so tender and well-cooked and the sides were all great. Also loved the truffle fries with it, but everything was great!

Probably the best restaurant I’ve been to in bath bar none!! We have pretty much eaten in most of the restaurants in Bath. The food was amazing , atmosphere just perfect, service just the right type of attentive but not too try hard and they played great music!! What more could you want. We will make this our number one restaurant. Can’t believe it has taken us 9 years of living in bath to find it!!!

My friend and I had a beautiful Sunday lunch in the Hive. I had booked in advance and asked if it was possible to have a table by the window, overlooking the river, thankfully one was available. Each member of the staff we dealt with was absolutely lovely. The menu is straight forward, as in 5/6 meat choices and included in the price is a large serving platter of potato, vegetables, roasted garlic and gravy, a massive Yorkshire pudding is also included. The food was delicious, I couldn't fault it. We also had the sticky toffee pudding and brownie and they were lovely. There are 3 seating areas on different floors and the decor is beautiful and quirky. Service charge at 10% is included in the bill. I would highly recommend the Hive.

A beautiful restaurant with an amazing view and atmosphere!! The food was to die for and the customer service 10/10! Prices were quite reasonable especially for the portions you get. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy good food with an amazing view of the river.

We stumbled across this place by accident really, as had come to bath for a day out for a mooch with the dogs. (Me, my partner and 2 hounds). We noticed a sign to say dog friendly so booked for later that day (Sunday Roast). When we came back we were greeted by some lovely ladies who showed us to the table, and came to take our drinks order straight away and asked if the dogs needed water. We were sat in the window so did some people watching, ordered our roast ( I went cauliflower steak and my partner the pork belly). It was refreshing to see a vegetarian option which was not mushroom or nut roast!! The food arrived within about 15 minutes and it looked and tasted amazing. All was freshly home cooked, and great presentation! Definitely one of the best places I have been for a roast dinner, and would highly recommend. Wish I could give you a rating on some pudding but was too full to order. Great setting, atmosphere, decor, food, and dog friendly which is perfect. Highly recommend and would absolutely go back when we are back in the city!
